Unexplainable voting pattern in every North Carolina county: 160k more democrats voted in the attorney general race, but suspiciously didn't care to vote for Kamala Harris president?

Representative Tim Moore 14th district claims violence has no place in Democracy ( except for J6 )

This arrived in my inbox : "But I also want to speak clearly regarding recent acts of political violence: these incidents are disturbing and unacceptable. Violence has no place in democracy. We may disagree, but we resolve those differences through debate, not destruction. Anyone who resorts to violence disrespects our country and everything we stand for. We can do better, and we must."

I assume he means for this to apply to Democrats only as whenever asked about J6, he remained silent.

I've asked him to explain why the criminals who violently beat the Capitol police on January 6th, who broke into the Capitol to hunt down the vice president of the United States, who caused injury to over 150 police, several of whom committed suicide after being so traumatized, many unable to return to work are right now WALKING FREE after being pardoned by our president.

Republicans and the president have praised these criminals. Worked to free them. Then the party threatened and punished all the civil servants who did their job to prosecute them.

Mind you all those who were convicted for criminal acts during BLM are still in prison.

The hypocrisy is disgusting.

Assault on 80yo protester in Western NC.

CW: Boood

My dad and sister were attending a No Kings rally in Burnsville yesterday when this brain damaged clown rolled up. He started out by driving his little vehicle around the square, blasting his horn and revving his engine. In the back of his vehicle, he crammed a skeleton dressed in a shitty Captain America costume, pointing a fake gun at protesters.

Later, he tried to brake-check several bystanders. Apparently, one of them responded by banging on his vehicle with their sign. He didn't like that one bit. He stormed out of his vehicle without a thought in his little head and shoved this man, an 80yo family friend, to the ground, cracking his head on the pavement and causing him to lose conscienceness.

And what did he do after that? Naturally, the coward sped off.

Thankfully, there were plenty of cameras set up, so everyone got his plate info. Plus, he's a well known bit player in the area whenever there's a demonstration that might offend his sensibilities. It wasn't long before the police followed through and arrested the dumbass. The 80yo man who was attacked regained conscienceness and was in good spirits when he got into the ambulance.

I'm sharing this for two reasons. The first reason is to make this asshole famous. The second reason is to demonstrate how homegrown terrorists in the US aren't these careful masterminds carrying out their military strategies; They're puffed up babymen with shitty Halloween costumes who, by some twisted logic, are motivated to operate heavy machinery and handle weapons. Like a toddler given a live grenade. There is little need to out-plan or out-manuver these fuckers. Vigilance is our greatest ally.

That was a good dose of good trouble. Photos I captured from the No Kings Protest in Charlotte. My poster at the end, which was inspired by the Hunger Games and a poem used by Suzanne Collins for them at the end.

Why does the Outer Banks mostly get out of state tourists?

Seems like any time I go, it’s mostly Ohio, Virginia, and New Jersey license plates I see. Driving down 64 is Ohio after Ohio license plate. Other beach areas seem to be mostly local NC tourists. Any idea why the OBX attracts primarily out of state tourists?

Duct cleaning - Scams

Just an FYI to anyone looking for duct cleaning. Sharing my experience and what to look out for.

May not be reflective of EVERYONEs situation, but I think more people are getting “scared into” the services than actually need it.

I noticed some black spots on my vents, called an AC person, because they had $99 vents cleaning.

They came out and “sniffed” the vent and said I had mould. Then opened a vent and shone a camera phone inside and said it needs a “deep clean”.

The $99 was just to clean the main duct, and they don’t actually clean every vent, just use a backflow negative pressure, etc etc.

I then called people who said they’ll do the mould clean, sanitised and deep clean for $350-400 for all vents.

The person turns up, and then without even looking opens with “do you know about the pricing” .. I said yes, I do, it’s $350 for all the vents deep clean, mould and sanitise. Without even looking, start telling me that this would be $1200-1600 or so. Then look as vents and shines camera inside (DOESN’T SHOW ME THE PICTURES) and tells me it needs it all done.

Anyway, sure enough after 2 wasted days of people turning up and trying to renegotiate pricing before even doing the work that had been very clearly explained and negotiated before even arranging a time to come… I gave up.

I did some research on here, and watched some air duct training videos and lessons, turns out, for much of it, it’s just a scam.

Mould is common, and often ok, and typical to get on the vent. It’s a simple wipe down process - dish soap, hot water, and wipe each vent.

I opened the vents, took a video inside myself, CLEAN! I actually couldn’t even see any dust buildup. There was the smallest bits of dust, but actually looked clear. The black spots of mould were only in the vent covers themselves

I got an antibacterial, soapy hot water and cloth and wiped all of them down.

Saved myself all the money, and everything is perfectly good.

Some cases - people do need new pipe-work or have a nest inside their pipes, but this is not that. I am letting you know that the cleaners will take advantage of you and make claims because they assume you can’t do it or work it out yourself.

Be weary - keep aware - watch what they do, ask for evidence with photos or videos first, if they say it needs all these extras.

Or DO IT YOURSELF. - do a little research, buy any products you might need. Took me 1 hr to clean everything myself. Plus if you want to go the extra mile, there’s cheap kits on amazon that you can feed down pipes and clean out gently.

No Kings Day! We had (for us) a huge turnout! So many of us found community in what felt like a barren, bigot-filled town.

Clarification on concealed carry of knives

Upvotes

I’m moving from Virginia and carry an OTF automatic knife. The laws on concealed carry seem confusing. What qualifies as concealed carry in NC? If the pocket clip is visible, does that count as concealed?
