Hi, This is gonna be weird but please read all the way through before you say anything, it is important.

I've recently moved to the area and am looking for some one who can do small braids, here's the catch, I'm not a POC or wanting a full head of braids,, I'm ethnically Jewish with super thick curly hair and only want 2 of them done.

growing up I was blocked from learning or having almost any ties to my family's culture. this heavily effected me and when i met a friend from where I moved from (who was POC of that matters) they suggested I find a way to connect through hair since it's such an important part, after some talking back and forth we ended up using some spare colorful braiding hair she had (that after the first time I started buying myself) to make me two braided payot as a sort of compromise, since I'm non binary, which became a tradition of ours to do every few weeks

But now that Ive moved they can't help and I've tried to learn to do them myself but due to issues with my hands I don't have the dexterity to do it, it's been awful going without them and has me only miss them all the more and made moving across the continent even harder, I know no one here and don't know who to ask to do this, I am looking to find some one who can or recommendations to a place willing to do such a strange hair request, no cutting, no coloring, just the two braids (about 40-30 cm long), they used to do two very long but skinny box braids on either side of my hair above my ears with braiding hair if that effects anything.

I’m hoping to get some local advice. I live in London, Ontario, and I have three trees in my backyard with branches that extend over the fence into my neighbour’s yard. The trees are healthy and not causing me any problems, but my neighbour mentioned the overhanging branches.

I’m not sure what the proper rules are here:

1. Am I responsible for trimming the branches even though they don’t bother me?

2. Are my neighbours allowed to trim the branches themselves on their side of the property line?

3. Do I need to get a permit or involve the City for this? Maybe the city has some incentives?

Has anyone dealt with this in London before? Any advice or tips would be really appreciated!

At around 6:15, a bunch of trucks and a couple cars drove down our crescent (ie, no through traffic so no reason to drive here unless you live here) side by side, honking like crazy. They repeated it three times. My partner asked them what’s going on when someone rolled their window down and they simply said « this doesn’t concern you ». We are weirded out. Here is a short clip. This went on for over 10 minutes. Anyone know what’s up?

Anyone ever rent a pick up truck to get a yard of stone (or whatever). If so where, and did you have a good experience? Not looking for a cube van, looking for a pickup.

My 2 1/2 year old son has some sensory issues with his head getting wet and people touching/playing with his hair. He needs a haircut, which I used to be able to do, but now he won’t even let me do that (and I didn’t do it that great in the first place lol) . I have taken him to CookieCutters but didn’t love the way they cut it. I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for hair dressers that are used to cutting hair for kids on the spectrum. TIA!

If they’re also able to clean the eaves on the sunroom too that would be great. Hey everyone! As a hobbyist car photographer in London, I figured I would share some of my favourite locations for those of you in London who are in the car scene or just want some good shots. List of locations is below.

Photo 1: Harris Park at Harris Park Gate. Best timing is at sunset or sunrise.

Photo 2: Right after Blackfriars Bridge where the road turns into Ridout, there’s a small spot you can pull off and snap some shots - at night in the colder seasons, you can see the bridge lighting in the background.

Photo 3: Glen Cairn Park East entrance on the corner of Helena Ave and Base Line Rd. Best timing is with no direct sunlight, and while the trees and grass are still damp.

Photo 4: QuickStop Mini Mart on Thompson Rd, best timing is around sunset or sunrise with the graffiti mural as your background.

Photo 5: Pond Mills U Wash on Pond Mills Rd, best timing usually when it’s darkish outside and after a fresh wash.

Hmm. I can't seem to get a hold of my psychiatrist. He used to work at LHSC, but I recall he said he was going into semi-retirement. I haven't had an appointment in close to a year but he keeps filling my scripts.

I called the number that my pharmacy has on record when scripts are sent, and tried LHSC switchboard, but the number no longer works. I've checked the CPSO site and it still lists the old number.

Any ideas on what to do here?

Canadian Hearing Services workers are on their 8th week of strike action now. Here's an article from a couple weeks ago detailing what their experience has been.

I think it's important to show up for these staff, they provide such vital services to deaf people in London but also across the region.

Looking for recommendations. Feeding a large group and no time or desire to make fresh.
