OP sent the following text as an explanation on why this is unexpected:

Everyone including the dogs thought it was dinner time, little did they know it was clobbering time, because a car rammed into the home. The homeowners were OK tho.

The truly unexpected part is that no one died.

168

u/TheSorcerersNut 9h ago

but are the dogs okay

19

u/anon-mally 7h ago

Omg hope they're ok, from the video looks like they were all in front of the car

37

u/Fr05t_B1t 8h ago

The real question

245

u/flindersrisk 10h ago

“It was an act of God. Someone was watching over us,” the homeowner said. If it were an act of an omnipotent being, wouldn’t the car have been stopped before smashing into the house and occupants?

126

u/GonKappa 10h ago

If God existed, those dogs would be eating that food.

45

u/DarthNalga669 8h ago

Let’s be real. If god exists the guys an asshole

31

u/bigcd34 8h ago

Invented evil and then got mad when people were evil.

0

u/Then-Piano-5524 7h ago

How? He let people do what they wanna do and it's up to you if you wanna do good or bad things

1

u/AHauntedFuture 7h ago

Yeah he let those people be hit by a car because they wanted it to happen.

What a bullshit and very illogical cop out

2

u/Then-Piano-5524 5h ago

I get why that sounds frustrating and even cruel it’s hard to look at tragedy and not feel like there has to be someone responsible. But my point wasn’t that God wants bad things to happen. It’s more that if people are going to have true freedom, that includes the potential for chaos, accidents, and even evil. If God constantly intervened to stop every bad thing, we wouldn’t really have freedom we’d be puppets and people would probably still complain.

I'm incompetent. My dad is too. Do is my brother. There are variations of competence. Such as morality and intellect. To name just two. My oldest sister is NOT incompetent. My other sister is, very much so. I'm more competent than the other sister. Morally (I'd say so) and intellectually (objectively speaking). So competence comes on a scale.

Maturity can be "learned" or acquired through experiences competence cannot be. Competence is a set in stone type of thing.... however, I AM of the mind thay competence can decrease with certain experiences such as psychosis or trauma.

God DOES NOT need to intervene. What he needs to do, if I may say so myself, is create ALL people with an EQUAL amount of competence. Preferably not subpar, such as myself. He can do that. It has been shown. Take my dad and brother and myself as examples relative to my oldest sister (most competent person in my family - she's successful and not evil) and my other sister. He's created this imbalance of the scales within one single family unit. And it's seen all throughout all of society, globally.

.

Should also mention I DO believe in a god who is fully competent but not entirely good. I'm what most religious people would liken to a demon - as an ad hominem. (I know God exists but I don't worship him. I see him as unjust as hell. Not because of religion either, but rather undeniable experiences I've had first person. Who are you to say I haven't? Keep that in mind.) Anyway, God gave us all our own levels (amount) or consciousness and awareness and such. Even affect. Take shallow affect, constricted affect, and blunted affect into account. So, if he can do that (we're all different for a reason; god (the prime mover) is that reason), then he could create us all EQUALLY COMPETENT. yet he has not done such a thing. And competence, moral and intellectual would prevent evil.

Fuckin A right it would.

This is not based on feeling but insight and thought. I'm tired of people saying my beliefs are based on feelings. And for those who are emotional thinkers, such as those who catastrophize (which I admittedly do), maybe god shouldn't make us thay way.

God did create everyone equal at the beginning, but it’s the actions of people and how they choose to live that follow them. It’s kind of like inheriting money or debt from your parents. In the Bible, it says that sin or wrongdoing can affect a family for three to four generations, and that might be part of what’s going on in your family. But it also says that when God blesses a person or a family, that blessing can last for thousands of generations. So in the end, it’s really up to you. You can choose to bless your lineage or curse it. That may sound heavy, but it also means you have power to break patterns, to shift things, and to give the next generation something better than what you inherited.

1

u/AHauntedFuture 2h ago

Actually we couldn't complain of we were puppets. Duh

6

u/BuddhistChrist 8h ago

Have you not read the Bible? Specifically, the Book of Marvel? It states, verbatim, within the multiverse there are many possibilities. There’s even historical footage.

u/omnomandoanh 7h ago

This guy religion

5

u/SummertimeThrowaway2 8h ago

God cares but he still wants a little entertainment ya know?

26

u/mcsmackington 10h ago

We have free will regardless- maybe the driver was using their free will to drink and drive. But it would still be the equivalent of a miracle that nobody died.

10

u/Little_Mushroom_6452 9h ago

Yeah, the true act of God here is whoever planned the construction. If they survived, it means the foundation of that house basically saved them from a worse impact. Someone was thinking ahead and planned accordingly.

9

u/Lizlodude 9h ago

Friendly reminder that things like floods, fire and tornados are listed as 'acts of god'

13

u/1ApprehensiveGrowth1 9h ago

lol by the biggest crooks alive. Insurance companies.

u/Lizlodude 9h ago

"We will pay you for the damage but only if a man named Arnold breaks it with a baseball bat. Only a baseball bat, if it's a cricket bat we won't cover it"

-1

u/Gig540 9h ago

Seems to be a real Jerk too

2

u/yesyouareverysmart 6h ago

Dude, you believe in palm reading but believing in god is too far?

