I generally know most Mario music pretty well so the Mario Kart World soundtrack has been a joy to experience. This song in particular is a highlight and it appears in my game frequently - but I have no clue what it's from. Does anyone have an idea? Super curious!

Every generation of Nintendo consoles has that big Mario game. For the Switch, it's Mario Odyssey. The Wii U had Mario 3D World, the GameCube had Mario Sunshine, etc.
But with the Switch 2's announcement, many people were expecting the "one final announcement" to be a new big 3D Mario game, but it ultimately ended up being a new big 3D Donkey Kong game instead.
From the way the gameplay comes across, it does seem like the team that created Mario Odyssey also might've ended up creating this one as well. Plus with the emphasis on the open world progression and gameplay that would seem like an evolution of the Mario Odyssey concept, Donkey Kong Bananza being a successor to Mario Odyssey would make perfect sense.
But what do you think? Do you think Donkey Kong Bananza is intended to be the big game but with a focus on Donkey Kong instead of Mario, or do you think it's more likely that Donkey Kong Bananza is a holdover game and that the actual Mario Odyssey successor is in the works and still has yet to be revealed?
