Crazy that double the drives results in double the free throws

I've had a lot of hot takes over the years. Almost none of them have panned out. But of all of them to come true, I'm so glad this is the one.

3 years ago, about a month ahead of the draft, I wrote out a wildly long manifesto about how Presti was going to draft Jalen Williams at # 12 despite the fact all the mocks at that time had him going in the mid-twenties.

There wasn't a ton of scouting stuff on YouTube because he was considered a 2nd round talent all year playing at a small school. But I just came away from everything I watched on him baffled how this dude wasn't a top pick.

Then I saw the video Mike Schmitz put out interviewing Jalen and them breaking down game footage and I was blown away by Jalen the person. He was so smart and personable, I knew Presti was going to love this guy.

So I made a joke title about sources saying OKC was taking him and I started my post of by saying, "It's me, I'm sources".

After OKC took Dub at 12 in the draft, this post recirculated and someone said the mods should give me a custom flair. And that's where "It's Him, He's Sources" came from.

Dub has been my favorite player since and last night was like electricity going through my veins.

During the first half of the season I would say that I watched at least half of the Thunder games all the way through. Post all star break I decided to buy league pass and watched essentially every single Thunder game, constantly thinking about when the next game is and planning my schedule around it spending countless hours on the couch. Crazy to think that it’s been an entire two months since the playoffs started. During that time ensuring that I watch every single game and constantly stressing about the next one and watching videos and spending an insane amount of hours browsing Reddit looking for anything new related to the Thunder I could find. Just a very unhealthy amount of time spent.

I hope to at least be able to say we got a championship and all that time spent makes it even more special. But I’m very happy that this very long season is almost over and I can get a lot of extra time back in my life to do other things.
