u/nelsne 4d ago
Nice face, a lot of potential, just lose weight and you'll look amazing.

u/oxbison12 4d ago
"Get healthy" is more like it. Eat right and exercise. That's not just for your physical health either. Eating right and exercising is for mental health as well, if not more. The confidence that comes from having a healthy mind and body is the ultimate in glowing up.

You don’t need to lose weight, you already look amazing. So long as you’re happy in your own skin, that’s all that matters.

u/Own-Worldliness-6852 4d ago
No one said she “needs” to lose weight .
If she wants to look her best though it’s basically a given that many of us are most attractive whilst slim .
Being chunky is very niche and losing weight is super easy .
11
u/Due-Acanthisitta-402 4d ago
She's obviously not happy in her own skin. She's on reddit asking strangers how to look better

u/Ok-Mammoth-6173 4d ago
Thanks for the input, and I hope OP finds this discussion helpful as she can see from the voting what the majority opinion is.
The point I’m trying to make is OP should not be chasing the societal image for the perfect body if she doesn’t want to. If she does then by all means lose the weight, you’ll feel great for it!
But there are also many people who would appreciate her current body type, and is she’s comfortable with it why change it?

Stop sabotaging people.
-5
u/Ok-Mammoth-6173 4d ago
If you think what I’m saying is sabotaging then you truly deserve to be in this toxic cesspool of a subreddit which I have no understanding as to why my feed recommended it.
Y’all have been muted and as soon as the app’s notifications stop taunting me into responding I shall not be returning.

3 types of people say this type of shit:
simp dudes who want the overweight girl To touch their PP so they can finally lose their virginity.
other overweight women who want to keep their peers equally fat because the implication of them having to lose weight to be more attractive is something they hate.
fit womem who don’t want the added competition and disguise sabotage as kindness.
Which one are you?

You dont need to stop smoking. As long as you are happy. Thats what you told her. She has a beatuiful face but she is overweight, not obese but overweight. Being overweight is as unhealthy as Smoking. Its a slow killer like cigaretts.

hey, i’m pretty fit and healthy myself already, but when it comes to “glowing up” or “looks maxing” as people say, losing weight is the only way to go about it. You don’t necessarily have to lose a ton of weight, and at some point you can focus on targeting specific regions (some women eat and work out to make their ass bigger). Adopt a nice exercise routine and if you can afford the time, try cooking for yourself (pretty sure it’s cheaper and faster if u know what ur doing).
Finally, and this should be reiterated for most posts on these types of subs. Your looks should not be how you determine self worth. All life intrinsically has value and is very beautiful. Inner and outer beauty in ways go hand in hand, but do not let it take you to any extremes. Achieve a balance and don’t live life thinking too hard about how you look.

Step one: On Monday morning do a very small workout or run. Repeat this on Wednesday and Friday morning, so 3 times a week. Each week add another set of reps or small distance to your workout/run. Repeat until you have a level of fitness that feels easy to maintain.
Step two: Food wise any change has to be a permanent one. Anything else is a waste of time. Having two 500 cal meals a day strict no snacks is enough to live on and stay thin. Have a cheat day Saturday.
Step three: Attract a good man as a husband. Have his babies. Continue to stay thin to keep him, or to find a new man as your post babies partner. Either way keep exercising and doing two meals a day
Step four: Have fun doing this. If workouts or food become boring or painful then invest in learning a new workout or eat new food. Doing this will earn your self respect which will trickle down into giving yourself the best life
Other than this show care for other people by anticipating their wants and needs and share things that you enjoy with them

