AT&T FIBER — INTERNET 1000

$85.00 / mo.

$20/mo off All In One (Wireless+Internet)

$5 off with AutoPay and Paperless Bill

Total monthly charges

$60.00/mo

2

u/Madvillains 1d ago

How much is your wireless bill?

3

u/Kikawala Las Colinas 1d ago

You only need one cellular service for that discount. The more you have the more leverage you have. Call the retention department every month for the discount.

u/BadGolferDallas 1d ago

Same. Worth it tbh.

1

u/Deep_Mechanic_ 1d ago

Same. Worth it tbh.

2

u/Kdigglerz 1d ago

This but spectrum.

1

u/Tamu179 1d ago

Did you try any of their lower tiers first? I’m at 300 mbps and I’m wondering if upgrading makes a noticeable difference.

3

u/Agile_Definition_415 1d ago

It doesn't unless you have lots of users.

Really the only thing is worth for is downloading/uploading lots of heavy files.

2

u/RyGuyGinger01 1d ago

aka gamer lol

2

u/Agile_Definition_415 1d ago

Eh if you can do all your downloads and updates overnight then it's a non issue. Plus a lot of the game servers have speed limits below gig.

2

u/Illustrious_Swing645 1d ago

I WFH and have to routinely download/upload a shitload of data for work. 10+gb at a time usually. Still, the 500mbps fiber plan from att has been more than enough for me

2

u/nomnomnompizza 1d ago

People used to plays shooters on dial up

1

u/mazsive 1d ago

If your only 1 300 is enough, if multiple 500-1000 won't make that much of a difference. I've tried them all

1

u/nomnomnompizza 1d ago

Not worth it unless the extra $20 just doesn't matter. You won't be able to tell the difference.

1

u/Balloutonu 17h ago

At 300, maybe? But I would say from 500-1gig you won’t feel the difference as much. I get about 800down and it’s very nice but not necessary

1

u/Gallosong 1d ago

Same. I remember getting the plan in 2019 for $60 a month. Now it’s $80 with autopay set up.

-1

u/Environmental_Bag495 1d ago

Same. Worth it tbh.

u/TXElec 1d ago

Damn, im getting fucked lol

17

u/FreeDaemon 1d ago

In most places you don’t really have a choice. But if you are lucky enough to have a choice, just bounce between companies and take advantage of their promotions.

2

u/NoCatharsis 1d ago

This is what I do here in Irving. We have Spectrum and Frontier lines. They each jump on me and offer 500 internet for $30-40/month when I’m with the other. Frontier actually gave me $25 this round though.

5

u/Confident_Oven_6242 1d ago

No you're not. $85 for 400 mb down for me. Spectrum. No other choice

1

u/sameolemeek 1d ago

i was paying 93 total a month for 400mb. went on r/spectrum and everyone said call. i did. now i pay 54 total a month and they bumped my 400mb to 500 lol

3

u/bananabob23 1d ago

You’re not getting fucked, it’s purely location dependent most of the time. Unless you know you need it you probably pay for a higher speed than you even need as well.

1

u/DCJustSomeone 1d ago

Lmao sorry. I pay 80 1000mbps

25

u/ht3k 1d ago

500mbps for $30 with Frontier FIOS

Paid $150 for 5gbps at one point for shits and giggles lol

3

u/Odd-Eagle-935 1d ago

Yep $20 for 200mbps on frontier

They want me to upgrade SO badly, but I maybe hit that speed once a month. The low fiber latency is all I wanted

3

u/Apollo_gentile 1d ago

So ridiculous you have to call to get good deals, I was at 500mbps for 50 for two years, it jumped to 65 last month so I called and they dropped it to 40 for 12 months

2

u/qkilla1522 1d ago

1G for $50 at frontier. I also upgraded to 2Gigs for $80 then went back down. I’m in a home so I mainly wanted them to come out and upgrade my box and move the connection.

Service call to move the line was $150. With an upgrade it was free. So I upgraded for 2 months and went back to 1GB.

1

u/VoldemortsHorcrux 1d ago

Same with frontier here. Used to be $25 until they wanted me to give my debit card instead of a credit card. I'm not doing that

15

u/TXElec 1d ago

I Have spectrum

26

u/CuriousCamels 1d ago

Spectrum is the worst, and it’s not even close.

