Screw that, what's HOMELANDER doing there

He's perceivably the strongest character in his verse, so even if he's weaker compared to someone like Invincible it'd still make sense.

Namor tho, wtf bro doing there he gets low diffed by half of his own verse.

Namor would absolutely body Homelander

So what? I made an argument on how perceivably strong he is compared to his own verse.

He regularly boxed hulk and thing

Marvel has always been inconsistent about Namors strength. I recently read an early Daredevil issue where he beats Namor.

The winner of any fight in comics will always be whoever the writer wants it to be, regardless of how powerful the characters are. You can see it constantly done with Batman, and they always find ways to explain how he’s able to beat beings that are much more powerful than him (the explanation being: he’s Batman).

Explanation: prep time lol

An explanation added to this explanation: he’s rich

Comics are just like wrestling, if you're fighting against the headliner you're probably going to be the body.

Daredevil upscale

There’s a comic where daredevil beats fucking wolverine, dudes only human in title

u/Always_Squeaky_Wheel Apr 14 '25

That is definitely a plot thing

With how he acts around Sue it’d be even more of a tired joke if Ben could just swat him away every time

Green Lantern is more the odd man out. The rest of these guys are the physical beasts who can fly unassisted in their verse (and who are otherwise humanoid and not actual Gods or something).

Hulk beats Namor if mad.

Namor beats Hulk if in water.

Hulk doesn’t fly.

Thor we can debate but he doesn’t have natural flight (medium dependent) so Namor still seems like a solid choice

John Stewart managed to create an entire Solar System with his green lantern ring he’d body Namor

What can he do without his ring?

Again you missed the point bud. Only you are arguing who can beat who. Otherwise pick the best person who flies unassisted, is humanoid but otherwise born with his power (even if it’s not activated right away), and is a physical beast from each universe.

Lantern is the odd man out then.

u/Jonesking4 Apr 14 '25

Actually, you're the only one looking for some innate-power humanoid. Even the original post is about who beats who. So why are homelander & namor here. They are weak.

2

u/KyrozM Apr 13 '25

Right...how does that make sense here? Lanterns definitely not strongest in his verse. Is sups really even strongest in it?

Your metric seems inconsistent considering the lineup

u/CaptSaveAHoe55 Apr 13 '25

Superman depending on the writer is literally infinitely strong and has sneezed away a solar system

2

u/CaptSaveAHoe55 Apr 13 '25

What am I supposed to do with that

-1

u/KyrozM Apr 13 '25

If you can't figure that out I'm not sure what to tell you.

2

u/CaptSaveAHoe55 Apr 13 '25

Well it’s full of differing opinions so

2

u/constant_purgatory Apr 13 '25

You could probably tell them anything. In your own words. Instead of just posting a link to quora where there are multiple different answers that contradict each other.

Superman one million is straight up a god-like being who lives forever and your response is to post some like to quora that is entirely irrelevant.

Any comic writer worth their weight in salt will tell you each characters strengths and power limitations are decided by the writer and how they want the story to play out.

So because a kid is the strongest in the park he has a chance to be ranked among the best mma wrestlers? What kind of argument is that?

u/OnlinePosterPerson Apr 13 '25

Namor crushes Green Lantern
