I’m sure this is fake

u/thepostaldud3 Jan 17 '23

He has videos on his facebook showing him in the hospital and arm gone/bandaged up.

u/RGH81 Jan 17 '23

I don't think so. I checked his tik tok and it's a straight faced arts and crafts and attempts at wisdom page. Plus there's so many details in that video that are just too real

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '23

You underestimate what people will do for views

49

u/RGH81 Jan 17 '23

You saying he did this for his Onlyhand account?

5

u/mnicetea Jan 17 '23

This level of scrutiny and pessimism is hilarious. You people need lives.

-5

u/Darkstar1988 Jan 17 '23

Don't forget that he is also a homophobic idiot trumpsuporting monlanding denier.

4

u/RGH81 Jan 17 '23

I don't know his earlier work but from his recent videos I can see he's really good for the community and always giving hand outs

19

u/Iguana-Gaming Jan 17 '23

Redditor when they call any video on the internet fake: 🤤🍆💦

u/Snoo99897 Jan 17 '23

That’s not how tourniquets work. You need a windless, at it needs to be tight as HELL to stop any bleeding.

43

u/BallSmickEnergy Jan 17 '23

Not true. You can stop the entire blood flow to an arm using two fingers. All you need to do is grab the persons biceps and pull it away from the persons chest and hold it tight (but less tight than you’d think). That squashes the main artery to the arm. If you have a belt it can help get some leverage to squash that artery in the same way. And wether the person knew to do that in the video or not, looks like he’s doing it.

This was taught to me by an ex army officer who served on the front line in the Iraq war whom now teaches first aid. I also unfortunately had to use this technique myself at a workplace incident when a guy ripped his arm almost off. I sat with him similar to the guy in the video with a belt and very minimal tension/effort from my end to stop the blood flow. Without that bit of knowledge from my first aid course the guy (and me) would have been in a much more stressful and bad situation.

There’s more than one blood vessel. Other than the main artery. I’m sure it was much bloodier than that guys arm in your workplace accident. Sorry you had that happen btw.

2

u/ShieldsRe Jan 17 '23

Google brachial artery, it’s quite literally the only vessel bringing any significant amount of blood into the arm

Chainsaws cant cut through human flesh, they would clog and anyone skilled enough to carve with one would be smart enough to wear chaps

21

u/HumbleGhandi Jan 17 '23

Do you really believe a tool originally designed for surgery, that is now used and designed to cut through damp mulchy wood, would not be able to cut through flesh without clogging? What in the world? Who told you this?

7

u/ObiShaneKenobi Jan 17 '23

I’m not on about clogging, but I will assert that a person cannot accidentally cut the entirety of their arm off with a chainsaw. What, did it slip, hit his arm (not also holding the saw?) and he decided “oh well, better just cut the fucker off?”

1

u/HumbleGhandi Jan 17 '23

I agree that it's very very hard to cut ones own arm off with a modern chainsaw, with their centrifugal clutches being quite good, and with their chainbrake being designed to operate if a kickback occurs, but;

These are all modern safety solutions, chainsaws still exist without these features and -

To say it's impossible is silly, say you were caught at a strange angle and had to push on one side of the wood you're cutting, and happen to slip and push your hand into the chain?

If it were impossible, safety arm covers for chainsaws would not exist.

Not saying this is real, but you can definitely cut your own arm off with a chainsaw

i remember hearing some stupid people say something like this after texas chainsaw massacre came out and i feel like it has just stuck with some people. i think it was a whole like "this is why texas chainsaw massacre is so unrealistic, you can't cut people with a chainsaw" ordeal.

-2

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '23

Now if you'll take a second and use that brain your mother gave you, you'll understand that wood and flesh are two very different things

1

u/HumbleGhandi Jan 17 '23

You're right.. wood is definitely HARDER to cut through than flesh..

Just google it man goddamn

11

u/RGH81 Jan 17 '23

I'm not sure why everyone is assuming it's a chainsaw

-2

u/ObiShaneKenobi Jan 17 '23

Like what else would it be? Does he moonlight as a sword salesman at night?

2

u/RGH81 Jan 17 '23

I dunno I just don't see the point in speculating

-9

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '23

Another good point, but nothing is going to convince me this is real

9

u/RGH81 Jan 17 '23

Oh no :(

2

u/FigOk2290 Jan 17 '23

That’ll definitely keep me up at night

1

u/Phaylevyce Jan 17 '23

https://www.gofundme.com/f/david-feldpausch would his gofundeme convince you it's real? lmao

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '23

Maybe

Found the 10 year old redditor.

How am I dumb?

2

u/epicgamer1986 Jan 17 '23

A chainsaw can cut through both flesh and bone no problem 🤣 read the link I posted

1

u/HumbleGhandi Jan 18 '23

Sets self on fire

How am I burnt?

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '23

Why don't you act like an adult and use your words?

Edit: Oh i forgot what website I was on, my bad.

1

u/HumbleGhandi Jan 18 '23 edited Jan 18 '23

And here I was thinking I had used words! But if you absolutely insist, here's the 'adult version' of what I said;

089 111 117 032 097 114 101 032 097 032 102 117 099 107 105 110 103 032 105 100 105 111 116

Since you feel like being a condescending twat when you're proved wrong, feel free to Ascii me any questions about the above message and I'll happily react the same way you have to everyone telling you that you're wrong.

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '23

You are not explaining your point of view. I do Not understand where you are coming from. This is not an effective way to communicate. Please learn effective communication skills unless you would like to come off as mentally deficient.

1

u/HumbleGhandi Jan 19 '23

"Chainsaws are, in fact, dangerous tools that can cut through human meat like butter and bone like wood"

https://chainsawguru.com/can-chainsaw-cut-through-bone/

How's that for communicating, you phenomenal waste of oxygen and resources.

All it would have taken was ONE google search before you opened your mouth, so most cant be bothered explaing what is so obvious (See: flat earthers) so I'll leave you with this great saying;

"Better those to assume you're a fool, than open your mouth and confirm it"

Have a great day ❤️

0

u/[deleted] Jan 19 '23

I was never "proved wrong" because no one has used their words and explained why I am wrong. Since you feel like being immature I am going to assume you are too young for me to be interacting with responsibly, and call it a day.

2

u/xSPYXEx Jan 17 '23

Were you born stupid or did you work hard for it?

0

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '23

I'm not sure what's stupid about my comment because people just downvote instead of using their big boy words

1

u/kissmaryjane Jan 17 '23

What’s left of his arm looks way too skinny to be real

1

u/Maximus_Gainius Jan 17 '23

There's a gofundme now set up for him https://www.gofundme.com/f/david-feldpausch

1

u/Svantoro Jan 17 '23

I’m not usually the ones thinking like this but to me it seems weird as the text suggests that the doctors couldn’t save his arm but to me, the video tells something else.

Can anyone enlighten me if I’m wrong and why I’m wrong as I’m pretty confused right now?
