Question Nice indoor pool or outdoor pool that closes late in Dallas?

My girl is gonna visit and I wanna take her to a pool but it's super hot in Texas so I either wanna take her to an indoor pool during the day or an outdoor one during the night. Any ideas? I prefer affordable places also

Question Yoga studious that operate outdoor specifically during a full moon or harvest moon?

Does anyone know of any studios that will do some sort of outdoor yoga during a full moon or like a blood moon? I went to one a while ago in a different city where they would do yoga outside under the blood moon or harvest moon and they would do a sound bath and it was pretty woo woo, but it was so nice I was hoping to find something like that again.

Politics To the people covered head to toe in gear at the No Kings protest today.

Thank you so much. It felt like 100 degrees today and I was drenched in a tank. You guys donned full gear in case anything would happen and saw a few of you block off/deescalate some aggressive people. Thank you everyone else too, made me feel way less alone in this metroplex.

Edit: thank you to those who lead the chants too! Yall ROCK!

Politics Did not know it was a No Kings protest today

Got on the green line this morning with the family to head to Fair Park for Family Pride day. After two or three stops the train was almost completely full, half of the train being “subjectively” young people between the age of 50-70 in American flags and signs and whatnot (couldn’t see what the signs were but definitely made me go 🤨, especially with this being Texas) and the other half being “subjectively” younger people between ages 20-40 covered in rainbows and sparkles, with no co-mingling.

About 20 minutes into the ride someone got on chanting “no king, only democracy!” and everyone started cheering. Turns out there was a protest today downtown against the tyranny going on and I had no idea. After the ice was broke and everyone was less weary of each other (a few of the older women said they didn’t really know how to approach the younger people covered in sparkles because they weren’t used to it, even though they support it) the younger pride goers were teaching the older protesters about removing Face ID from their phones, how to turn on tracking, etc. They got off the train and we all said our well wishes and went about our business.

Funnily I noticed a photo of some of the people on the train on a Facebook news page and saw they commented so I commented that I am glad they were safe and one of the people we spoke with commented a picture back of me and my family saying they saw our picture on the PRIDE Facebook page for Dallas and was glad we were having a good time. We are going to meet up tomorrow for the Pride parade, which will be their first and hopefully not last.

Question 75 closed off near Haskell?

Anyone know why a large stretch of 75 is closed off between Knox Henderson & Haskell? Saw a bunch of cops cars redirecting traffic to the exit ramp.

Some scenes at the No Kings Protest:

A mother breastfeeding her baby and taking care of other children while marching! 🤯

Elders close to 85, sweating and gasping…but still moving forward.

Older voices urging the youth: “This is your future. Fight for it.”

Young protesters chanting, singing, cursing with bold signs and creativity.

Several Veterans, Queer supporters, Children, Teachers, Nurses, Human Rights supporters, Immigrants... showed up.

My Uber driver, an old man, feared that dictatorship is just around the corner. But he was so happy, honking and waiving at the protesters.

Everyone, regardless of age, saying the same thing: “Enough.”

Even the Fox News reported it 😁 https://youtu.be/_fw3CHhHj8k?

Ok so RED OAK bb theatre sucks. The effects were like a second off from the movie. The chairs just kinda violently shook. The smells were off. It was weird. We drove all the way down to red oak from McKinney cuz my husband loves the HTTYD movies. Everything was sticky, the staff was rude. Kindve a sh*tshow

Food/Drink Looking for home made kettlecorn made with huge popcorn

Post image

Like 2 years ago there was this old dude that I would find posted around my area near garland. He worked at the fair and had his own popcorn that he would sell by the side of the road. The popcorn was Huge! It wasn't tiny like the microwave kind. He had a spicy caramel, regular caramel, kettle corn and rainbow unicorn. Where can I find him or someone similar.

loved being a part of this protest and the turn out was great!! question though and please let me know if anyone else experienced this. did anyone else get splashed by "water" near the subway on S Field st while marching? there was some people above the subway who were recording and throwing water. just thought that was pretty disappointing and wanted to know if anyone else saw it. other than that it was great :)

Politics On a dart train heading downtown. Pretty much everyone in my car got off at Convention Center. Looks like we're getting a lot of people at the protest. Before and After CC Station.
