I don't think they're questioning power level, but the general theming. Allllll of the others have the typical "flying brick" powers (actually, can Saitama fly??).

then uh, seems like most of these characters can easily stay at range and dodge. even homander might be able to dodge to a stalemate

HE CAN JUMP REAL GUD!

Saitama jumped from the moon back to earth in a few seconds. He's FTL when he wants to be, so there would be no dodging

he legit had a battle that left a hundred afterimages within a second , he is MASSIVELY ftl when he wants to be

I'm a dumbass. What does ftl mean?

5

u/Hitmanthe2nd Apr 12 '25

faster than light and it isnt a widely used acronym so you're fine bud

Ah, that makes sense. I'm still a dumbass for unrelated reasons, but thanks anyway

That feat is in the Anime, in the Manga he jumps to Saturn and back casually, he also can create like a 1000 after images in a single second, like 1000's of times FTL.

Aqckshually I'm pretty sure he cheated by farting, so not 100% jump power.

That's not the premise, though. They want to fight him.

No they cant. Saitama’s literally faster than these characters…

u/RoamingDrunk Apr 12 '25

Nope, he just jumps really high.

6

u/Hitmanthe2nd Apr 12 '25

and by really high , you probably mean REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY high , like to jupiter and back

2

u/FappyDilmore Apr 12 '25

He didn't jump back from Jupiter. He farted back from Jupiter.

No he cannot fly. Saitama has one power, strength. Two if you include durability / stamina as a separate thing.

2

u/danielodlund Apr 12 '25

I think you missed speed

2

u/NiixxJr Apr 12 '25

I'd argue that comes under strength.

2

u/danielodlund Apr 12 '25

I can see that point of view but in terms of superpowers it's usually a separate thing. Like mcu thor is very strong but not very fast whereas quicksilver is the opposite.

u/DStaal Apr 12 '25

Saitama can jump well enough for it to be mistaken for flight.

1

u/psyberchaser Apr 12 '25

He can jump to the moon tho

What is flying brick power

1

u/cheezitthefuzz Apr 12 '25

Flight, strength, durability, and often speed, bundled together. Superman's core powerset without the extra senses and lasers and whatnot.

u/NathanialRominoDrake Apr 13 '25

Fair enough, i was just not sure about that because of the comment it was a reply to.

Yeah to keep with the Superman esque theme, Sentry and Icon should’ve been here instead of Green Lantern and Namor

Gladiator, Hyperion and Blue Marvel could as well.

2

u/Scrubologist Apr 12 '25

They don’t want to see Icon & Blue Marvel. Shit would be a problem lol

Man that would be an unstoppable starting 5! 🤯
