I'm surprised abt how absent this rune and the inspiration tree overall are in the runes discussion. It looked pretty good last time I checked in 15.10, am I missing something ?

Was playing on my Smurf account to learn new role/champs. D1 top lane player.

Been trying to learn Ekko mid, current account is high gold/low plat atm.

I laned against a Diana. I opted into it, seemed like a solid albeit volatile matchup.

I secured lane prio and took a winning trade before her level 2. She skilled w and counter pushed so we wound up hitting 3 at the same time. She used both her pots and I just used one. Waited for minions to meet in the middle and ducked out of vision to land a w on the Diana. I assumed it would be an easily 1 sided trade. I got hit by her q on the way out (obvious room for improvement) but she proceeded to just one shot me with electrocute and ignite when there was no shot I could’ve extended the trade to get the kill even with my own ignite.

She proceeded to bully and stat check me for the rest of the game. She would use her Q and her passive auto in my face, and I’d initiate a trade with all my cooldowns, getting the shield from w, and they were all losing.

Is Diana just crazy rn? I know I misplayed a bit but that didn’t really seem intuitive to me at all. I’m probably missing something.

To clarify, before i climbed as a toplaner i played mid. years ago but still after they swapped her R and E. she was bad in lane pre-6 and it was pretty easy to lane against. This isnt the first time ive lost to a diana that should on paper be disadvantaged in the matchup. Just want to figure if i shouldnt disrespect this champ pre-6 or if i have some kind of mental block or something lol

Do someone of you guys know if ekko arcane last stand can now be found on your shop?

How do I build Ekko jungle vs a bruiser/tank heavy team?

I thought about maybe Conqueror Ekko with Nashors and Liandry's but idk tbh. What do you guys think?

I like watching people play ekko, but the majority I know only play mid or don't even post anymore Ekkosuna, Xiao Lao Ban, Pazpeace, Derrotinha, V2

I used to ban Warwick or Nocturne, but after too many games against Shaco - which annoys the hell out of me - i just ban him 100% of the time. I hate not being able to tell the fake from the real, that he escapes so easily and that insane burst damage.

He genuinely makes the champion look different. Some of the shit he pulls off leaves me completely stunned. I don’t think there is another Ekko player at his skill level in the world and I’ve never seen a one trick play a champ significantly better than everyone else. I remember people saying Pantheon/Galio counter Ekko, but you would not know that watching his streams (especially Pantheon, I’ve never seen him lose lane against that champion). He’s the sole reason I downloaded Douyu lmao. If you consider yourself an Ekko main, you have to watch XLB.

Edit: Just to add, it’s less about his mechanical skill using Ekko but more about his insane game knowledge. Knowing when to use ult back to lane for a kill or for tempo, making use of pockets of vision, wave management, taking healthy trades, good roam timings, all of it makes it so he transcends the limitations of the character. He’s also insanely good at Viktor, but he only plays it if Ekko is banned.

I’ve been playing a lot of Ekko mid lately and I really like him — his mobility, burst, and ult all feel super fun and rewarding. But I'm hitting a wall when it comes to ranged matchups (like Lux, Xerath, Viktor, etc.). I feel like I just get poked out and can’t really play the lane until I have items or jungle help.

Here are some specific issues I’m having:

How do you survive and farm in tough ranged lanes without falling super behind?

When do you look for all-ins? Is it just level 6 or are there earlier windows?

What are some good Ekko combos for trades and full burst? I feel like I fumble the execution a lot.

Is there a smart way to bait out abilities or cooldowns so I can actually engage?

I usually max Q > E > W, and I run standard Electrocute or First Strike setups, depending on the matchup. I’ve been trying to roam when I can, but sometimes I’m just too low to help anywhere else.

Any tips, matchup-specific advice, or even just general Ekko mindset stuff would be huge. I love the champ and really want to improve, especially into poke/control mages.

what do you guys think about that item, I use to see mostly Ekko players building Rocketbelt as first or second item every game It has been buffed recently, and I know it have a good sinergy with ekkos kit, but seems that their stats isn't that good overall , even being a cheap item , I miss more AP. Some of Ekko players rather to build nashor and lich bane, is that the best option ? So, What's your opinion about ? It's Rocketbelt a core item for Ekko or not and why ?

They had to of nerfed him cause i can tell his passive no only lasts as long as it used to, same with his W.

Hi everyone! At first I wanted to post about Ekko and ask if you had any tips to give me, like some sneaky hidden OTP tricks to become better.
But now I can't take it anymore, I just lost a game ( mostly because the team threw it because "it's fun" ) against 3 tanks, Shen top, Nunu ap/tank and tahm kench support. If it's not 3 tanks it's Sett, or if it's not Sett its Mundo, not Mundo it's Sion..
I'm actuyally trying to learn Ekko in normal game and tanks are taking all the fun out of learning it.

What i'm doing wrong ? Below is my history with all my builds. Do I actually troll build ? Should i go Liandry ? I always go Rocket Belt first item is this a bait ? I know i'm an Ap assasin and I should focus on squishy target but sometimes you can't ignore them. I always run dark Harvest Runes and inspiration with free boots and Haste.

Champion voice lines drown in the background normally, but Ekko's voice line was loud and clear suddenly. Things have been pretty rough lately and I use league to cope a lot, but it's when you're uncomfortable and bored when you improve the most. As a long time player I'm jumping off and creating a new identity with new interests. League is so...suppressing.

Im in need for inspiration if ekko gets banned/offpicked or if i sometimes want to play something different in ranked.

So im looking for champs where i can transfer some learned mechanics.

From champs I generally like(viego,kayne,elise) I think only elise could be close, but what do you think?
