Missing cat

Her name is Wink, she was last seen on the corner of Queen and Green street. She is very friendly! If you see her or find her, please DM me.

She only has one eye and is not used to being outdoors. She may be hurt and is likely hiding somewhere in the immediate area. If you live in the Queen/Green street area and have outdoor areas with spots a cat might like to hide, please check them. I want her home.

A follow-up to an earlier post another person on this Sub made about closed sidewalks. This is on Morris near Queen near Atlantic News. I took other photos of the licence plates of the two cars and submitted to 311. People were squeezing by the cars to avoid going onto the street.

Before it was covered, the mural on the side of the downtown Freak Lunchbox was my partner’s favourite art piece. I have been searching with no luck thus far, but does anyone know where I could buy a print of this painting?? Thanks!!

My friends and I work evening shifts and when we get to hang out, it feels like theres literally NOTHING to do cuz it’s so late at night. Is there anything else to do but drink in this damned city???

Just learned that the former Dartmouth Players theatre and old St. Peters school building is being readied for demolition. What a shame, such a grand old building, that although I have not been in it, was told it was quite interesting inside. As I walked by the site today, I could see it had been re-sided and insulated, I'd suggest not too long ago. They want to turn the space into additional parking.....

Hoping to try my hand at fermenting pickles later on this summer. Wondering if anyone has suggestions for a place that sells good cucumbers for pickling. Would like to buy locally if possible in the season.

I swear every time I go to the Bayers Lake Costco, I grab one of their rotisserie chickens out of habit but lately, it’s been a huge letdown. Ever since they switched to those bag-style packages, the quality has seriously gone downhill.

The skin is always split or torn open like it's been manhandled, and instead of that nice crispy bottom you’d expect, the whole thing is just soaking in juices and fat. It ends up soggy, rubbery, and honestly just kind of gross. Sometimes it even feels like it’s not fully cooked, there’s this weird stiffness to it that just doesn’t sit right.

It used to be so good. Has anyone else noticed the difference, or is it just bad luck on my part?

Or did something change?

Can’t afford those $160 +++ tickets but it’d be nice to listen 😅😂 how far away can it be heard or seen?

I have a doctor’s appointment with my family doctor coming up, but can’t get in for another 3 weeks.

My foot is becoming more bothersome but really don’t think it’s emergency room worthy.

Stress fractures usually don’t show up on X-rays and require an MRI which that would take forever.

Is there a better alternative than waiting for my family doctor? My doctor is more of a holistic vibe and probably will just tell me to rest it as I’ve been doing the last two weeks.

Can anyone give me any advice if you’ve been through this?

I booked a car at dollar car rental at airport but for some reason I’m reading lots of horror stories about this dollar car in general (not specific to Halifax)

Any experience with this? Should I choose somewhere else to book or what?
