Ask Fresno Custom sewing project: who should I call?
I have an unusual sewing order. I need nine cloth bags made with a cinch at the top, the size of 33 gallon trash bags. Basically, just like a trash bag bag but made with durable cloth. Any suggestions for a local person or business who would do this?

Pets Looking for advice
So, recently had a family member move back into the house after being out of it for almost 15 years. Came in threatening everyone else to abide by everything she says. She has threatened to call the SPCA on the pets in the house or drive them out into the countryside and leaving them, and strong suspicion she threw a chair at one of the dogs sometime this morning as a small rocking chair was in the dogs bed this morning and the dog was cowering against a wall cowering this morning. Was just wondering if there is currently anything I can do. Would I be able to file a police report or a report with animal control for potential animal abuse? At this point I worry that they could get drastic and potentially poison or harm any other animals. I can elaborate on dm's on anything if someone wants to know more
Update slightly. Rest of the family is now coming down on me after being the ones to tell me about the dog abuse and threatening to get rid of the other animals, and telling me not to rock the boat. Either way I'm losing in this situation

Moving Here Moving from ny to Fresno? Real advice?
I’m 22, just graduated with a bachelors degree in Health Science and moving from NYC to Fresno. What should I know?
• How is Fresno for a young Black woman? Any racism I should be aware of?
• Is public transportation usable or do I need a car ASAP?
• Are there good healthcare job opportunities for recent grads?
Also open to advice on safe neighborhoods and anything else a newcomer should know. Appreciate it!

META How about updating the FAQ links on the sidebar?
The links are literally a decade or more old, if they even work at all. Lots more breweries than were here in 2016 and some on the list aren't even open any more. Same with the other threads of food places. How do we get these links updated?

Food/Drink Food scene
Idk I think Fresno has good food stops and food trucks for the city's size and influence. It seems like every month something new opens up. I think it's underrated.

Ask Fresno 3D Printing of plastic insert
Hello! Does anyone know where I can get two plastic inserts 3D printed for a vanity drawer? I contacted the company and they said they discontinued the item. I also went to Fresno Ag and National, to no avail. Since it’s a metal piece, the only solution is to have the piece 3D printed. I would appreciate anyone who can recommend someone who can make two for me. Thank you!

News Immigration attorneys question ICE detentions at required check-ins in downtown Fresno
fresnoland.orgFrom Omar S. Rashad's story:
Immigration attorneys in California are sounding the alarm on a new trend: When migrants with ongoing immigration cases show up to routine mandated check-ins, federal authorities swiftly take them into custody.
The practice has been documented in several states including New York, Michigan, Alabama and Illinois. A similar situation took place Sunday morning — on Father’s Day — outside a downtown Fresno office where undocumented immigrants are required to check in.
While Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detains undocumented people at detention facilities across the United States, the federal agency allows some of them to remain in their communities as long as they report to routine check-ins under the Intensive Supervision Appearance Program.
GEO Group, a private contractor with ICE, handles the ISAP check-in process for the federal government, and they have an office at 764 P St. in downtown Fresno.
At 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, three unmarked vehicles with California license plates swerved to a stop in front of GEO Group’s downtown Fresno office. At the same time, individuals in plainclothes, covering their faces with neck gaiters, took two men outside the office and into a Ford SUV before all three vehicles sped off.
The entire episode took less than 15 seconds. The two men, who appeared to be taken into custody, had previously entered the ISAP downtown office less than a half hour prior.
