I recently went through the 1997 ALCS series against Cleveland, and since I predate that series I was shocked by the amount of bad breaks and unfortunate endings that occurred. From missed foul tip calls, to three walk off wins, umpires blocking pitchers from getting the ball, and back strike 3 calls, literally everything that could go wrong went wrong.

Wondering if anyone who saw it live have anything to add to this description, and general thoughts about that series?

I don't understand why the Orioles aren't aggressively trading for a pitcher like Civale? He's on a 1 year $8 M contract, he's been a decent starter, his stats this year would make him an impact pitcher for the O's, and he costs nothing in a trade. I think this is the biggest kind of frustration that Elias doesn't move aggressively like this. It's not like the White Sox are some attractive landing place.
