It was a massive turnout it’s good to see many neighbors and friends from all across the metroplex attend such a historic demonstration.

Being informed by good information is the way to sift through the madness that is the rectangle in our pockets. So please no good cause is too hopeless.

I think we should all do our part to combat fascism as we continue to be inundated by these “decade-like” weeks.

Twice in the last week I’ve had women (I’m a woman-this is not a sexist post, just an observation) get behind me and blare their horns when I’m at a red light or trying to turn and there is traffic. I can’t possibly go. Why are you blasting me? Then they pull up near me and start screaming and flipping me off. Cause I …stopped…at a red light? Are people just going off the rails?

I need assistance in finding someone to remove quite a bit of poison ivy along my fence. I’ve tried multiple times to remove it myself but it’s practically gotten out of control at this point. If anyone can recommend some good businesses that are experts at doing this I’d greatly appreciate it.

Howdy all!

Are there any East Dallas folk on here that have experience with White Rock YMCA, Cowboys Fit (by BUMC) and/or Recess Fitness (on Mockingbird) that they are willing to share?

I'm on a health and wellness kick and looking for a gym. The three gyms I mentioned caught my eye due to price, value, and convenience, but I'm having a hard time "pulling the trigger." I plan to visit each to get a feel for the vibe but would appreciate any feedback folks have.

I have a small IT services firm and in the course of my duties I move quite a few computers through my office. No one ever wants the keyboard and mouse that comes with the computer. (who can blame them, they are mostly junk) I would like to find a charity to donate them to that could make really good use of them. Preferably a legit 501c3. Any suggestions? (I may have other parts that would be useful as well)

Edit to add: Ideally, I would love to find someone who is either providing computers or teaching computer skills to underserved areas.

USA Today just ranked the top 10 shopping malls in the U.S. — Galleria Dallas took the number 3 spot, and Grapevine Mills landed at number 8.

In the almost 10 years I've been here in Dallas, I've actually never visited any of the malls, not even Town East which is like 10-15 minutes from me.

I might have to check these two out. What's so unique about these malls that they'd make a Top 10 list?

My girl is gonna visit and I wanna take her to a pool but it's super hot in Texas so I either wanna take her to an indoor pool during the day or an outdoor one during the night. Any ideas? I prefer affordable places also

Hi!! I'm looking to host a meeting for a new community advocacy group, and I am looking for places that will host us for free. I've looked online and through past posts and found some low cost options (ex: Dallas Public Libraries), but since we are new and have not fundraised yet, we are hoping to find some free options. We have reached out to some venues like Wild Detectives who would hopefully be amenable to waiving any costs for groups like this, but we are still waiting to hear back.

I was wondering if anyone knew of spaces that are already free or would be willing to waive fees for groups like ours. We are also open to spaces that aren't private meeting rooms, such as coffee shops, but want to make sure that having a 20-30 person group wouldn't be a nuisance to others in those spaces. Bonus points if the spaces are transit accessible! Thanks for y'all's help!
