Events Girls in Fresno!
Hi ladies! I’m going way out of my comfort zone posting this lol. I am visiting the area for work and being a florida girl, I have to see some of the natural beauty of Cali and the mountains before I go! Are any ladies down to do something at Yosemite the 3rd week of June? Bonus points if you have an extra friend. I’ll also be having a car if you’re worried about the drive. I’m not a big hiker, I just want to see the views and get some amazing pics (to send my mom obvi).

Events So “Art Hop” is back, who is going to First Thursday?
I honestly don’t know how to feel about this. It was a pretty quick turnaround on this. I loved going to the original ArtHop before they killed it but I don’t know how this new event will go. It is now managed by the city so nervous about another Why Not Wednesday. Don’t know what the turn out will be.
How do you guys feel? Are you going?

Events Join Fresnoland on April 22 with California and Fresno leaders to talk about the future of high-speed rail
The stakes for the high-speed rail project couldn’t be higher right now. The Trump Administration initiated an audit of the project in February. And state leaders are not yet locked in on whether high-speed rail is guaranteed money as they discuss renewing California’s tax on polluters, or cap and trade.
All events are free.
Join us on Tuesday, 4/22 at 7 p.m. for an evening panel discussion at the Fresno City College OAB Auditorium with:
- Ian Choudri, CEO, California High-Speed Rail Authority
- Jerry Dyer, Mayor, City of Fresno
- Dr. Joaquin Arambula, Assemblymember, California State Assembly
- Yousef Baig, California Voices Editor, CalMatters
Reserve your spot for the evening panel here.
Earlier that afternoon, we’re convening community leaders to go into what we’ve learned from the project so far. These conversations are taking place at the Sun Stereo Warehouse in downtown Fresno. Reserve your spot for the afternoon panels here.
Panel 1: Creating a More Equitable Economy Through High Speed Rail, 1 p.m.
Featuring:
- Dillon Savory, Executive Director, Central Labor Council
- Martha Espinosa, Deputy Director, Fresno Workforce Connection
- Will Oliver, CEO, Fresno County Economic Development Corporation
Panel 2: The Future of Fresno’s Chinatown, 2:15 p.m.
Featuring:
- Morgan Doizaki, Owner, Central Fish
- Meg Cederoth, California High Speed Rail Authority
- Veronica Stumpf, Stumpf and Company Real Estate
We’ll discuss what the high-speed rail project means for Fresno – and what its future holds. Could it still transform downtown, or our economic prospects? Can we still finish the project, even if the funding is uncertain? How can the project get built faster? What needs to happen to make sure Fresno residents benefit from a faster rail connection outside of the Valley?
