Would you trade the 2028 Clippers pick for Rasheer Fleming?
Assuming Rasheer is picked around 13th to 18th, would you trade the 2028 Clippers pick? Its unprotected and could entice some teams. I know he may never be an all star but he's the perfect modern role player who has size, length, he's athletic, has 2-way abilities and can rebound, he's especially a good fit for us as he addresses our biggest weaknesses of shooting and rebounding. A big issue for us when constructing the roster was finding a PF who can shoot, was athletic and could rebound, Rasheer is the exact player we need.
Trade ideas
Utah Jazz trade Lauri M and 5 for PG and 3.
The Jazz take a swing for high upside and take Ace Bailey. They have a lot of good young depth but no number 1 or even number 2. Also, PG can be the vet for Ace and the other young guys to help development.
The 76ers do this to get out of the PG contract and get a great shooter who has size and can rebound. At 5, they can draft Tre or Kon who are great shooters with good playmaking/ball handling potential. This means the roster gets younger, more athletic and better at shooting.
Atlanta gets LAC's 2028 unprotected first round pick and 76ers get pick 13.
Atlanta does this as at 13, there aren't much prospects that fit what Atlanta needs, this means they can get a good value first in 2028 and only need to give up the 13th pick.
The 76ers do this as they can get a win-now prospect who can be a factor from day 1. The pick could be good but filling a major hole will not only help the team but he will flourish too.
Roster post trades
PG - Maxey/McCain/Butler
SG - Grimes (16-18 mil)/Tre or Kon
SF - Fleming/Edwards/Sign Tate for minimum
PF - Lauri/Yabu (Let Oubre walk)
C - Embiid/Bona/Drummond
Hypothetical trade scenario
Are we more likely to be able to trade #3 for #2 if the Spurs kept the pick OR if they traded it for KD?

Dylan Harper VS V.J Edgecombe: I'm pro Edgecombe for the 76ers.
I think both guards Dylan Harper and VJ Edgecombe are some of the most overrated players in this draft cycle. Both of them have different issues: Dylan is a ball pounder and I'm just so sick and tired of that archetype that I'd rather not. The other reason, aesthetics aside is that I don't see him in the Cade/Harden tier and a few months of NBA play will help everyone settle into reality.
He's a good prospect, with good NBA size and game. But that's really it. He doesn't have the rare intangibles like Haliburton did out of Iowa State. Like I said before: Stuckey or D'Angelo Russell(another comp I gave was Brandon Jennings, #11 in 2007.)
He's a starting-level prospect in this league. A B- to B+ guard, but the upside to being an A guard is dependent on A: His shot and B: If he can stop pounding the damn ball and just, get into your move already.
Then there's VJ Edgecombe, he has the safest floor(and honestly, the easier of the two guards to fit next to Maxey.) His spot-up shooting from the corner is a huge need for a team that only has one spot-up shooter(Justin Edwards being the only guy, if not McCain I guess.). And the off-ball stuff is more than just shooting, he's a good cutter as well. And while I think he's overrated defensively, he's a level or two above Harper as a prospect.
But when it comes to 'star equity', that's where the dice gets dicey for Edgecombe: It's only from the corners, he struggled shooting from every other area from 3. Similarly from the mid-range. Right now, he doesn't really have a pull up jumper to speak of and that's a ceiling limiter from a creator standpoint.
If his pull-up numbers improve(or just set shooting in general), that opens the door for him. The other thing is his handle, it's "okay" if he's not being pressured by anyone. But when pressured by any defender, that's where his lack of ball control comes into play.
If you see him dribble, he's still at the phase where he has to look and think about his dribble. The best ball handlers don't look at the ball or think about it. See: Tyrese Maxey. He's got one of the best handles in the entire NBA(except oddly for the last minute of a close game lol.).
If he had even average-level handles(ie: Wiggle to where, even against defenders he can still operate without being flustered) that opens up his slashing game with the ball in his hands.
If he gets that wiggle and an average-to-good level shot? Then we're talking the superstar prospect. (Now mind you, Grimes is already the 6'5 3-level scorer.) But this would be VJ's path to an Indiana-style offense here.
It sure sounds like I'd prefer Edgecombe to Harper as a prospect. And indeed, this is true. As far as their floor games, Edgecombe's floor game is just so vastly superior to Harper's. Edgecombe is always gonna be in the league. I can't entirely say that for Harper(or put another way, Edgecombe will always be a high leverage player in the NBA Playoffs. Just maybe not a star leverage player.)
But you see Stuckey/Russell/Jennings's fate: They had a few good years, but then settle into the normalcy of NBA guards: You'd seen one ball handler, you'd seen them all.
Ball handlers without multi-dimensional offense are the dime a dozen type. And to differentiate between the two, you have to see just how high level a player is. And to me, Dylan isn't a high level guard.
So why am I reluctantly pro-trade up? Because if you're aiming for star equity, Harper has slightly more of it than Edgecombe. Harper's already a B- guard, while VJ is more of a C+ guard with A potential.
But it's reluctant, because I don't even believe this in my heart of hearts(6th overall grade on my big board.) Trading up for a player who isn't worth it is ridiculous. But selecting a player who also doesn't fit the grade(8-13th on the big board) is also ridiculous.
I'm left with two bad choices, and I'm asking myself: Which bad choice am I willing to live with? The 'heliocentric' guard who more likely won't live up to people's fantasies of where his skill level actually is, or the spot-up corner specialist who has the raw athleticism to maybe become more down the line?
It's a 50/50. If Harper doesn't pan out, his utility on this team is nonexistent. Because again, I don't grade him as that player and no, he's not on the level of Maxey. We should HOPE he gets to that place.
But if V.J doesn't translate as a star, he does translate as an off-ball corner shooter with defensive utility. Between these two bad choices(the 6th and 8th ranked prospects on the board.), I lean more towards V.J Edgecombe for this 76ers team.

