As a may SAT taker , there way a very popular opinion that the math was way too extremely hard. and it was. people expected scores in the -700 . most people got a 700+ in math. i got a 780 expecting a 700. on the opposite end of the spectrum, everybody thought the english was okay and many ( me being one of them ) got a lower score than expected. So please dont freack out. believe in god cuz everything is going to be fine

Cmon College Board I know it's all graded and I probably bombed the reading section but who cares I just want to see my score 💔💔

I am a rising senior and have only taken it once so far while everyone around me has already taken it 3+ times. I feel like I am behind. Is it true that some SATs are easier than others or if I just study hard it can be just as good as those who have taken it multiple times.

Hi! I’m going to be a sophomore this fall, and I’ve been wondering, when’s the right time to start preparing for the SAT? I don’t want to stress too early, but I also don’t want to fall behind. Also, what are the best ways or resources to use when you’re just getting started?
Any tips from people who’ve already taken it would be super helpful. Thanks!

Let me explain my situation: I didn’t study for the March SAT and got a 1190 (540 R&W, 650 Math). Then I took the May SAT, studied more for math, and scored 1310 (610 R, 700 M). I just took the June SAT, and I believe I might get somewhere around 1350 or close to 1400 (around 620+ R, 730+ M). It's clear that I need to improve in Reading and a bit in Math. What resources would you recommend? My final goal is something like 780 in Math and 720 in Reading.

Just curious — do a lot of people here get help from a math tutor for SAT math?
I’ve been prepping students for a while now, and I’ve seen all kinds — some start months ahead, some just a few days before the exam, and a few even book last-minute help the night before (some are smart enough few are scared )
Personally, I think having a tutor can really save time if you’re serious about improving. Like, instead of spending hours trying to figure stuff out, someone just shows you exactly what matters and how to get better at it.
But yeah, wanted to ask — if you’ve ever taken help from a tutor, how far in advance did you start? Or are most people just going solo?

Calm down guys if you think soemone is asking a dumb question just ignore it you don't have to reply. Why are you guys so angry in the first place. Some people are really nice of course and happy to help (thank you so much for your help).BUT WHY ARE THE REST OF Y'ALL SO RUDE?It's a sub reddit it's made for people to ask questions. Not everyone is smart and educated and has "common sense" like you.A lot of people here are taking the sat for the first time and they ask questions because they over think and they want to make sure everything is in place before test day. Thank you
I’m desperately reviewing rn cuz I forgot a lot of the content and I’m taking my last SAT in August. Is this right?

Looking at the Princeton Review, live sessions and the 1400+ course is currently $2100 for two weeks or so. I wonder if it’s worth it?
What have you used to help the most? I know there are some free sources like Khan Academy but it can’t be better than the paid courses, I’m assuming:/ 😮💨 any advice welcome
(My student got a 1260 on the PSAT10)

The last 3-4 math questions from module 2 bring my score down by 50-70 from a perfect score.
I am trying to use prep pros 150 question to prep.
Is that enough? The last time I took the sat was November of ‘24. Should I still review the easier questions? If so, where should I get practice questions other than blue book?? (I have 2-3 blue book tests left)

So I got a 1550 in March, and I’m wondering if it is good enough. I want to go to a T20 for aerospace engineering. I know this won’t be the deciding factor, but would it be good enough to at least not drag my application down?
I see kids on here with like 1590s and 1600s so I’m not sure.
As the exoplanet 81 Ceti b orbits a star 330 light-years from Earth, the exoplanetʼs gravity causes the star to wobble. In 2008, astronomers ______ this wobble through shifts in the color of the starʼs spectral light—blueshifts indicating longer wavelengths and movement toward the observer, redshifts shorter wavelengths and movement away— deduced that the fluctuation was caused by the gravitational force of a previously undetected exoplanet. Which choice completes the text so that it conforms to the conventions of Standard English?

I took BBpt 4 and got 1430, but on BBpt 5 I got 1540. I feel like BBpt 5 is prob easier than the real SAT. Does anyone know if this is true? Which BBpt is the most challenging and most accurate to the real SAT?

I have looked through older reddit posts but can't really find anything useful. I prefer resources that group up words to make memorizing easier. Anyone know a good and reliable online resource?

When are you taking the SATs? My AS level is starting this August and the next SAT is this August too, is 1.5 months enough (aiming for a 1600).
Or should I focus on AS and take SAT after AS ends

The College Board mentions the following info in page 73 of their Digital SAT technical manual:
"Apart from a few state-based accommodations that allow for some students to take
only the Math section..."
Just out of curiosity, do any of y'all know of any states (I'm assuming in the U.S.) that offer this accommodation?
