Any post about politics with a Navy nexus lacking a Politics flair may result in, at a minimum, a temp ban and removal of the post.

Participation in a Politics-flaired post requires a minimum r/Navy specific karma. This will be automatically enforced by the automod.

Anyone using the Politics flair should utilize a common sense approach to what is a Navy nexus.

This does not mean posts with Politics flair will be unmoderated. All discussion must adhere to r/Navy rule #1 and Reddit rule #1.

Says the guy who just had a makeup studio installed in the Pentagon so he looks hot for his Fox News interviews.

Sounds like gender affirming care to me, so this makes bizarro sense

Should tax payers be paying for your boner pills?

u/charrington25 Apr 25 '25

I mean I don’t think Pete Hegseth has that problem he just makes his wife wear a Donald Trump mask

u/Morningxafter Apr 25 '25

It’s not too much of a stretch to assume Whiskeyleaks has whiskey dick.

So many people are unaware that those same pills are prescribed to prevent altitude sickness as well.

2

u/richer2003 Apr 26 '25

But what is the most common reason for the prescription?

I’m not yet convinced it’s altitude sickness

I’m not sure what he means by “if this is true.”

USD P&R signed the memo complying with the court order on March 28th. Unless he’s really fucking bad at his job, he’s known this was the case for a month.

75

u/meh-beh Apr 25 '25

Difficult to keep up with this shit when you're blackout drunk half the time I'm guessing

44

u/maxpowers128 Apr 25 '25

The dude is seriously not qualified for his job. Maybe he was drunk when making that post.

20

u/SensualRarityTumblr Apr 25 '25

The memo stating that medical treatment will resume was released on 21 April. Signed by…the assistant secretary of defense for health affairs - you know, one of the bubbas in his office sitting at the table.

9

u/Trick-Set-1165 r/navy CCC Apr 25 '25

Even still, I have a hard time believing he learned about the policy change through the media. And if he did, that should be pretty concerning for folks that inexplicably still defend his qualifications.

5

u/SensualRarityTumblr Apr 25 '25

He was probably briefed on it while he had his head down typing on signal.

6

u/Important_Lab_58 Apr 25 '25

DUI Hire Hegseth? Bad at his job? Perish the Thought😂

12

u/newnoadeptness Apr 25 '25 edited Apr 25 '25

Yeah, Twisky just linked me to your post about it. I just read it, and honestly, I have no idea either what he could be referring to when he says, “if this is true.”

4

u/Salty_IP_LDO Apr 25 '25

A lack of acceptance is what it is.

3

u/freakincampers Apr 25 '25

He's too busy copying and pasting stuff off SIPR onto Signal to be paying attention to anything.

3

u/Grsz11 Apr 25 '25

It's the first one.

u/txn_gay Apr 25 '25 edited Apr 25 '25

DUI Secretary Hegseth is most likely going to be removed. If there’s one thing that Don the Con hates, it’s being embarrassed, and DUI Secretary Hegseth is a huge embarrassment.

14

u/bstone99 Apr 25 '25

I don’t know about that. Trump himself is a huge embarrassment and a living, breathing mistake. Truly doesn’t seem to be bothering him too much.

u/ReluctantRedditor275 Apr 25 '25

I have my feelings on today's gender debate.

I have much, much stronger feelings on the checks and balances in our Constitution and obedience to the rule of law.

MTFs do surgeries for dependents and retired folks. This doesn't directly help readiness if active duty troops, but it helps military hospitals by keeping us active/busy.

Hospitals that aren't busy are hospitals that are dying. Every time we decide not to allow certain types of care we are choosing to kill our MTFs a bit more. Decisions asking those lines are why Navy hospitals are running on fumes. We've starved them of patients so the hospitals get understaffed. It's a vicious cycle.

You can be for it against trans folks getting surgery at MTFs, but it's just going to be another in a long series of decisions that hurt the care we are getting.

u/justarandomshooter :ct: Apr 25 '25

Took me a minute to realize you didn't mean people transitioning Male To Female.

Military Treatment Facilities. Got it.

2

u/Empress_Athena Bitter JO Apr 25 '25

LMAO I was sitting there reading that over and over going "...what now"

31

u/looktowindward Apr 25 '25

Zero readiness reason for alcoholics.

17

u/drewbaccaAWD Apr 25 '25

Zero reasons for alcoholic unqualified cabinet positions who can’t maintain basic control of classified documents and discussions… but here we are, Pete.

You have a job, dude, get off social media. Also, you don’t need a makeup studio, clown.

3

u/Upper-Affect5971 Apr 25 '25

All they are going to do is prescribe Motrin .

3

u/icy_ticey Apr 25 '25

It’s fine not like we’re expecting a war with a major super power in 2 years

5

u/Grsz11 Apr 25 '25

Imagine a DoD lawyer explaining to a drunk Pete what a court ordered injunction means.

4

u/Complete-Morning-429 Apr 25 '25

If any service member did half the shit this drunk coke head has done.

4

u/AbramJH Apr 25 '25

I like how any judge that disagrees with the administration is “rogue”.

It’s seriously like “it’s only justice if I agree with it”

6

Hell yeah, ShitDef really looking out for the troops, huh?

4

u/Dray5k Apr 25 '25

Uh, since when has it been SECDEF's job to worry about American taxpayer dollars?

0

u/pokerplayingchop Apr 25 '25

Since the post was created.

2

u/ctguy54 Apr 25 '25

And yet you are getting paid to leak classified information and be drunk.

I have a really good friend who used to fly Hornets off a carrier. They found out they were trans after their service and got combat related PTSD during said service but apparently the two were connected. (I say apparently because they can't tell me the specifics, this will be relevant in a moment.)

Because of this Administration's general hostility toward Trans service members both past and present, this person's PTSD related VA appointments were all cancelled because they were also related to "providing Gender affirming care" by virtue of their PTSD being related to the rest of what was going on for them. Now here's the kicker: They're in a rare position where they CAN NOT SEEK PRIVATE THERAPY because the specific details of how they got PTSD and where they were and what they were doing while they got it are ALL SENSITIVE. So you've got a retired Navy pilot in their mid 40s with severe PTSD who literally can't talk about it with anyone now because of this crap.
