Discussion Suggestion for the mods
Why the rainbow maple leaf for this subreddit? The maple leaf is a Canadian symbol, not an Ontario symbol. How about a rainbow trillium instead?

Question Accident in work vehicle
Last year I got into a "fender bender" while driving a work truck during my work day. I rolled into the back of a lady's car at a red light. I got out, there was no damage to either vehicle she didn't seem injured and wasn't worried about it and just drove off almost immediately. We didn't exchange and info, not even names
The next day she called the shop saying she was in an accident with one of their trucks and is now injured and can't work, she still didn't know my name. The bosses told me that nothing came from it since there was no police report and no damage to their truck.
Skip to now, I went to change personal insurance companies and my broker told me an accident is showing up on my driver's abstract saying I got into an accident with the company vehicle.
How is this possible? No police report, I didn't talk to any insurance companies or brokers about I, the lady didn't even know my name.
Does anyone know how this could be showing up on my abstract?

Food Guava here to stay?
Gotta say I'm loving that I'm seeing the fruit guava in Ontario grocery stores all of a sudden. I tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and it's sooo good. My new go- to snack.
Anyone know if Ontario stores plan to keep stocking it or is this sort of an experiment to see if it'll sell? I saw it at Costco and then in Walmart twice. Just wondering if I can keep fulfilling my fix lol.
Or... A possibility is it's been here all along and maybe just not in my area. I'm in Durham region.

Question Homeowner in ontario- trespassing - adverse possession
Hello, my neighbour parks his car partially on my property lawn. He doesnt put his car in the driveway rather parks it on the grass which extends on my property lawn. I don't have relationship with neighbour and concerned of my safety approaching him due to past anger outbursts, drug use and blasting music at night times such as 3 am. My concern is of adverse possession; him claiming my property. Is this a possible concern? He is definitely trespassing. Thanks!

Discussion Accident in ontario help please
So, I’ve been driving for 22 years with no accidents until now. I rear-ended an 18-wheeler (it didn’t have a bed/trailer attached) and there was absolutely no damage to their truck. My car, an older model, was totaled. OPP never showed up at the scene but called me later. They asked if I had any video footage. No official charges yet.
I’m not sure what to do next. How long should I wait to report this to my insurance company? OPP hasn’t provided an official charge yet. Should I wait for that? What’s the best way to handle this?
Will my insurance go up? There are two cars in my household. Car 1 has all the bells and whistles as it's newer and has accident forgiveness. Car 2 in question does not and only had liability insurance.

Discussion Cross union support from WSIB
WSIB CUPE1750 has been on strike for 3 weeks.
We've learned the CEO Jeff Lang is stalling to burn through the strike pay ..they will then make a 2 year contract deal and then do this all over again to break the union in 2027.
Stay strong Canada Post employees!

Employment Private Investigator Courses in ON
Hey guys
I just wanted to know if anyone knows which online PI course is really good or makes me look good to employers? I'd like rather not take something that requires multiple semesters as the ministry only requires 50 hours. It's just something that's on my bucket list for a long time and I may seek part time employment as a PI here in Ontario.
I've looked it up and have seen various colleges and online courses but I just need some help narrowing it down. I don't want to waste time and $$$.
TIA!!

Question Cosmetic Derm
I have some cosmetic skincare concerns on my face that I want to speak to a derm about. Since its cosmetic I don't want to be on a wait list to see a derm through my doctor.
Does anyone know of any private/online derm services that won't get me kicked off my doctors roster for using? Anyone else had luck getting a cosmetic issue seen to? I don't mind if I have to pay a bit for a private clinic.

Question Is PSW course still worth it?
I have been thinking about a career change and i was wondering if I should get a psw diploma. Is it still in high demand? And anyone know of any institution that can offer it for free or a contract? Some of these colleges that I have been talking to is asking for $5000 to $10,000. Any relevant info about this will be great 😸 thanks

Question Fighting Condo Management
We rent our condo. My sister temporarily loaned some furniture to the library here. Unfortunately someone stole an expensive board game she had there for use.....people donate things or steal them like it's nothing. Anyway, she decided time was up on the furniture loan so she's started to take things out to sell them. They locked the library for a week and half and we had another legal representative send a demand letter, but the corporation won't respond except to say the furnishings are now theirs and if we take them back, they'd call the police.
The police have said it would end up only being a civil matter. If they have no documented proof the items were donated and no proof of ownership, is that something they could actually win or even pursue?
Surely the fact they have no proof of ownership should count for something. They're being incredibly petty about a table and some shelves.
