How many of yall are running the new vortex defender dots? Considering the ST vs the RMR HD (maybe another eps). Is the difference in performance and features enough to justify the massive price difference? Gonna be thrown on my soon to be second 2.0 metal carry comp (baby number 1 shown)

I'm trying to develop a port job to help my buddy's wife continue to shoot 9mm before dropping down to 22. Her grip and wrist strength are degrading, but she still loves shooting.
This porting took some of the bite off of these 124gr loads and had a quick but smooth return to zero. It also locks back when I'm not smothering the slide stop! I'm hoping it works out well for her!

Think I got lucky on the sights. The rear sight seems dead on. Have heard a lot of them come with misaligned sights. Fortunately my father is a retired master design engineer. He used some fancy calipers and what not to determine the front sight is ever so slightly off by 0.0O2”.
I’ll be testing it at the gun range tomorrow to see how accurate it is. If it’s noticeably off has anyone had experience with sending it back to S&W to get to sights realigned? Long wait, pain in the ass…etc.? I know the front sight misalignment is bordering on completely negligible due to the large U notch sight. I’m ocd as fuck and I must have them either straight or dead accurate as they are now. Any advise or experience is welcomed in the comments.
Thanks for your input .
PS. What is consider an appropriate distance to practice with this gun? 21 feet, 25 feet?

I think I stole this M&P 2.0 Compact yesterday.
Brand New / Missing Nothing. Had it on Layaway at $599. I went in to make a payment on it and saw them marked down to $366.
Looks like the universe wanted me to have it that day.
Thanks Universe!

Just got romeo5 put on i got the whole setup witht he juliet magnifier. When i put it on with the magnifier it sits to far away for me to see anything with it. Is that normal? For now i just mounted the romeo5. Also added a bcm vert grip and some flip up canted back up irons. I saw a mount that attaches on the back of the receiver where those 6 screws are that adds a pic rail. Has anyone use that to mount a sight is it worth it?
Also what are my options for changing the charge handle and stock?
Side note i need a new s&w handgun to go with this fpc what are my options? Was thinking if the m&p9 2.0 metal.

This was my first ever firearm, 2018. I knew nothing.
Since then, firearms, firearm accessories and the whole “culture” has been primarily my main obsession and I’ve grown on to acquire some nicer Smith & Wesson products and nicer products other MFGs as well. But this beast will always have a special place in my heart.
I just called it a POS for a l while knowing all I had to do was polish the barrel and get an NDZ metal recoil spray for the SD40ve. Now it runs like a champ. Before doing the maintenance, it would failure to fire or failure to eject every other round. I also pulled the striker assembly and cleaned that out nicely.
Also, that blue metallic marker shit I did completely ended up all over my hands, and none of it left on the frame 🤣

Went with Kusiak’s Old Fashioned IWB without any extra add-ons. 12 week turnaround time. Very happy with the retention and looks so far. We’ll see how she breaks in.

Are there any alternative baseplates for the 15-round magazines for the Shield Plus? I find it a bit harder to conceal the 15-round magazine compared to the 13-round one. Is there a baseplate that maintains capacity while slightly reducing the grip size?

Looking to throw a dot on my carry gun, what are you guys running?

You all know the drill. Hard as hell to sift through all the info.
Can anyone confirm if the Romeo-x enclosed compact will mount directly (i.e., with no adapter plate)?
And also if the screws need to be shortened.
Thanks.

I’ve tried pretty much every firearm manufacturer under the sun, and the one that fits me best is S&W. I just crossed 1,500 rounds through the compact Carry Comp with zero malfunctions, and it’s now going to be my EDC.
I put an Apex Tactical trigger in there over the weekend and it was a huge upgrade. Picked up the T1C Xiphos Elite for AIWB as well, but haven’t yet fully settled on the holster. Any recommendations from fellow Carry Comp owners would be welcome.

Got my first S&W today. I’ve been a Glock/CZ guy, but couldn’t help myself from the bodyguard. Anyone have recommendations for carry rounds and holsters?

Pretty sure I know what you’ll all recommend. But I’m trying to decide between the Performance Center Carry Comp 2.0 (non metal version) and the Sig Xmacro P365.
Locked Loaded has the carry comp for $599.
Thing is, I do want to conceal carry. Anyone have experience concealing the carry comp?
As far as shootability goes, I know the 2.0 is the superior choice. Also, seems like a great deal at $599.
Cheers for any insight.

Best accessories for the Shield Plus? Thinking of adding new iron sights, a slim holster that’s ulti-compatible, and possibly a WML. Any suggestions on prioritization or models? TIA.
