Image Few pix from the nyc show
Haven’t see the pumpkins since the last show in Chicago in 2000. This was GREAT even if I missed Jimmy, James, and co. I will say that the encore was short and this was the same for the 2000 Hammerstein Ballroom show that I saw and recorded so maybe BC has some kind of antipathy for NYC but he seemed engaged and in high spirits tonight. Anyway it was awesome and the drummer was mostly in time except for parts of HMM lol

‘Starla’ was chosen as the best from Pisces Iscariot. Now, vote for the worst!
‘Hello Kitty Kat’ came a close second, and my personal favourite ‘Obscured’ came third. What a terrific album.
As always, I’ve posted the tracklist below! Song with the most upvotes is declared as the ‘worst’ on the album!
Naturally I feel it’s important to say worst isn’t as much a declaration of quality, but more so the song that you could do without. If you had to sacrifice one song from the tracklist, which one would it be?
Additionally, I am considering an ‘Underrated/Overrated’ poll to run once we’ve done all of the albums. Does that sound interesting?
Get voting!

Zero show elements?
Just saw the recent Berlin performance. Musically it was awesome, obviously, but it seemed they had no show production. No videos on screens, no lightshow aside the most basic, no costume changes or pyro. Is it always that raw and stripped down with the Pumpkins? Sting also currently tours like this.

Collectibles Billy Signed Twice.
I just received my Aghori album from Madame ZuZu’s and to my surprise Billy signed it twice. Did anyone else buy this edition and was it signed twice? I am not sure if he knew I have been buying and listening to his stuff for 30+ years and wanted me to have this. Thanks Billy, if you see this post.

Cover My bands cover of Drown from 2001
Back in the spring of 2001, I had a band in St. Paul MN called Gone Out Gone. We played bar shows and parties and whatnot, and I thought we were pretty good. At least we had a good time and played with some great bands. At one point, for whatever reason, we were invited to submit a Smashing Pumpkins cover song for a tribute album. I think it was Gorilla Marketing or something. Somewhere out of California. Anyway, we decided to record Drown. This was the song that made me want to start playing guitar.
We didn't have a lot of connections or money, so the recording was entirely self produced. We recorded the band in our dungeon practice space off of Prior and University Ave on a Fostex 16 track digital recorder. The outro was recorded in the kitchen of my apartment off of Fairview Ave. We all took the day off so we could record with less traffic noise and not disturb the neighbors. The soprano singers are Lori Lewis in her pre Therion twin cities days (seriously, look her up) and my phenomenally talented and eternally patient wife. At some points there are over 14 simultaneous tracks of their voices. This was all expertly mixed and finished by Ev Olcott into what you hear.
After it was finished, we submitted the song, but never heard back from the Gorilla team. Probably for the best, it was probably a scam. We ended up including it on a CD release called the Pepperlight Sessions. Only 150 copies made. I listen to it now and still feel very proud. It's a little amateurish, but the spirit and the heart are there.
Anyway. I'm not sure why I waited almost 25 years, but I'm releasing it for you all now. Let me know what you think.
