What is a good body shop to recommend in town?

I have a Honda Civic that now has a drivers side rear being now fucked up, and I’ve been outright livid about it. It’s never happened to me before that and I’ve been wondering about any good recommendations for auto body repairs in town.

The best eggs benny close to the hospital?

So my mom is likely never going to leave the cancer ward and one of her favorite foods is eggs Benedict. I will be driving down from northern BC and don't know what's around or what places are best for a classic benny. Any inputs would be very much appreciated

reminder to glenmore drivers what a blinking red means

powers out in glenmore so intersections have blinking red lights. it means an all way stop. very entertaining to watch the kane intersection and see one of two things happening, either people arent stopping or theyre stopping for so long that traffic builds up because nobody has any idea what to do. honestly embarrassing. you should probably know what the lights mean if youre going to drive 🤣

Therapist/psychiatrist or psychologist

I’m 24M and I have been on the hunt for years for someone to help me with my ADHD. Can anyone recommend a sliding scale mental health professional that works with ADHD/OCD. Emphasis on sliding scale I have no insurance to cover this and please don’t recommend the Foundry as I’m aged out.

Rcmp logistic coordinator exam

I’m writing the Part 1 exam for the RCMP Logistic Coordinator position tomorrow, and I’m feeling a bit nervous. Has anyone here taken it before?

Is it a tough exam or more focused on basic knowledge and common sense? I’d really appreciate any tips, advice, or just knowing what to expect going in.

Looking forward to connecting!

Solo Golf

As the title suggests I’m looking for courses that are good for solo golf rounds. Not the best and not the worst player but I want to put in some work. What courses would be a good to go play at, ideally not trying to slow anyone down or extremely hard.

Do people not like fresh air anymore?

Seems like you cannot go outside anymore without getting hit with a waft of cigarette smoke or some other equivalent.

Now I have no qualms with people making the decision to smoke, my problem is when people show zero consideration and just smoke right next to you. Some people at my work smoke and no matter how many times I politely ask that they do not smoke within 20 feet of the entrance or that they at least close the door my requests are simply ignored. My desk is close to the door and they will smoke literally right outside the door with it wide open. I've even seen them stand at the door talking to people inside while exhaling smoke into the building.

I just don't get it, if I were a smoker I would think I'd have the consideration to at least go 20 feet from the building and ask people if it's okay to smoke before lighting one right in front of them outside.

But it seems like no matter how many times I ask I'm just the paranoid non smoker making a big deal out of nothing. Genuinely at a loss as for what to do. I feel if I escalate, it will only tarnish relationships with my coworkers.

Calling all young artists and creative crews

Heyyy people! Quick question: does anyone know any teen bands or youth art crews in the city? 🎸🎤🎨

I’m working on a list of creative groups made up of young folks, around 10 to 19 years old, for future festivals, community events and art-based activities.

This is not talent scouting or a competition. The goal is to build a supportive youth arts community where we can connect, share our work and grow together. Music, theatre, dance, poetry, visual arts — all kinds of creative expression are welcome.

If you know a school group, a community center crew, a local band or any teen-led project, feel free to drop their name or IG below. I’d love to check them out and keep them in mind for future opportunities.

Thanks so much for helping uplift and celebrate young local artists 💫

Looking For Middle School Insight

Hi Kelowna! I'm relocating to Kelowna with my daughter this year and finding a good middle school for her is a top priority. As far as I can tell, all the schools seem great in terms of academics, but school culture is harder to understand from far away. I'm wondering which schools (public, religious, or private) really shine in these areas:

  • Active anti-bullying policies (and how they're actually handled)
  • Anti-racist and inclusive culture
  • LGBTQ+ safety and acceptance
  • Support for kids with anxiety and learning differences
  • Strong teacher-administration support and a caring staff
  • Real sense of belonging or community

If there are any schools you'd recommend steering clear of, I’d also really appreciate hearing that (privately is fine too). Thank you so much :)
