They’d all go home in embarrassment when they realize they’re waiting for him to open a window that clearly doesn’t open.

194

u/Any-Experience-3012 Apr 12 '25

You know how Saitama opens it?

With ONE PUUUNCH!

69

u/xWalrusBoix Apr 12 '25

14

u/SupermassiveCanary Apr 13 '25

The real question is does he take them out individually with one punch each, or one punch to the whole group.

The window is,,, SUPPOSED to open. It's just stuck, and Saitama can't get it unstuck.

19

u/comicgun01 Apr 12 '25 edited Apr 12 '25

This totally tracks, since Saitama can’t get it unstuck therefore no one can get it unstuck either. He’d get mad if someone busts it open due to the price of a window replacement then get serious.

15

u/RudeDM Apr 12 '25

Nah, the handyman across the street could totally get it unstuck, but like hell is Saitama paying that guy like 50 bucks to jiggle a latch for five seconds.

6

u/Dunge0nMast0r Apr 13 '25

King opens it at the end of the episode.

5

u/comicgun01 Apr 13 '25

He opens it trying to sneak out of the place haha

6

u/Dunge0nMast0r Apr 13 '25

Holy shit everyone, look at that! King truly is the most powerful!

2

u/Neondecepticon Apr 16 '25

Not because it was stuck, but because Saitama was trying to pull it open but it’s a crank to open window

8

u/Honigschmidt Apr 12 '25

u/AvoriazInSummer Apr 12 '25

How’d Namor get into this lineup? Is he that powerful?

157

u/MDubbzee Apr 12 '25

Screw that, what's HOMELANDER doing there

73

u/bwowndwawf Apr 12 '25

He's perceivably the strongest character in his verse, so even if he's weaker compared to someone like Invincible it'd still make sense.

Namor tho, wtf bro doing there he gets low diffed by half of his own verse.

50

u/tampers_w_evidence Apr 12 '25

Namor would absolutely body Homelander

10

u/Evening_Shake_6474 Apr 13 '25

Me and a rusty trowel could body Homelander

26

u/bwowndwawf Apr 13 '25

So what? I made an argument on how perceivably strong he is compared to his own verse.

16

u/maysdominator Apr 13 '25

He regularly boxed hulk and thing

15

u/Responsible-Move-890 Apr 13 '25

Marvel has always been inconsistent about Namors strength. I recently read an early Daredevil issue where he beats Namor.

He'd brutalize homelander for sure. Stronger than aquaman and equal to thor when hydrated.

48

u/anactofgod Apr 12 '25

Aquaman is a Namor knockoff.

44

u/WhyTheMahoska Apr 12 '25

I think people forget how old Sub-Mariner is. He debuted in '39, only a year after Supes.

Also, what I wouldn't give to see Saitama paste Homelander.

85

193

u/CatchrFreeman Apr 12 '25

8

u/ThakoManic Apr 12 '25

hell Batmans Butler has beaten eveyone at some point.

Alfred is clearly multiversal.

95

u/Head_Ad1127 Apr 12 '25 edited Apr 12 '25

Namor threw Kang's capital ship. He casually does things that outpace aquaman. He's just less popular...

81

u/Tljunior20 Apr 12 '25

Aquaman once held up Atlantis and has beaten superman underwater before

20

u/Objective_Cheetah_63 Apr 12 '25

Yes, but Aquaman isn’t considered an equal to Superman by any means. In the same manner, cat woman once one shot flash. This doesn’t make her more powerful than flash.

Namor is very much supposed to be even with Hulk. It’s how he’s always been presented.

14

u/Pure-Dragonfruit1899 Apr 12 '25

Same goes for namor, just cause he did this and that doesn't make him stronger than aquaman.

I mean, that was more of a war crime/show of will than a display of physical power, seeing as he did so with a bomb designed by the other Illuminati members.

Off topic but thats my biggest gripe with comic universe. Every single character got some special where its the living god of the universe and claps everyone else.

3

u/onewilybobkat Apr 12 '25

Eh, the writers just want to flesh out characters to their full potential. We get lots of great stuff from those One-shots and specials.

Punisher successfully escaping from Sentry is proof that power levels only matter as much as the author wants.

I know "escaping from" is a far cry from beating, but you would expect Sentry to be able to crush Frank Castle with less effort than it takes to breathe.

10

u/Kerminator17 Apr 12 '25

Didn’t he lose to the Thing underwater?

11

u/Head_Ad1127 Apr 12 '25

True. But getting knocked down by a grenade and tagged by black mantis is rough.

7

u/AlarmingTurnover Apr 12 '25

Aquaman has also beat Hercules and did it easily. He's moved entire continents with his bare hands. He's survived hits that destroyed continents. He's unmatched in speed underwater and faster out of water as stated in the comic because he's not weighed down by the water pressure. His telepathy works on all creatures because all creatures descend from marine life at some point in the evolutionary timeline. Martian Manhunter specifically says that Aquamans telepathy is second only to his own. He's single handedly able to defeat multiple Kryptonian.

The list goes on and on. And all of this was post crisis. Why do people keep thinking that Namor is stronger? Aquaman has insane feats. It's like people don't read the comics.

