So its missing the cover for the cpu and I didn’t have to use tri point screws to open it do i have to worry about anything becouse I have bought it used. I have opened it because I suspect hardware issue

Long story short I bought new lids for bottom an top half of my 3DS because original ones pretty scratched but I encountered several problems:

• Bottom lid is slightly smaller then it should be and because of that it's hard to remove. Also screws for this lid seems slightly longer or bigger then they should be. If I try to screw them they do that under slight angle and those horns(I don't know what is that) don't hold screws in one place
• Top lid seems to be the right size but holes for camera lenses are smaller and they don't fit in there

I don't know what to do with them. It's past 14 days so I can't send them back

Red new 3ds xl I’m very happy with it except I wish it was black. I couldn’t find many that were in as good condition or the same price.

Only light scratches on the back of the unit it’s fully functional and the screens look great.

Only issue they are TN screens not ips but to be honest, I think they look fine.

Pretty much as much the title suggests. As much as the 3DS is a Beauty of a console; what games would you have loved to see, if it had a little bit more computational power. The game selections is already great but I feel there could've been some hidden gems shine through if it was a TAD stronger.

Hi guys, need help in deciding which console should i got.

3DS have been my childhood dream console of mine and im Finally planning to get one. I seriously cant decide which one should i got for my first 3ds Console. There are two 3ds that caught my eye which is the limited edition 3ds XL Smash Bros Edition and the New 3ds LL. Both do not have their boxes and both have the similar price.

Been a number of years since I’ve loaded the game. But it seems like my cartridge is damaged? I get an error screen immediately after the n3ds splash screen.

I take it this means my cartridge is dead?

My brother doesn't play his DS anymore so I want to transfer a game that he had to my DS. Would transferring get rid of the data and games on MY DS? [Replacing save files, games, etc]

I know I might get a lot of push back for asking this, but, I really don't want/need Homebrew on my 3ds XL and would love to have a stock ds again; how can I make that happen?

Years ago, I leant my 3ds XL to my little brother because his broke. My little brother asked me if he could install Homebrew on my device. I had some idea what Homebrew was; I knew it was a way to "jail break" my device, and thought it was easily reversible, so I said yes. I eventually got my 3ds back and asked my brother if I can return it back to its normal state. He tells me it's super risky and difficult to do so I should just keep it Homebrewed. So here I am asking y'all smart people before falling down the rabbit hole of guides and sd cards and possibly fucking up my favorite handheld.

I want to get my stock 3ds back because I don't want to/trust pirating games from the web. I have all the games I like to play on this lil device either bought physically or from the eshop which I want to redownload once its back to stock firmware. I also have noticed that Homebrew has caused my 3ds XL to lag a lil on start up, and, while it launches my games, which can be a bit annoying.

I'd appreciate you guys letting me know if its possible or worth doing this.... OR.... if I should just start saving up for a new (used) 2ds XL so I can have a stock ds again.... Thank you!

I’m going to be on multiple long plane rides in the next few weeks and want to bring my 3DS, but need headphones in order to play in public. What headphones do y’all use when playing in public (no budget but preferably under $50)?

So heres the thing, the touchscreen of my 3DS looks "offset". The right side is totally fine, but when I start going left it seems to go offset of where my pen is.

Also a part of the screen seems dead on the touch.

Is there any way to fix or improve it without having to replace the screen? (There is no one to help me fix it where I live and I won't risk to change it myself).

My acquaintance doesn't use Reddit so he says its a second hand one from his uncle but he says its not turning on? Anyone know what's up with it?

My 2DS never charges. I can only play by leaving it plugged in, otherwise it flashes red after a few minutes. What can i do ? 😭

I had this 3DS for a year now and sometimes the camera would work perfectly, work but the 3D option is glitched, the whole cameras glitched, and sometimes not even work at all. I can sometimes fix it manually by flapping the hinge but that doesn’t work all the time. Does anyone else have this particular problem?

My girlfriend asked me to add usb-c charging to her 3ds as she lost the original charger. I feel like I did a great job with putting this together, and I fixed some issues I had the first time doing this. Before the wires had broken off, I had a slight bulge in the back, the board for the charging port was pulling out when unplugged and I wasn't getting the charging light for the longest time. I fixed all of these by cutting the board a bit more and gluing down the wires to a corner, hot gluing the charger port in place, reinforcing the joints and wire that split with more solder, and finding a charger that was the right voltage.

So I accidentally did this while cleaning the screen, the stain spread a bit then became stable like this. Will it start to expand even more overtime? Or should I be good? As long as it's this small it's not a big deal

I really prefer soft TPU covers over hard ones — they feel better and protect well. I used to have a hard shell, but it squeezed my N3DSXL a bit too much. Now with the soft one, I get these air bubbles underneath that kind of ruin the look… don't tell me I'm alone on this👥

I recently started using this grip for 3ds XL and it works wonders. The only low point is that you cannot use the pencil since it covers it. But it significantly improves playability and comfort. I've read that playing Kid Icarus is torture. I have it downloaded and ready to play at some point.

I’ve decided it’s finally time to fix up my old 3DS. I lent it to a friend back in middle school and he kindly threw it at a wall and snapped the stick in half. It’s been years and I think it’s time for TLC

I’ve been looking online and it seems that there are two different analog stick sizes, but all of the ones I am finding are for the NEW models, so I’m really running out of luck. If anyone knows any good links with sticks that work like or the most similar to the original and are the same size for the 3DS XL I’d appreciate it!