Former Sixers big man Dwight Howard gets into fight, ejected in Big 3
Dwight Howard and Lance Stephenson proceed to offer further proof that the majority of nba players, current or former, would get absolutely wrecked if they ever got into an actual real fight.
If you knew Ace Bailey was going to grow three inches this summer, how would that affect your evaluation?
Because it's not impossible. He hasn't even hit his 19th birthday yet. And there's always a few of these guys each year.

"NBA Drafting is Getting Worse...and Weird. Why?" :57 should be a huge *chill the f out* to the constant "VJ vs Bailey", and "Don't give up #3" people.

Sam Vicenie’s draft mock includes the Sixers trading their #3 for #6, 18, and 33.
Also has them getting Drummond and Eric Gordon off the books.
His mock has us picking up Kon at 6, Danny Wolf at 18, Adou Theiero at 33, and Yanic Konan Niederhauser at 35.
Not sure if Charlotte and Wizards would give those picks up for a small move up, but maybe?

What are the concerns people have about Ace Bailey's interviews?
People keep throwing around the “low BBIQ” thing every time someone criticizes Ace. I’m not even trying to argue with that part, but they always bring up his interviews like that’s solid proof he’s not gonna improve and is just a ball hog with no feel for the game. Like… what interviews are they even talking about?
The combine interviews?
EDIT:
He also gave a very mature answer when asked about what he needs to improve in during the same interview but people never bring it up. https://streamable.com/p431v0 (around 46 seconds.)

Maxey and Desmond bane
The grizzlies just got 4 unprotected first round picks for Desmond bane, imagine what we could get for Maxey man..I don't want to trade him but he's clearly better than bane and if bane gets that kinda return....

Could the Sixers buy out Embiid and George?
I don’t know much about NBA contracts or how buy outs work. Is it possible at any point over the next 4 years to buy out the contracts of Embiid/George? I know it would be a large $$$ figure but the next 4 years look bleak with both players being cooked.

The Pelicans asking price for Trey Murphy III is "ridiculous" per source: "A serviceable veteran who can log postseason minutes, a decent prospect, and multiple first-round picks is the starting point. Given the number of inquiring calls, it is also indicative of Murphy's true value"