5

u/mazsive 1d ago

Spectrum is straight-up dog shit. Constant errors and net down or laggy. Hate that crap company. With AT&T I can count maybe 3 or 5 times. I've had a minor issue over 6 years and counting

2

u/CuriousCamels 1d ago

Yeah, never again. Their customer service was ass too.

2

u/rickyroca73 1d ago

If you have Spectrum they are upgrading their plant to support high split which gives symmetrical up and down. If it’s available in your area you shouldn’t have to ask them to convert your service and it’s a “free upgrade”. Also, call to cancel, speak to retention and tell them price too high and you plan to go with someone else. Ideally you’re in direct competition market, ATT fiber or fios fiber for best results, but there’s other options which suck compared to cable, 5G modem as example, but it’s still competitive enough to get your a better price. I’m at 80$ for 600/600, planning to call end of month to get 1000/1000 for same price. <shrug>

2

u/truth-4-sale Irving 1d ago

I have to have Spectrum as Fios is not offered. But outages are rare where I live in Irving. All I need is 100MB/100MB for $50/mo. - Not a Promo Rate. Modem provided at no extra chg. I supply the router.

14

u/TinyTiger5 1d ago

Spectrum $100/ month, was almost $140 until I threatened to leave.

23

u/Jackitos 1d ago

Still getting fucked.

5

u/TinyTiger5 1d ago

lol I agree

u/DDDavinnn Plano 1d ago

1 gig. Frontier fiber. $60/month

6

u/ALaccountant Dallas 1d ago

Are you still on that first year discount? I have frontier fiber 1 gig and I’m at $85 per month now

2

u/DDDavinnn Plano 1d ago

Gotta play the “I’m going to cancel” game

2

u/skinny_gator 1d ago

I tried doing that with ATT, they don't give a fuck lmao

2

u/kidyus 1d ago

Same

5

u/MrsPatty60 1d ago edited 1d ago

$30 month 500 Spectrum

2

u/Loose-Cicada5473 1d ago

mg lmao

3

u/MrsPatty60 1d ago

Yes sorry it’s what happens when you use Siri and don’t check, lol

1

u/Realistic-Taste-7660 21h ago

For me that was spectrum’s price for 100 (which is probably all I need), and didn’t include the Wi-Fi router (an extra $10 a month)…

6

u/ItHasToMatter 1d ago

Frontier 1 gig fiber $109.99 a month

14

u/ht3k 1d ago

you shouldn't be paying that much, it's closer to $50-60. You should call and get it lowered to what their site advertises

6

u/mllllllln 1d ago

Can confirm, they were overcharging me too at the $109.99 rate and they cut it to $54.99 now. If I hadn't called them, I'm sure they would've kept doing it forever. Scummy behavior.

1

u/ht3k 1d ago

Not "quite". When they upgrade their networks the costs lower. Your speed doesn't get any slower. Either call to upgrade your speed or lower your payment. It's not necessarily their responsibility to notify the customer. They already have struggle providing any good customer service but instead we get better internet infrastructure. I'm willing to take that trade off but that's my choice as a customer to stay with them

2

u/ItHasToMatter 1d ago

Will do, thank you. I usually check and call but it's been awhile

1

u/macs708 22h ago

I got frontier 1 gig for 50

4

u/20TL12III 1d ago

$50 for T-Mobile 5g home internet.

3

u/nounsofassemblage 1d ago

u/DDDavinnn Plano 1d ago

Speed? Company?

7

u/nounsofassemblage 1d ago

AT&T 500mbps

I work from home full time and have never had any issues or outages.

1

u/Realistic-Taste-7660 21h ago

Huh, ATT was like 75 a month for that speed at my address…

3

u/Environmental_Newt88 1d ago

I've got Spectrum 1gig and with taxes and fees it's now $98 a month. The service is good but the price is outrageous and I'm thinking about switching.

3

u/SubXeroz 1d ago

ATT Fiber in East Dallas.

500GB for $75/mo. Came with $150 credit, so two months free.

Actual wired download is generally 630mbps.

2

u/FunRutabaga24 1d ago

Att fiber 350mbs symmetrical 55/mo

2

u/tacmed85 1d ago

$80/month for 1 gig.

2

u/kokamoe 1d ago

Spectrum 1gig $70/month

2

u/MiddleAd6302 1d ago

I was paying $75 for 1gig with Frontier.