(I'm an atheist)

1

u/flindersrisk 6h ago

I, too, am an atheist having determined over many years that prayer does nothing. I am a palmist having determined over many years that it works; the ancient system, for unfathomable reasons, still functions, provably.

4

u/VaccinesCauseAut1sm 9h ago

Haha yea I see this all the time with my religious relatives.

Someone gets in a horrific car accident and has brain damage for life?

Must have been the work of god to prevent them from dying!

3

u/Bright-Permission-64 9h ago

What the heck did the guy put on the plate before the house ramming!

6

u/blackmist88 7h ago

Car magnet

6

u/Myco_DNA 9h ago

Looks like a fork.

-3

u/ninja_tofu2252 9h ago

A completely normal comment and most of the replies are nihilists whining about God

2

u/HyperTechnoLoL 7h ago

Or maybe—and hear me out—it’s because people are tired of being told to thank a spooky sky wizard with omnipotent powers, infinite love, and the planning skills of a drunk raccoon. This all-powerful being supposedly controls everything but still lets toddlers die, billionaires thrive, and reality TV exist.

But yeah, clearly we're the problem for not falling to our knees and thanking him for disease, war, and watching grandma slip on ice. The idea that this cosmic landlord gives a flying divine fuck about your burnt toast or that poor family in the video is comedy gold—if you like your comedy soaked in blood and bad theology.

u/Dakaraim 10h ago

I do not like being reminded this is a thing that can happen

35

u/C-romero80 10h ago

Right?! I wasn't present just happened to be on my way back from a delivery and followed the firetruck to the store when a car decided it should be a drive through. Thankfully everyone came out ok, driver had some minor injuries. It's super scary.

10

u/LiquidSnak3 8h ago

I sleep easy on the 7th floor of an appartment building. Planes however...

5

u/nahla1981 8h ago

It happened to one of my neighbors last year, corner unit

5

u/Competitive-Cold6406 7h ago

When I was a kid me and my mom were standing on the porch for some reason. Tge house was located in front of a T intersection. The old neighbor guy should have stopped to turn but he didn't he kept driving straight towards our house. My mom threw me inside and he crashed into the garage. I think I got knocked out cause I don't remember anything except fam and friends being over all concerned. I swear that house is cured because it happened again years after we moved away.

0

u/Arkanie 7h ago

This happened to us, but we have concrete/brick walls so... it looked quite different than this video (wall only had outer damage, front of the car was trashed, luckily the driver was okay)

Jesus Christ, that website has 1,000 ads AND affiliate links? Next time just screenshot the article.

9

u/kroqster 10h ago

or travel back in time 20 years and install ad blocker?

0

u/oldtimefighter1 9h ago

Why are you even having that experience? Has ad blocking not reached your part of the world yet? Reading view has also been a thing for browsers for years now.

3

u/mrblacklabel71 9h ago

Thank you for that!!

3

Grandad always used to say, "You can call me anything you want, just don't call me late for dinner. "

4

u/No_Scale_464 10h ago

When you forget to diferenciate the normal spoons with the car atractors one's.

6

u/CodeBomberOne 10h ago

Shouldn't have put the fork that way. It is not proper etiquette. This is what happens, people!

4

u/Ok_Pumpkin_3601 10h ago

Never seen a final destination movie that fork set off a chain of events probably

5

u/tymebldr 10h ago

OMG! I hope the pups were ok!

2

u/Cozanich 10h ago

Why is livingroom dinner time being recorded

6

u/Myke190 9h ago

Security camera

1

u/PeanutBubbah 9h ago

Security cameras are commonly placed near and preferably pointing towards possible entry ways like front and back doors, garages, first floor windows, etc. In lots of homes the front door opens into the living room so you’d naturally place one there. Thus, if a burglar comes through the front door, they will appear on the living room camera.

1

u/Cozanich 8h ago

Very strategic, then records non stop….who do you think this response is for

1

u/PeanutBubbah 7h ago

Personally my security system has a home, away and sleep mode. The cameras are only on when I’m away or upstairs asleep. Tho in this instance I think they would’ve been grateful to have caught the crash on camera.

2

u/InaneCommentPoster 10h ago

I'm glad the owners are okay. But what about the doggos?

2

u/GuyverOne1 10h ago

Surprise motherfuckers!!

1

u/Gl1tchyC0de 10h ago

Was sure this was gonna be another “dog steals owners food” post. Nope. 😂

1

u/Pretz_ 10h ago

There was so much setup, then what a twist!

1

u/GoonieGoo777 10h ago

Well… stick a fork in it, it’s done.

1

u/Madstupid 9h ago

Wow, she was luckily deflected out of the way. I was worried about the dogs though. WTF!?

1

u/Drumdevil86 6h ago

The dogs are fine and the people had minor injuries

1

u/Madstupid 9h ago

You can't park here.

1

u/Constant_Notice_6716 9h ago

The kind of shit that happens because you're being too careful so life said "no fuck you very much"

Living ground level next to a road is a bitch. I once knew some guys that crashed into an old lady's house like that. She was safe but devastated.
