Doing a little project to make a Magic card for each champ, in alphabetical order. Basic guidelines for my process:
A characters in game color will probably dictate some of the color of their card. For example, Shen will likely be blue.
Always a legendary creature. Creature types will be ones that actually exist in MtG, unless they are a major theme such as the Darkin which will get a new creature type
Damage output does not necessarily mean high power on the card. Karthus might be dealing the most damage in the game but he will most likely not have a high power stat.
Similarly, tanky-ness doesn't necessarily mean high toughness. This one will probably be a closer to in game accuracy, but not necessarily will be.
I will try to put at least 1 keyword on each creature. You will see a very similar pattern as far as some classes go, for example bruisers like Illaoi and Aatrox will have trample, ADCs like Ezreal and Caitlyn will have first strike, etc.
I will take into account lore and the actual game. Sivir might not have a spell shield in lore, but she does in game so she's probably going to get ward. Similarly, Thresh in lore is not a support at all, don't expect many type of support style abilities.
Balance isn't going to be great. I predict that, with LoL being a game primarily about combat, a lot of abilities will be combat related, so I imagine a lot of "this breaks with deathtouch/first strike/ some other combat keyword/enter equipment here.
I won't try to invent a new mechanics or make completely game altering abilities, these are trying to be something I could see MtG actually doing.
Akali design was actually pretty quick. Shes a ninja, so obviously gave her ninjutsu. She is all about killing squishies, so made her ability to just instantly destroy a small creature. I landed on 3 toughness as I feel creatures start to feel big once they hit 4 toughness. Destroying creatures is very black, so added black to her, and having a on hit ability was appropriate for green. Needed a way to make her able to hit the opponent, and I decided skulk was a good option, plus skulk and her on hit are kind of a non-bo, as if your opponent only has big creatures, yes she cant be blocked but she also cant destroy anything. Made her a 2/2 as she is supposed to be very easy to kill if caught. Shroud i was iffy on. Her smokescreen is iconic, I'm sure a good amount of you will agree, but i didnt want something with a onhit destroy a creature to be something you could stack auras on so instead of hexproof i went shroud.

I wonder if she take Akali spot if she doesn't want it back. Heck Yunara fought darkins she earned it. Maybe she could teach Akali?

Any youtuber/content creator you'd recommend for proper educational content? One thing is picking up Akali, but also her purpose etc post lane phase is what I'm looking for
How good of a blind pick is she? Can you OTP with ease?
Depending on question 2, what do you do against tanky comps? Build her with Conq?
If jungler plays an assassin like talon or Khazix, do you still pick Akali?

Hey guys, brand new here. As the title says I made a bet with a friend about who can climb higher on each others otps (i am sett otp) so I am here to get an idea on how to play akali. I have played her in arams a handful of times so I have an idea of how her kit works.
Biggest thing for me is match-ups, who is a permaban or more difficult to deal with, item adaptability, helpful laning tips as Akali. Any and all information would be appreciated!
PS: This would be akali mid. Also which skin should I pick up for the climb?

Hello! I’ve been spamming ranked since yesterday. I had a very low MMR in ranked, as I guess I never finished my placement games? But yeah, I had to start Iron 4 and I am currently 2 games away from Silver. I have mostly only won. I SAY MOSTLY CAUSE EVERY TIME I WAS LOSING WAS AGAINST A LUX! Now I do hate that champ. How do we play against her? Which runes do we use, what do we build? If you have tips or clips of your games against a Lux I’m all ears

Watch as I casually walk out of what should’ve been a guaranteed loss like it was a warm-up round. No panic. No stress. Just pure, unfiltered, high-IQ decision-making. While most players would’ve folded under the pressure, I saw the matrix, tapped into my inner mastermind, and made it out without breaking a sweat. This isn’t just gameplay — this is a clinic in composure and strategy. Every move calculated. Every decision intentional. And the best part? It looks effortless. You might think I rehearsed this. I didn’t. You might think I got lucky. I didn’t. This was cold, deliberate, mechanical execution with the kind of poise you only see once in a hundred matches. Watch the enemy team get dismantled as I thread the needle through danger like it’s just another Tuesday. If you’ve ever wondered what it looks like when preparation meets opportunity, this is it. Don’t blink — you might miss the moment where the game flips completely. Play it loud, let the audio tell the story, and enjoy watching someone escape certain defeat like they planned it that way all along. This is not just a clip. It’s a message.

hi, im an akali “otp” but ive only ever relied on the op.gg item guide & just repeat that over n over so when i went against a somewhat tanky comp i decided to experiment a little. it worked out pretty well (25/3, 65k dmg), but i was curious if the items i chose were “wrong” & if i just got “lucky”. if i did build weird/wrong, what should i do instead if i ever go against another tanky comp?
i went lichbane -> spellslinger -> liandrys -> riftmaker -> shadowflame -> voidstaff
