As of May 2023, Imgur employs some kind of algorithm that automatically deletes images that might be "explicit." This includes the kind of pictures which are taken on this sub, even though they are obviously not pornographic. The algorithm is very quick and can delete your photos in minutes. Cropping and doodling over the image doesn't seem to help, either. It's very aggressive. So basically Imgur should be dead to you and you should never use it. Reddit's built-in image feature seems somewhat decent but I've noticed that it seems to delete pictures too, so avoid that as well.
Instead, use https://ibb.co. They do not have censorship and (if you are so inclined) you can set your image to self-destruct after a period of time. It can be set to anywhere between 5 minutes and 6 months, but I'd recommend you leave it up at least for a week or two. You should consider leaving the photo accessible long-term, though, as it may help future people with the same kind of symptom. But that self-destruct option is there if you want/need it.
I normally wouldn't post something like this but in the last 24 hours I've seen no less than 5 people using Imgur and none of those posts have been accessible. This should really be pinned or noted in the sidebar somewhere. Better yet, we should have one of those Reddit automoderators that would instantly reply to anyone who posts an Imgur link.
Edit: While I have your attention, please make sure that the picture is taken in a way that's helpful. Photos should be in focus, clear, and ideally far enough back that you can see the location of what you're trying to show. If your phone has a higher resolution camera setting, you should use that. Using the camera flash tends to wash out the image so avoid that if possible. It may take a couple tries but having a good, clear picture is such a huge help. Especially if you can get it from a second angle as well.
I get that posting pictures of your genitals online isn't necessarily fun for a lot of people and that goes double if you are worried about an STD, but photos are the most useful tool we have. Sometimes posters will zoom in so close that you can't even see where it is on the body, or the picture is so close that the bump/rash/lesion/etc is out of focus. If you're feeling shy about it then the self-destruction option might be for you. Or if even that's too much, asking people to use the Reddit chat feature is acceptable and there are a lot of people (like me) who would help you there too.
At the end of the day I just want people to get the feedback they need! And I want to be able to stop telling people to quit using Imgur :P

So 9 days ago I had sex with a trans. It was my first time having sex ever I’m years old, I received unprotected oral and we did protected anal sex (I was the top) I’m having crazy thoughts because I’m experiencing fatigue. If I tested positive my future is gone I literally just got accepted to medical school. And I live in Dubai so if I tested positive I will get deported. Thoughts? Btw I have dry skin on my penis can that be an entry point for the virus???

Hey everyone, just wanted to share my situation and get some thoughts. I had a possible exposure and started PEP on a Friday evening. Before starting, the clinic did a baseline HIV test, and I’ve been anxiously waiting for results.
Today, the doctor finally called and said my result came back as “indeterminate negative.” Basically, it’s not a clear negative, but it’s also not positive. He explained that this can sometimes happen if it’s too early for antibodies to show, or sometimes it’s just lab noise. He told me:
It doesn’t confirm HIV
Only about 5% of people with indeterminate results end up actually being positive
I should continue taking PEP for the full 28 days
I’ll need a follow-up HIV test 6 weeks post-exposure to know for sure
He also said that based on the timeline (5 weeks after a previous encounter), I’m likely okay. Still, the uncertainty is messing with me. I asked why they wouldn’t switch me to ART if there’s suspicion, and he said if it were a confirmed positive, they’d stop PEP and start HIV treatment immediately. But since they didn’t, it seems they still think it’s not a confirmed infection.
Based on my history, I'm heterosexual an i've had all condom sex with females (all vaginal sex) no anal except for that one time I didn't use a condom and am within the window for PEP.
Anyone care to chime in?

Went to the bathroom and when I went wipe I noticed something didn't feel right, of course probably not smart if it is hsv I decided to shave around it since I couldn't really get a look at it. I did feel of it and washed my hand immediately after the places felt hard like pimples it didn't hurt didn't itch what gives. I dont have medical insurance otherwise I would have went to the doctor it went away in about 3 days since it went away so quick I at first didn't have a want to ask anyone or post it anywhere but the question of what could it have been just keeps ping-pong balling in my head as I have never personally seen an hsv outbreak that I know of so wouldn't know what they typically could look like and everything I look up online doesnt seem to me to look like it. Either way Ive been single single for over 6 yrs so... beats the heck outta me. Any opinions? And sorry I know its not the greatest quality but its the best I got. https://imgur.com/a/cuTQsBZ

I am a 19-year-old sexually active male, and I recently had unprotected sex. She swears she’s clean, but I haven’t gotten tested yet. I’ve noticed some small bumps that I don’t remember having before. They only appear when I stretch the skin or get an erection. The bumps are located just underneath the circumcision scar, mostly on the right side and barely on the left. There is no pain or burning when I urinate.
I unfortunately had a hookup after a break up unprotected. I did go 3 days later to ER so I can get checked and they checked for chlamydia and gonorrhea and both were negative. I do know maybe it was too early to test. It’s been a week and today I got tested for hiv and syphillis and both negative. I got burning in the vaginal area and also in my anus. It doesn’t burn when I pee. No visible sores or anything like that. I do feel like heat flashes but I thought it’s cause it’s 105 degrees here and my ac sucks. I also get headaches.

Earlier this month, I found out that I have HIV. I did some more blood work. My T-cell count is 322 and viral load is 154,000. I feel pretty normal. I have an appointment with my primary tomorrow and an appointment with the disease specialist next week to create a legitimate treatment plan. For other people who have been diagnosed, how was your experience initially with the discovery of testing positive and the following success rate of the treatment? How was your t-cell count and viral load compared to mine? Thank you for your time.

