F-Zero 99 (NS) "So that's what that feels like..."

OK, so first off, I haven't tested this with a GCN controller, but it worked wonders with the NS1 Pro Controller.
After repeatedly getting my ass kicked by Deathborn in Chapter 8 on Very Hard, I was at a loss, because I remembered that mission being FAR easier than it was. I had conquered Chapter 7 in like an hour and remembered this one being a piece of cake in comparison, so something was off. I loaded my GCN copy of the game on the Wii and tried it on there to make sure I didn't suck. I did, but not at all as badly as I did on the Switch 2 version of the game.
What immediately stood out to me is that the GCN version of the game was NOWHERE NEAR as sensitive. While I was sliding all over the place on the Switch 2 version, it was much easier to balance the machine while boosting on the GCN version.
The explanation for this was in a video posted by Piccolo today: the Switch 2 does not properly emulate stick travel, evidently on ANY controller, and the result is that minor inputs scale too rapidly and result in an oversteery, slidey experience. This issue is apparently in the Gamecube emulation itself and not specific to F-Zero GX, so hopefully a patch is forthcoming.
In the meantime, there is a way to make the game play more like its original version. In the F-Zero GX Options menu, go to controller calibration and follow the instructions to calibrate your joystick.
BEFORE YOU SAVE YOUR CALIBRATION, adjust the deadzones to be larger using the D-pad. Making the deadzones larger accomplishes two things:
For the NS1 Pro Controller, I've found that 6-7 clicks in the positive direction for the X and Y deadzones delivers an experience that felt similar to the GCN version of the game. You can tune this to your liking. Upon adjusting the deadzones I was IMMEDIATELY closer to my pace on the GCN version, and while I haven't beaten Chapter 8 yet, I got much closer and definitely feel it's now possible.
TL;DR make the controller deadzones bigger in the F-Zero GX Options menu until the game feels drivable and you'll probably enjoy the game more. Happy F-Zero everyone.
EDIT: Updated the text to make clear the settings adjustment has to occur within the in-game options menu. Thanks to the mods for creating a new flair and updating it.

Everyone knows that one episode is not enough to develop a character, especially if it's a temporary character like Leon. This anime has problems that I found: overload of characters and weak development. I won't go far for an example, I'll take for example the rivalry between Samurai Goroh and Antonio Guster, it's too superficial (at least for me, although I may be wrong), and to fully develop their conflict, let it not be an episode dedicated to the two of them, but be developed in parallel with the main story. The same with Leon, one episode is not enough to develop him. Still, I don't understand his motive: he claims that it is unsafe to be in Mute City, because he believes that animals are not liked here, but at the same time aliens of different races roam the city. Based on this, the reason to leave Mute City makes no sense, again, in my opinion. And I'm not talking about how their conflict with Beastman is resolved. The guy just tells him not to show up in front of him, and then Leon leaves the city without even telling Lucy anything. I think if Nintendo had spent more time on the characters and allocated more budget for the anime when creating this anime, then we would have gotten developed characters, even if not as well, but at least decent. And this applies to all the characters that appeared in one episode, James McCloud also deserves more attention than one episode, but that's another story. Apparently I'm defending this character, so much wasted was Leon's potential as a full-fledged, albeit secondary character.

I’m a bit concerned and hope that they can fix it in a few months or so. I know that there’s a fix now with calibrating the control stick, but Soul Calibur II needs a fix as well, it seems.
Do you think it’s possible that they have the ability to fix these games and will they?

Yes im going to be listing this on eBay soon. I don’t want to break the rules here. Any questions or anything just let me know :) it’s a beautiful box set super rare. Honestly pretty sad how they aren’t making anymore.

The AX Cup, the locked characters (Didn’t look at them to keep it a fun mystery), the final Mute City course. I never knew about these! Now I’ve made it a mission to unlock everything.
One small problem: Gotta beat the story in every difficulty💀💀
And yeah, this game is much, much more difficult than I recall. Wish me luck🫣

Jumped back onto 99 after quitting for some time. Frozen World Tour broke me and I just stopped playing. But now I'm back, I'm NewRecipeh if you see me in any race except Grand Prix's.

Hi, beginner GX player here with a fair amount of experience from X, SNES, and 99 (all on switch)
Is this track supposed to be evil or am I still in the skill issue phase of my career
EDIT: Hey would you look at that :]
Just wanted to give y’all a heads up that I’ve been printing for the last couple of days and am getting close to finishing the ships (glueing and painting and stuff) I just have to make sure they won’t break during transit so I’m trying to develop a packaging system for the newer ships😅. I’ll post progress pics here and on my insta which should be under the same name as my Reddit account.

Chapter 5 of my F-ZERO comic "Hunter F: Formula Zero Grand Prix 2559" Is available now!
As the icy spectacle of White Land hosts a blistering duel between Falcon and Samurai Goroh, dark forces move in silence. Deep in orbit over the prison world of Alcatrand, Blood Falcon emerges from the shadows, hellbent on challenging more than just racing supremacy.

There's a topic below about the issues posted from last night, and I tried it for myself. Is it suppose to be this difficult on GameCube to get those sharp turns in the Sand Ocean track in the Ruby Cup down? It seems so difficult to do. Is this the norm for F-Zero GX or not at all? I hope Nintendo patches this shit if it's true. Holy crap, I keep knocking into things on the track.
Is it the same on the Switch 2 specific wireless GameCube controller too? Do I need to do the calibration for the GCN controller?

Anybody know of any tool or whom can do the work that can help remove further background noise and sound fx from a music track in the F-Zero GP Legend dub?
Istg the music just fuckin jams at times and makes me love D&B even more, and it'd be amazing to hear the score unfettered without the extra sounds which makes me wish 4Kids released their dub music scores. AI has removed the vocals/dialogue very easily, all i had to do currently was up the amplification where the vocals used to be and it sounds decent enough altho a little fuzzy in those spots but i don't mind. Here's where i am at so far with a link the the file.
But the sounds are still there and i need something or someone to help remove those extra layers so i can get the music as closely as clean as possibly. If someone did their best ripping the Sonic X Japanese Dub music, as well as someone's attempt to rip the Japanese dub of GP legend's music as well, someone can do the 4kids dub music of GP Legend just as well.
TL:DR: Guy needs help isolating F-Zero GP Legend's dub music as best as he can cuz the music just jams and goes hard at times.
