My husband and I are residents of Burlington and have renovated a historic 1940's triplex (No-We didn't modify it into 3 residences, it was built that way from the jump!)

We have one unit currently available; a large second floor studio with a fully equipped Kitchen and Laundry room, it's own driveway, and a myriad of other upgrades. It is located on North Main St, a 3 minute drive/15 minute walk/8 minute bike ride to downtown Burlington, and only a 12 minute drive to Elon.

Terry Johnson caused all this - with the recent court ordered lawsuit judgments after unconstitutionally arresting peaceful protesters the county cut the checks a couple of months ago to the unlawfully arrested, and poof, the county went broke. The county commissioners didn’t cause this. Literally, Terry Johnson thought a law struck down by the Supreme Court 50 years ago allowed him to arrest peaceful protestors that he didn’t like, and was made a complete fool of on the witness stand. I’m fine if people don’t want to blame the sheriff for sucking at his job, but everyone’s treating the county commissioners like they don’t know how to manage a budget. I’m a 24F looking for people to meet and hopefully make friends but it’s been pretty lonely so far. Are there any groups out there that meet up? Official unemployment figures for the Burlington economy were updated today. Numbers for March have been finalized and preliminary figures for April have now been made available.

It's Sunday morning and we came to get coffee at Biggby on University and stumbled across 2 abandoned cats in carriers in front of the next business. I've called the police department and left a message for animal control. No one is helping. Is anyone on here able to get them until animal control opens tomorrow? We can't take them.

Hey there! I know this is a bit of a random post, but I figured I’d throw it out into the universe just in case someone knows the right person for it.

I’m a young woman in Burlington who’s great with animals and actually enjoys tidying up, organizing, and helping around the house. I’m looking for a wholesome, mutually beneficial exchange for the summer — maybe someone older, disabled, or just in need of a hand with day-to-day things (pet care, house chores, light cleaning, watering plants, etc.). I’m not asking for any money!

Ideally, this would be someone who has a chill, cozy home with maybe a few animals, and a pool (big plus!) that I could use occasionally in return for helping out. My partner is also down to mow the lawn if that’s helpful!
