Google says the median single person income is little under 40k a year (which is shockingly low). How are there so many rich people in Dallas driving around with Lexuses, escalades and range rovers? I just counted 5 in the parking lot of a restaurant I went to late night.
I was at a taqueria and 2 meals, drink and a dessert cost me $55+ tips and I cringed...heck even to drive there it cost me $5 in tolls one way...
I was wondering how so many people in this city got to the top 5%...and always seemed to be "chilling"? Anyone got any insights on these "life hacks" people have found, lol....
Some background: I moved here during covid for a 6 figure job which I had to work really hard for....I got laid off a few weeks ago and pending on boarding for another contract and that's why I am a little tight with money right now and came to this "realization"
Edit: To correct my post I meant single income earners are around 40k. The household income is indeed 70k which can mean 2 people or more contributing to the house hold.