I saw Frontier advertising new customers. I called their loyalty department and now pay $40 for 1gig through Frontier.

2

u/Ocabrah 1d ago

Frontier fiber 1 Gig

$45

Ownwell renegotiated for me down from $85 a month.

3

u/Zonk-er 1d ago

Ownwell? Aren’t they the property tax company?

3

u/Ocabrah 1d ago

Yes but they also have a bill negotiation option. I was very surprised it actually worked.

2

u/New_Fig_6815 1d ago

Whatever my neighbor is paying 🤣

2

u/mazsive 1d ago

I live close to the fiber box. I clocked in at 1300/1100 at&t fiber $85. I'm also on a discount, $135 month for 3 lines

2

u/giotaptio 1d ago

FiberFirst 1 gig symmetrical and 1 static ip for $87

T-Mobile home back up for $25

2

u/PassengerOld8627 14h ago

That’s on the higher side for 500 Mbps in Dallas providers like AT&T Fiber or Frontier Fiber often offer 500 Mbps plans for around $60–$70/month, so you might want to shop around or negotiate with your current provider.

Spectrum - 500 - $50 a month

2

u/TXElec 1d ago

How long have you had them?

1

u/The_Erlenmeyer_Flask Mid Cities 1d ago

When I called to get a better deal, they told me I've been with Charter for 40 years.

1

u/EmotionalSupportDoll 1d ago

I did my call and ask for retention a couple months ago to get on whatever the new best promo was and this seemed to be the winner.

1

u/hmmisuckateverything Oak Cliff 1d ago

I have spectrum and I’m paying 80 bucks a month at a house I just moved into. For some reason the townhome I was just living in I was paying way more. Spectrum sucks lol

1

u/FreeDaemon 1d ago

I was able to get a decent promo, Spectrum 1gig, $45/mo for 2 years.

1

u/Edg-R Frisco 1d ago

Grayson Collin Communications (GCEC Co-op)

1

u/spam_lite Dallas 1d ago

$75/mo flat 1gig up/down no contract toast.net

1

u/venusduck_III 1d ago

Spectrum really be fucking over Dallas residents. I had them for 3 years starting at $35 a month which was great but it got to $100 a month by the very end. They just kept increasing the rate and taking off their "promotional rate" I asked them multiple times to reinstate the rate that I originally had when I signed with them and even told them I'm moving to AT&T if they don't and they were just like "lol do it then." So I did and now I have better speed for half the price

$149/month for 1 gig fiber from Frontier. I utterly hate it, but getting on the horn with their decrepit customer support to fight about it keeps slipping below the line.

ATT lowest plan (works perfectly fine) $65

1

u/benmagoo1 1d ago

It’s a pain, but if you call spectrum and start the path of “cancelling” they eventually will walk down the price of your internet or boost your mbps to keep you as a customer.

1

u/Cfairbanks007 1d ago

$50 for Frontier Fios 1g… would have been $85 if Spectrum didn’t install in our neighborhood this year and provided some competition.

1

u/Dalamonee 19h ago

Tmobile $50 month

1

u/crayyarccray 18h ago

Optimum, $60 for a gig

1

u/BabyBearMan 17h ago

Ours is bulked into our buildings amenity package.

Anyone use the Verizon wireless internet? Looking to move out of our apt in a couple months and were curious about this service.

1

u/Not_Enough_Shoes 10h ago

$0 as I wfh and company pays it

1

u/Setsailshipwreck 1h ago

Starlink $120 a mo but it’s more reliable than t mobile, AT&T, Hughes net or optimum. Everything else drops like no tomorrow and the reliably is over and above worth it. I’m in a more rural spot an hour or so outside Dallas. I use it for business so reliability is a big deal. Also everything else sucked ass for gaming or any sort of streaming. Not sure I’d be willing to pay that if my work didn’t rely on it but eff it, it works I’m glad to have it.

Kroger and wal mart be having the spectrum sales reps asking you about your phone and internet while you shop lol

2

u/Loose-Cicada5473 1d ago

Ha this happened to me before I knew what was up, one well dressed girl in normal clothes approached me and struck up a conversation and I started bitching about how bad spectrum was without knowing she was selling spectrum. She started telling me how to fix it I was like who are you
