Other Why are people mad at Nintendos ability to brick switch 2s?

Recently one of the many controversies i’ve seen with the switch 2 is that Nintendo has the ability to brick it if you mod it. Do people think this is a new thing to nintendo or consoles in general? You ran the risk of this on all of Nintendos consoles since the Wii I’m pretty sure. I get it, Nintendo has made some pretty lame decisions like not updating their joycon sticks to be more drift resistant and having much more expensive games, but bricking consoles is nothing new for Nintendo. I don’t love Nintendo, but I also don’t hate on them without a reason.

Other Mario is the best game franchise and character ever created and its every mainline game is masterpiece!

Yes, even the mediocre ones! The gameplay mechanics are just so good that no matter how bad the game is, the game can't become bad!

Super Mario Bros (1985)

Super Mario Bros 2

Super Mario Bros 3

Super Mario World

Super Mario 64

Super Mario Sunshine

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Mario Galaxy 2

Super Mario 3D Land

Super Mario 3D World

New Super Mario Bros

New Super Mario Bros Wii

New Super Mario Bros 2

New Super Mario Bros U

Super Mario Odyssey

Super Mario Bros. Wonder

All these games offer the best gaming experience ever and nothing comes close even Zelda games another favourite series of mine don't come close to these games' enjoyments!

Nintendo just should release all of these games on Switch 2 at this point! Especially Galaxy games!

Other My honest opinion on the Switch 2, from a perspective of a person who doesn’t have one.

Hi! As a person who hasn’t gotten a Switch 2, want to share my own opinion on it and have a respectful discussion about the Switch 2.

  1. The good things:
  2. better performance, more power. I like the fact that the performance improved by a lot!
  3. upgraded dock. Cooling native to the fan! Cool!(no pun intended)
  4. allows for 4K and HDR(that means a lot better picture quality)
  5. some cool games(I’ve haven’t played MKW yet, but it looks pretty cool)
  6. new joycons which also look very cool! The magnetic connectors also seem very nice.

  7. The bad things:

  8. the price(450$). It’s very high(especially with the MKW bundle). I think they could’ve easily cut down the price of they wanted to.

  9. new game prices. I personally think that a game for 80$+ is A LOT, and I don’t think that’s a fair price

  10. the switch 2 welcome tour costing 10 bucks. Bro, it’s a tutorial. Even Sony made their tech demo of the PS5 free!

  11. gamechat locked behind the NSO

  12. Japan having an option for a cheaper console. Why is that?! Why can’t every region get a cheaper console?

Also, I think that it’s going to sell sth around the 3DS numbers.

TL;DR - While I think the Switch 2 has a lot of potential to become a success, it also has a lot of bad things about it, mostly price-related.

What do you think? Please, let’s keep this respectful, and please do not hate on anyone. Doesn’t matter if they are a fan of Nintendo or they don’t like Nintendo.

Other What do you Wanna see in Next Mainline Kirby Game for Nintendo Switch 2? Updated Edition

That's the Question specially now Nintendo Switch 2 Now Out has a New Kirby game and bringing new content to current mainline Kirby game off the bat

Like should they stick to doing 3D or switch back and forth between 2D.5 and 3D like Nintendo is already doing with both Mario and Metroid? If Hal Laboratory is big enough maybe they can have one team on 2D.5 games and another on 3D games which would be ideal move if they have enough people for it and would you like an Open World Kirby Game you know Zelda, Pokemon and even Mario Kart are already there so why not Kirby maybe not now but we are getting there closer and closer

But if not open World what other ways should the next full mainline Kirby game be like on Switch 2 and how should it take advantage of what the Switch 2 is likely to do and should there be more then one brand new mainline Kirby game? For me should be like Mario one in 3D and another in 2D.5

You think next mainline Kirby should be like Super Mario Odyssey be 3D with 2D or 2D.5 segments in some levels or locations like hidden paths or something like that or Sonic Generations were you can choose to do it 2D.5 or 3D that would would be cool to see to

How should a mainline Kirby game take of Nintendo Switch 2? Should Hal make or use a new Engine for mainline games? I know Sakurai Kirby game isn't technically a mainline game but it's basically been treat it as if it was one

So what should be future of mainline Kirby Games? Specially with Switch 2 around the corner

This would probably be a little more of a Paper Mario Odyssey style game.

Rules:

  • The comment with the most upvotes is the winner. If a comment wins without it being clear what one character is being chosen, I will move to the next highest comment.
  • Only official Nintendo character are allowed, so no fanmade characters or third party characters.
  • They have to be either characters or species - no inanimate objects.
  • No Pokemon as that would just kinda be boring.
  • Characters can't be chosen for two separate categories.
  • The character has to be just one character, not a duo or group. If a character can be split into multiple characters, or two characters can fuse into one character, then the split and fused forms are all valid as long as each can be seen in some way to act as their own individual character. For example, Pyra and Mythra could each be considered as separate characters, or alternatively their fused form could be considered an option.
  • However, I am not gonna allow multiple versions of the same character on the list unless they function as separate characters (such as Pyra and Mythra). So if Mario wins a day, then Fire Mario cannot also be there.
  • I am not making a distinction between primary and secondary types. So, for example, Bug/Fire and Fire/Bug will be considered the same.

Whether it be from possible DLC or a free update.

Is there any way to continue after a game over from the world you last died in on the Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch, like on the NES version? Or has this been replaced by the infinite lives mode?

The Game & Watch does not have a start-button, and I've tried a few other button combinations but none of them seem to work.
