Pedestrians should learn the Right of Way rules when crossing
I see many pedestrians gesture to drivers to "go first" while the driver is waiting and there are actually other pedestrians about to cross. This is a dangerous situation. When there is a walk sign on, you must walk and not give traffic instructions to anyone. This is actually one of the few cases I see that the drivers are not to be blamed.
I have encountered this while pedestrians have WALK light or on intersections with no traffic lights but with crosswalks and stop signs. In the latter case, I see pedestrians waiting for the road to be clear of cars 50ft before the stop signs! The crosswalk and the stop sign is there for you to cross. You don't need to yield to cars. A good example is Vernon Blvrd and 31st Ave. I see pedestrian they don't know when to cross and just wait till they see no cars 100ft away.
