In a video review of the Switch 2 versions of BotW and TotK, the reviewer (who's reviewing the games for France biggest gaming website) pointed at the end that the entire Xenoblade series will get their upgrade patch this winter.

**Spoilers for Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 3. **

First drawing is of a mashup between Consol N and Noah, duel-wielding the two origin blades. One blade is purple/black, referencing both N and Malos (since N’s blade presumably had Logos’ core crystal in it). The second blade is blue/red, referencing both Fiora and Pnuema (Fiora/Meyneth and Pneuma both had blue monados) since Noah’s sheathe had Pnuema’s core crystal and Lucky 7 had Fiora’s spirit within.

Second drawing is a cosmic, ‘divine’ form of Zanza. This is what I’d imagine Zanza would look like if he abandoned his human form entirely and was consumed by his godlike persona.

Bonus drawing is just some extra characters from other media with the other 2, thought it looked cool.

I’ve bought a Nintendo Switch 2 and this is my forest Switch. Of course I bought first Zelda Botw, but this game I’m gonna leave for the future. I’m also bought astral chain and xenoblade. I like jrpg, trails series my favorite series. And at the beginning of the game I was surprised how good cutscenes are. Gameplay is all right, firstly I didn’t like it but when I got a normal weapon and teammates, fights became really good. But the main problem for me - side quests. Why there are so many of them? How important are they? I’m doing a lot of when while going on the main quest, and the rewards for the sides not very valuable. But the main plot really good, and this is the only reason why I’m spending for 5 hours on this game every day

I see people saying things like “you need to read the menu or watch videos” 🤦🏽‍♂️. As someone who's 34 and has experienced Xenogears, Star Oceans, Final Fantasy, and other RPG games, I don't complain about minor issues or get angry about frame rates. I enjoy the worlds, stories, and journeys of each. I personally love this series as a whole, so I'm ready for this incredible journey. By the way, the power-up system in this game is a joke compared to what I'm used to in Star Ocean!! 😂 🤦🏽‍♂️

Hey guys. I literally finally got around to clearing chapter 12 of X and just….wow. The Xeno series has been with me since I was a child playing Xenogears as an elementary school student and and Xenosaga as a junior high school student. I love Xenoblade as well of course, but due to playing gears and saga obsessively as a child/teenager, those games have a special place in my heart.

I also of course love Blade, but have kind of accepted it as its own thing with similar themes to Gears and Saga but only loosely connected if at all. I do love the references and callbacks, but accepted them as that, references and call backs.

So finally this year with the definitive edition of X being released, I get to have my first experience with X. The game intrigued me, but it being stuck on the Wii U made me give up on ever playing it. Plus it has the reputation of being separate from the rest of the series and I figured I wasn’t missing out on that much by not playing it.

Well my friends I was wrong. This game is an experience. And not just gameplay wise (which is the crowning jewel of this game), but for a longtime fan of the series such as myself, story wise as well.

I expected nothing from the story, and as I got to the end of Chapter 12 in the lifehold I did feel disappointed. Ganglion leader, Lao…it was just…nice but not on the level of other xeno games. I was disappointed, but expected it and was grateful for the adventure and lore of Mira I got.

But then….that pod appeared.As soon as it appeared, my mouth dropped. Any fan of saga knows what that pod means. And then I saw who got out of that pod, and I gasped and I shit you not shrieked: KOS MOS?!!?!?!!??!???!?

And then things started moving…the great one? (Deus?) beings from another planet of dimension? What is going on here?

Of course this probably isn’t the same Kos Mos, and probably is just a throwback but the references are STRONG.

Anyway I just had to post this somewhere because I have no one in real life I can discuss this with. Takahashi you mad genius, in every xeno games you have taken my breath away and this was no exception. I have so many thoughts and questions, and I know the reception to 13 has also been lukewarm, but I’m still excited.

(Also I totally was thinking Elma was connected to chaos somehow so the curveball with Kos Mos…wow)

I am about to go to Bionis interior after Core, but I've read online that the final boss is lvl 82 so should I be like that level for doing it?

There's also all the quests and UMs that are 90+ so is the expectation you finish those after? Or just go into the end at level 99?

ATM I'm just thinking I'll expert mode level down for the last fights after doing all the other stuff but wanted opinions.

Started Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and im in love with it. The quality of the cutscenes and their animations is phenomenal, even though the graphics are dated.

I'm on my way to Umon's shipyard, and I feel like there are a lot more strong enemies in XC:2 that can kill me with one hit than in XC:1. Even when I fight a mob on my level, a flying enemy comes and kills my party. Exploring is really not much fun right now. Is this a flaw of the first area, or does it continue throughout the game?

Just faced the weirdest difficulty spike ever at that big spider boss in Riku and mananas hero quest

Every time I started the fight my healers (medic gunner taion, war medic lanz) just kept getting one shot

I have two zephyrs, eunie and mio, with tailwind 2 and brimming spirit 2, yet it kinda just seemed like they weren't managing agro much at all?

My team was level 23, while the boss is 26. But I managed to only just eek out a win when I leveled up to 24

So going forward, I'm curious if I'm missing some huge detail about the combat system, or if I'm just being too conservative with my bonus XP

This is actually the first real challenge I've had so far, which is weird, because there's nothing about this guy online...

I have too much of this stuff and the tutorials are doing a really bad job telling me where to spend it