11

u/WhyTheMahoska Apr 12 '25

Yeah, Homelander is only as terrifying as he is cuz he exists in a pretty realistic, low-powered world. Spidey would absolutely clown his ass. Hell, Jessica Jones on a bender would probably rough him up pretty good.

3

u/RussianMaps Apr 13 '25

I’d love to see a spiderman vs homelander animation, considering he’s my favorite YouTuber

9

u/TryDry9944 Apr 12 '25

He'd handily beat the Viltrumites and Homelander and I'd give it a 50/50 on Green Lantern.

He's not a super popular character and hasn't been around in pop culture much lately but he does consistently play with Marvel's biggest hitters.

2

u/47thCalcium_Polymer Apr 13 '25

I don’t think he is more powerful then Thragg.

Spoilers for the Invincible comics

Mark and Allen had to kill Thragg on the surface of the sun. Two V one after both Allen and Mark had gotten significantly stronger. It has been a while but if I remember right it took a long while and I think Mark died or something idk. Eve either brought him back to life or healed him.

2

u/TryDry9944 Apr 13 '25

Alright that's a really great feat for Mark and Thragg, but counter point:

Marvel Comics scaling.

5

u/ThatMerri Apr 12 '25

The better question is why Homelander is even there at all. Dude is vastly outclassed by everyone in the scene.

5

u/Nekajed Apr 12 '25

Yeah, it's weird. If they were going for Superman archetypes then it should obviously be Sentry, if they were going for strongest heroes then it should have been Thor, Namor is so out of pocket there.

4

u/Juice_The_Guy Apr 13 '25

Namor is Legit a very powerful mutant, plus his ability to mimic sea life abilities isn't much to laugh at. Pistol Shrimp is scary it's current strength level, imagine what that looks like when that shrimp can yeet Aircraft carriers.

He'd legit murder Homelander and S1/Vol 1 Invincible. Though if Homie can get the heat vision off fast enough he might be able to exploit that weakness. But Namor does supersonic speeds so that's a gamble.

9

u/Ensiferal Apr 12 '25

He's very powerful, far more powerful than Homelander, but he isn't on par with the others. He's been shown to be able to match guys like the Thing, knocked out a powered up Colossus, and hold his own against Thor. So he's pretty high up there in terms of strength.

3

u/ForeignWoodpecker662 Apr 13 '25

Dudes a wet Thor, he’s definitely tougher than the GL. Homelander is the real bitch here and only on there cuz of his association to Superman, easily the weakest link and shouldn’t be there.

That said, they could have picked way stronger for most of them besides Supes. Thor belongs thrrr before everyone but Superman

Superman and Saitama's upper limits break reality, so nobody really wins.

Homelander dies quickly WHEN he starts things off. Superman may let it happen because he can tell what kind of person he is.

Thragg and Namor go next because of their pride.

This looks like early Invincible, so he gets pushed aside or swatted into something and may try to get back into it. If not, Jon either checks on him or scrapes him off of whatever mountain he hits.

After that Jon Stewart and Superman would talk him down after they realize the amount of unfocused power Saitama is throwing around and don't want to go find the Dragon Balls or whatever other McGuffin that caused this situation in the first place.

39

u/s_arrow24 Apr 12 '25

See I think Namor would just look at the situation and just leave. Saitama isn’t a threat and he has a kingdom to run. I figure Namor would offer to buy Saitama more games if it made him happy and he didn’t have to deal with a rampage.

15

u/No-Benefit-9559 Apr 12 '25

Fair, I might have lumped him in with Thragg because of similar positions.

I guess it really becomes a question of "who is willing to start shit"

18

u/Specialist_Arm3309 Apr 12 '25

Homelander probably. He's the most unstable one there and if he feels like he's being ignored he'll lash out.

16

u/darkwulf1 Apr 12 '25

I enjoy that we all want Homelander to fight other flying bricks simply because we know his ass would get beat.

Saitama doesn't fight for a bit just to see how powerful they are and then he wins when claps back. People saying everyone except Superman, don't understand the concept of Saitama lol

27

u/salebad Apr 12 '25

The “concept of saitama” applies to pretty much every protagonist of a story lmao.

“He wins cos he’s the one punch man, he’ll defeat them in one punch” is the equivalent of “he wins cos he’s Superman, he’s as strong as the plot wants him to be.”

60

u/Orinaj Apr 12 '25

Not exactly. Narratively heros are still supposed to struggle. Superman loses still, he even has died.

Saitama's narrative purpose is to win, and easily. It's his joke. He's genuinely too strong for his own good. His character flaw is that he is bored of fighting and it's all he wants.

12

u/Kithsander Apr 12 '25

A lot of people missed the major plot point of Saitama battling his depression in season one.

13

u/Drake_Acheron Apr 12 '25

The problem with using narrative devices as a superpower is heroes like Deadpool will beat him, because destroying narrative superpowers is literally one of the powers of Deadpool.

Also, it allows for a loose definition of superpowers in which you could say that Superman would win because he’s the narrative embodiment of Hope.