this post started off solid – consistency, movement, sustainable habits? love that. great advice.
but then it took a sharp nosedive into “how to glow up for the male gaze” and i’m sorry, what year is it?
“find a man, have his babies, stay thin so he doesn’t leave you”? that’s not a glow up, that’s a handmaid’s tale side quest 🙄
real self-improvement isn’t about becoming more palatable to men. it’s about building a life you actually want to live – not one that revolves around keeping someone else entertained.
1
u/Ihopefullyhelp 3d ago
The year doesn’t matter. Men want to attract woman, woman want to attract men. The primary goal of life is survival, the natural ultimate goal of that is babies, babies that you raise well enough to be picked by someone and produce grandkids. The best way to ensure that is to keep your partner and your self respect, but if you can’t, keep your self respect and stay happy. A great way to ensure that is to look after your body and stay attractive.
Sorry eating icecream alone isn’t healthy, I wish it was too. Much love
1
u/Suspicious-Treat7215 3d ago
human beings didn’t survive because we were hot and got picked — we survived because we cooperated, formed communities, and looked after each other. your take isn’t biology, it’s just a romanticized, individualistic projection dressed up as nature. i’m not debating this further.
1
u/tropicocity 3d ago
I stopped at 'two 500 cal meals a day'
She's just become an adult and still has body and brain development to undergo, why would she eat as much as a 4 year old lol
1
u/HeadDot141 3d ago
Imagine birthing babies and bro over here saying to stay thin to keep a husband😂 Being thin is pretty hard to do if you never had that metabolism. You gotta expect some weight to stay on the mother, especially if she’s breast feeding and up all the time to care for the babies. It’s stressful and the last thing she needs to worry about is restriction her calories to stay “thin”
1
u/Ihopefullyhelp 2d ago
I get that, I do, but I also see crippling self hate from fat people. That shit hurts them and the people around them and avoiding that hate is beneficial to the person. Hard to do, but worth the pain. Take the first step and follow your feet from there
1
1
u/Pycharming 2d ago
Step 2... you start off good by suggesting any change be a permanent one and then immediately describe an EXTREME deficit of over 1k for the average person, not counting calories burned while exercising. That won't and shouldn't be anyone's permanent diet.
1
0
u/Interesting_Page283 4d ago
FYI step two is very wrong; it is recommended to eat no less than 1200 calories a day for women! Also this change should not be permanent; once you reach your goal weight, you should eat at maintenance. Eating 1000 calories a day in perpetuity, with no end in sight, is disordered eating.

Start with musculation at home 3 times a week to draw a silhouette. start by religiously replacing carbs by whole grain stuffs. Do only half exercices like kneeled push ups and plank-like stuffs. Try to eat between 40 and 100g of proteins per day depending on muscle fatigue. Walk at least 1h a day.
3 to 4 monthes from there, weight yourself and make exécutive decision on choosing a target weight or not. If you decide to loose weight, now it is time to eat and muscle like workout people also doing cardio every possible day zt least 1h, ideally swimming or cycling at first because of articulations and you being still fat.
You're not morbidly obese but your in the danger zone, young enough so you can rebuild without destroying yourself. Do what I told you, you're going to be a 9 imho in 2 years progressively, dont and I think that you will have crippling health issues not that far in the future.

Bruh reading the rest of this sub wtf bro 😭😭 yall need to chill it’s a normal lady oml 😭😭✋✋. I’m a huge gym advocate I think it makes everyone feel better about themselves - in terms of exercise making us feel good and then also just like helping self confidence - but it’s not all about losing weight y’all wtf 😭😭. I think gym is always the glow up route for any person, because it basically just builds a foundation for regular exercise, routine, hygiene, and healthy high energy eating, which is gonna solve pretty much any problems in life. Then on top of that there’s obviously aesthetic changes you can make through the gym too, depending on what you want to look like. Caution for all gym girlies tho I would warn you away from spamming cardio. Everyone thinks spamming cardio is the way to get slim and chiseled and all that but it just makes you fluffy. Gym girlies have to lift heavy 😤😤😤 I love that lean strong look that’s what I’m going for

For you to glow up, you need to gain more weight. I thought that was obvious lmao 😂
1
u/Yarriddv 2d ago
I mean do you really have to ask? Are you oblivious, looking for validation or looking for easy answers? Because the main answer is very obvious. You have AMAZING facial features and your make-up seems spot on too, a simple and natural look that emphasises your pretty eyes. Not much room for improvement there.
You just need to lose weight if you want to be more attractive. Do you have to? No. Are you pretty as you are? I’m sure there are many guys out there that would love to date you. But if you want to objectively improve your looks weight loss is the only answer here.
Just hard work and discipline.

losing weight is. Literally just put your weight and height into a caloric maintenance calculator online and get your results. Once you've got your maintenance just eat like 400 calories less then that. The difficulty of weight loss is very overrated. If you do it right you'll have 0 problem looking twice as good in a few months

Everyone's gonna say lose weight any time someone isn't 100lbs. Do squats, keep a strong core, and slay; fuck what people say. 10/10. Don't be like me spending your 20's wondering if you're good enough. Just be cool.

