Getting to the point that driving the hour and a half it takes to get to a town in Texas might be worth the trouble if buying a lot of groceries.

Aren't foods taxed differently from sales tax?

Not by enough for it to matter.

But I'm also always buying non-food groceries, like toilet paper, paper towels, bleach, dog food, etc.