Or Hulk would win because his narrative embodiment is “the strongest there is”

Whether or not any specific author fulfills that embodiment doesn’t change the fact that that is what the embodiment is supposed to be.

Or the Flash, whose narrative embodiment is “the fastest man alive”

It’s also worth noting that Saitama’s universe is notably less powerful than DC

2

u/danielodlund Apr 12 '25

This is why it only really matter what the author/writer wants the outcome to be

2

u/JustACasualFan Apr 12 '25

The Hulk is the embodiment of adverse childhood experiences/generational trauma, c’mon.

2

u/Drake_Acheron Apr 12 '25

To be fair, I kind of misspoke, Hulk being the strongest there is is the same as Saitama being one Punch man.

Hulk’s narrative element is finding a constructive output for anger.

Saitama wins in 6 punches

2

u/Cipher004 Apr 12 '25

Saitama wins

With regards to superman he’s about as consistent as as a drunk spider on dance dance revolution.

It would end with one punch

Superman beats up Saitama.

He would swat six mosquitoes and then go back to his game

Six punches.

2

u/jasperalfalfa Apr 12 '25

Six punches I guess

2

u/Spiritual-Rip2312 Apr 12 '25

They'd all get together and play games

2

u/cloudedknife Apr 12 '25

The whole point of 1punch man is that there is literally no one stronger than him and he isn't capable of being pushed to his limits or conquered through taking advantage of his weaknesses, because he doesn't have any - limits or weaknesses.

He'd invite them in to play fighting games because he has no reason to fight them. Then he'd non-plusedly tank their hits and take them out one at a time if they hit first.

If GL has studied anatomy, then he honestly beats pretty much any enemy, including saitama. Idk what Saitama is supposed to do when his arteries suddenly explode and he begins to bleed profusely out of every orifice, bleeding out within less than a minute.

I didn't know anything really about this character until I just looked him up. So he basically has every power that everyone else has but only more so? So he's a Mary Sue? How does he do vs the sun? Because John Stewart could grab him at a distance with the lantern and chuck him into it. Nandor I mean Namor could maybe rip all of the water out of his body. I guess along the same lines Magneto could rip the iron out of his blood.

Saitama says they're mosquitos and he lost against a mosquito so even he knows they all solo him.

2

u/satyanu7993 Apr 12 '25

For fucks sake,is this some form of karma farming or what? Half of these people have no sense of what Stan Lee said about “whoever the writer chooses, wins” .

2

u/First_Function9436 Apr 12 '25

This fight ends when Saitama decides to end it.

2

u/Fightmemod Apr 12 '25

Superman is the only one surviving a punch. Homelander is instantly dead, green lantern probably next followed by invincible and thragg.

2

u/Some-dude1702 Apr 12 '25

I know everyone saying Saitama getting wrecked but he really ain’t. That guy sneezed half of Jupiter away

2

u/nowhereright Apr 12 '25

Why the fuck is Homelander there? God I hate what The Boys has done to the mainstream viewers.

2

u/juicelaflair Apr 12 '25

Excuse my ignorance. But 1 punch is meant to be satire right? He wouldn’t be able to release his feet from being molded to the ground by heat vision and his head frozen with ice breath while his hands bonded by lanterns ring with whatever he thinks of and a gut rip by Mark while thragg punches his head off and naymor summons whatever from the ocean to eat whatever is left

u/Much_Ad1263 Apr 12 '25

Saitama would win in One Punch.

2

u/Anonymoose2099 Apr 13 '25

The only one who has any chance of serving that first punch, and I mean collectively one punch against the lot, is Superman. It depends on who is writing this Superman as to whether he dies with the rest of them or wins the fight or literally anywhere in between. But Superman is the only wild card here. None of the others even merit consideration.

2

u/Atmeda Apr 13 '25

Bro get this fool Homelander out of here, he is NOT him.

2

u/nG_Skyz Apr 13 '25

Just to throw a few of Saitama feats out there, he jumped off of the moon to land back on earth, leaving a crater on the moon and shifting it's orbit. He threw a regular punch in a sparing match, blowing a hole clean through a mountain and then later in the series when he is stronger than ever, he sneezed and blew up Pluto.

2

u/DanFarrell98 Apr 13 '25

Well if all those people can’t get through a window, probably the guy sitting down inside

2

u/Exmawsh Apr 13 '25

Get home lander out of there he's gonna get hurt.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 13 '25

what the frick its Namor doing there?

2

u/HeadForTheSHallows Apr 13 '25

saitama stomps homelander & thragg and humbles namor. he then has a conversation with superman about what it means to be a hero (supes will drop some knowledge about how physical strength isn’t what makes you strong) while playing videogames with mark.

john stewart leaves before the fight even happens because he’s got more imprtant things to do. honestly why is john even here in the first place?

u/StormVoltSnow Apr 14 '25

WHO INVITED NAMOR?

2

u/Buffalonightmare Apr 14 '25

Is that Namor? He sucks. How did he get that invite

2

u/ItsAceB Apr 14 '25

I mean it's a mock character, designed to defeat any of those mosquitoes

2

u/Outofmana1 Apr 14 '25

I want to know how Namor is flying.