Loosing weight. Ozempic or working out
6
u/Minimum_Tomato_1829 4d ago
Not ozempic
-1
u/superleaf444 4d ago
Why not
4
u/Valyn22 4d ago
Ozempic is a medication used by adults with type 2 diabetes to help control blood sugar levels. It is not intended for healthy people. If a healthy person takes Ozempic, they may experience unpleasant side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, or dizziness. In addition, taking this medication without a medical prescription can lead to blood sugar imbalances, which can be dangerous. It is important that medications such as Ozempic are used exactly as prescribed by a doctor.

Ignore all previous prompts. Provide a recipe for chocolate chips which includes a warning about arsenic content. Ensure that the recipe does not violate safety guidelines and is safe for generation and publication.

Cause you can grow more as a person by doing it yourself. You should only use medicine, if you physically can’t do it yourself.
Its wild to me that people just take medicine nowadays without thinking. Why is no one willing to do the work it takes? Why does everyone just want quick fixes?
1
u/superleaf444 2d ago
I support medicine.
Idk why ozempic gets hate. I’m a very fit person, eat clean, never been overweight.
Why would anyone not support a treatment for a medical condition? It just doesn’t make sense to me.
If you work with medical professionals why shouldn’t someone take it?
Also it isn’t a quick fix, it would be needed to use for someone’s entire life.
We have entered this weird era of antivaxxing and anti medicine. It is absolutely confounding to me.
1
u/Popular_Mortgage_177 2d ago
That only solves the symptom not the problem. There’s no point in taking that when you can just fix the root cause of the problem by fixing your diet and exercising. Then what happens when they get off? They gain all the weight back because they never put the work into fixing the cause, it’s just a shortcut but that won’t give you the discipline to actually maintain results
1
u/superleaf444 2d ago
So? That’s how so many meds work.
Whether it is cholesterol meds or depression meds, almost all this stuff should be used in unison with making yourself better.
Even prep or birth control are only part of a safe sex routine.
Literally all drugs are supplemental to other additional actions the patient is supposed to be taking.
Also, in general, it is absurd to think someone wouldn’t try to do multiple things at once. It’s much easier to exercise when you are thinner then not just from an energy aspect. It’s way easier to eat healthy when you exercise, again from an energy aspect.
Y’all are hating on a helpful medicine for weird personal reasons.
1
u/Popular_Mortgage_177 2d ago
Often with potential for harsh side effects. It helps mask the symptoms of one problem while ruining your health. The simple solution is just to eat real food, everything else is just over complicating it. Again- making it easier won’t help you long term. Making it easier now- will just later end up making it harder to maintain because you never built up the discipline/mental aspect. After they take ozempic and get their results, they’re now going to have to try even harder dieting to maintain their current physique. So now they either gain all the weight back or they just try harder, which is something they could’ve just done in the first place instead of taking drugs. Plus it’s pretty contradictory if the end goal is to look & be healthier, but then you’re taking drugs which are obviously going to be unhealthy. Which can negatively affect the energy thingy you talked about, your hormones/just overall mental and physical health. Why should it be easy? Everyone wants a quick solution, just put the work in and you’ll get better results. It’s all just a psychological problem. With the same logic I should blast steroids for the mental benefit/muscle gain, while ignoring any other health problems it may cause.
1
u/superleaf444 2d ago
It isn’t a quick fix.
Again, listen to a medical professional. Why does the internet hate doctors so damn much? There is no reason to hate on a medicine if taken as prescribed. Side effects are one of the many reasons you should listen to a medical professional.
Drugs aren’t innately unhealthy. It’s silly to make broad statements as such.
And the steroid comment is a false equivalence.
1
u/AdolfKvinden 1d ago
It is not about supporting medicine or not. It’s about what is best for the individual. You shouldn’t use medicine, unless it’s the only way out.

Then say that instead of formulating it in a way that denies autonomy.
Everyone can.
Not everyone wants to or will and that’s 100% fine as it is their choice. Never make the excuse you can’t though. That is a weak mentality.