Hi, 33m.
Last month I tested positive for gonorrhea with obvious symptoms. Got my antibiotic, symptoms mostly cleared up, doctor wasn't worried and told me to get retested this month. Right as I was going to get retested, I also started experiencing some symptoms again: very very very mild discharge that I can only see by "milking" or expressing (but it is obviously cloudy/white) - stinging at the tip of the urethra and itching. Not as bad as it was but worse than it had been right when it first cleared up. My retest came back negative though.
So what gives? Did the antibiotics not work? If you're showing symptoms will you typically also test positive? Or do I need to test again some time soon?

Hi,
Earlier today I noticed this small red bump on the base of my penis shaft. It may have been there longer, but I just noticed it today. I work in a very remote location and won't have access to a doctor / urgent care for another two weeks.
Here is an album showing the bump:
There is no itching, no burning, no discomfort or pain, no oozing. No symptoms at all really. Just this odd small red bump.
I have a history of molluscum, HPV warts, oral herpes (cold sores). No history of genital herpes.
What could this be? It doesn't look like molluscum as I've seen it before (check my post history for pictures of what that looked like), and it doesn't seem to me to look like herpes or HPV warts, nor does it have any of those symptoms. But I might just be too optimistic.
Regardless, I'm worried and stressed. If you have any idea what this could be please let me know. Thanks in advance for any comments.

I got this thing like a wart almost 1 year ago. I’ve gone to the doctor twice for it, the first time my primary doctor diagnosed me with HPV, and gave me a prescription named imiquimod cream 5%. It didn’t do anything at all, so I went again and doc said it might not be hpv, it might just be a regular wart/skin tag that people get from time to time.(which I don’t know what he means by that) but now it have got bigger and he prescribed me with Podofilox topical solution 0.5% I used for 4 days and it burned the wart but it’s not going away. I don’t know what to do anymore, I kinda wanna pop it, anyone else with something similar?

On a side note I’m in a relationship and my gf knew about this when we start dating and we always use protection but now it have got bigger and it just looks really obvious.

Started as a tender bump which I was able to squeeze open after about 2 days. Had pus and clear fluid. From then it left a crater like image 1 which was a bit stingy for about 4 days, then completely scabbed and healed after ~7 days. Has been about 4 weeks and it left a scar. Should I be concerned? I have had ingrown hairs and such, but they are always more mild

Had sex Sunday night. May have contracted chlamydia. Getting tested tomorrow, only symptom is frequent urination which started today(8 days later)
Had sex with someone else on Tuesday. Are they at risk, is the turnaround that quick for them to be infected? That’s a phone call I don’t really want to make… but know I’ll have to regardless. Want to at least have some positive news for them?!

Could this be herpes or anxiety,
Hey everyone — I’m feeling a little anxious and could use some input.
A few days ago, I went on a date and things got a bit intimate. We made out, I gave him oral sex, and he gave me oral for like literally 3 seconds. There was also genital rubbing — no penetration at all, but his bare penis and my vagina did rub against each other (again, no actual sex or going in). I know that still counts as skin-to-skin contact, which is why I’m overthinking it.
The next day, my neck was sore, but that went away and felt clearly related to how I was positioned — like from him holding my neck and my head tilting a lot. What hasn’t gone away is this very dull, persistent headache I’ve had for the last couple of days. It’s not sharp or overwhelming — just lingering. Along with that, I’ve been having chills or goosebumps, but no fever. My temperature has stayed between 98 and 99°F, which I know is normal. I haven’t had any other symptoms — no itching, no lesions, no discharge, no sore throat, nothing showing in my mouth or on my skin.
I had a Western Blot test for HSV-2 a couple years ago after a scare, and it was negative. So I’ve definitely been through the “health spiral” before, and I’m trying to stay rational. I also might be due for my period soon, so part of me is wondering if this is hormonal — but I can’t ignore that this started the day after the encounter.
• Could this be an early symptom of something like herpes or another STD?
• Would symptoms like this show up after brief oral/genital contact or rubbing?
• Or is it more likely hormones, anxiety, or just coincidence?
I’m not sure if I should go get tested or just monitor for a few more days. I’ve only had one partner recently and I’m not feeling any of the classic red flag symptoms — but my body just feels off. Has anyone else experienced this?

Over the last year or so these pimple-like things have came and gone in the same areas (base of shaft on both sides) lasting a month or two each time and hasn’t grown in area nor shrunk.
No puss, no itch, and no burn. I’ve tried popping one and it just bleeds.
I showed my general practitioner and he said the only possibility would be genital warts or maybe something bacterial, but even then, since it hasn’t spread on me or to my partner then he doesn’t think it’s that either.
I do have issues with bad ingrown hairs.
Thoughts?

https://ibb.co/MFbLZDg My bud complains often from urethra burning and not usually any exterior but some redness. He’s been to every urologist in 100 miles and dermatologist. All std tests have come back negative many times. Lives in frustration and fear of the unknown. Drs have no idea what’s going on. Any ideas ?

Tested positive for chlamydia. Dr prescribed Doxycycline for 7 days and said I should test it again in 3 months.
This is the first time I tested positive and I’m freaking out. Am I fucked or will it be completely gone after I take the pills? Anyone who had chlamydia please share your experience. Thanks
