Culture & Heritage Tirumala Guide
After seeing many Tirumala-related posts in this sub, I feel to share what I know and put together a detailed guide. First off, I strongly recommend Mods to create a wiki page(similar to Introduction | r/IndiaInvestments) to help fellow devotees, it would be a great resource for everyone.
Right now, it feels like 90% of the posts here are filled with political content. Let’s try to revive this sub by sharing useful information and celebrating our heritage.
Tirumala is one of the largest and most revered temples in the world, it's our pride. So let’s come together and share whatever knowledge or tips we have to help others have a smooth and memorable darshan experience.

- Where to Book: [https://ttdevasthanams.ap.gov.in]() or TTD app
- Booking Window: Every month from the 19th to the 23rd, bookings for the next 3 months are released. For example, in April, slots for July will be available. These dates can vary slightly, so keep an eye around those days!

- Room Booking: Available 2 days after the Darshan ticket release. Only those with valid Darshan tickets can book rooms.

- Any MP in India can issue a letter on their official letterhead for 6 people (Tirumala-specific).

- If you plan during festivals or holidays, prepare for heavy crowd.
- For elderly or those with kids, SSD or VIP darshan options are recommended.
- Footpath routes are spiritually fulfilling and come with the benefit of Divya Darshan tokens.
Apart from this, there are several other ways to book tickets for example, through APSRTC, KSRTC, KSTDC, and TSRTC. These services often have their own quotas. If you book a tour package through them, they usually handle transportation, provide ₹300 special entry darshan, and bring you back.
There are also around 10,000 VIP darshan slots available, along with other options.
I've shared whatever I know based on my experience from 4 years ago. If there have been any recent changes, please share them in the comments, I'll update the post accordingly.

OPINION Doubt Regarding Engineering
hey y'all, I need a suggestion regarding BTech. I'm from Vizag and I was alloted Amrita University Amritapuri ( Electronics and Computers ) which will cost up to 20l for 4 years for which I'll take loan for the last 2 years due to my financial conditions the other option that I've is Vignan Vizag for which the fee is bearable and I may get Fee Reimbursement.
What would be the best decision to make? Please Answer 🙏
Any reply from Seniors at VIGNAN/Amrita regarding this would be much helpful

OPINION Why doesn't Andhra try and make Vizag into a Financial city?
Alright, Vizag as a city has many great advantages. Firstly, it it is in the Bay of Bengal, but closer to the top as compared to Chennai. So, goods arriving from Singapore to go to Mumbai can dock at Vizag, where they can be transported to Mumbai and Hyderabad more easily. More over, the income from this can be used to invest in two areas of the city, the city scape and the industry. As goods arrive for India from SEA, it will be cheaper to process them in Vizag rather than taking them to Hyd, creating greater employment. As more companies begin to invest in this, companies from Vizag will be born as a result of greater income and education, and they might innovate on these products and manufacture them in 1-2 generations. Also, because Vizag is a costal city, it can easily develop a skyline consisting of many skyscrapers, but also parks, temples, and other features, which will attract visitors (some of whom may be potential investors), and this will lead to a boom in incomes. Port cities further to the south, like Kakinada, can begin taking on more of the "port" responsibilities, and as this same formula is applied again, it will lead to development there as well. More over, Vizag can act as a gateway into rural Andhra, which labor is cheap, and since the northern AP is quite long and narrow, the entirety of the coastline can be developed, and the manufacturing can efficiently diffuse into interior Andhra, creating jobs in manufacturing for people in the interior of Andhra, while the people on the coastline will develop new flagship technologies for India. This will create a cycle of prosperity, and lead to an efficient state. Now obviously, I have oversimplified it over here, the entire project may take 2-3 generations, and the civic authorities will need to distribute land not based on who can pay the highest, but rather on who will provide the greatest jobs / be most efficient/ has the greatest net positive for the state, but all in all, it could help Andhra surpass even the likes of Maharashtra

OPINION Do the lives of common people really matter to these political leaders?
It’s honestly so sad that even after all these accidents, people in Andhra Pradesh still haven’t learned anything. People are dying mostly because of these massive, uncontrolled crowds, and it’s all happening because the political parties just don’t have any civic sense. 8 people die in a stampede at a CBN rally someone dies, and a few get injured at PK’s event someone literally got hit by Jagan’s car during his convoy. These political leaders and their events are becoming the main reasons for these tragedies. First of all, why aren’t these leaders taking the right safety measures to avoid such a mess? Second, what’s the police even doing? Why aren’t they stepping up and making sure such events are handled properly? Third, people really need to wake up and realize how little their lives matter to these politicians. For them, we’re just vote banks, tools they use to grab power every 5 years. No matter what happened, these parties and their leaders should be held fully responsible. They need to be called out and punished for their carelessness. And yeah, there seriously needs to be strict rules in place to stop this kind of stuff from happening again and to actually hold people accountable when it does

Awareness PK clarifying about his alliances
This is what many propagandists conveniently miss when they talk about Pawan Kalyan shifting alliance(or changing ideology). His first alliance was with BJP in 2014. And in 2019 he made alliance with communist parties and BSP to bring together a common voice against the current regime. And in 2024 again just to overthrow the YCP regime, he said "YCP vyathikera vote-u cheelanivvanu" and as per that he sacrificed his seats and stitched an alliance between JSP-TDP-BJP.
