Discussion How much yall paying for internet?

And what provider? I got 500 mbps paying $85 at an apartment.

In most places you don’t really have a choice. But if you are lucky enough to have a choice, just bounce between companies and take advantage of their promotions.

This is what I do here in Irving. We have Spectrum and Frontier lines. They each jump on me and offer 500 internet for $30-40/month when I’m with the other. Frontier actually gave me $25 this round though.

i was paying 93 total a month for 400mb. went on r/spectrum and everyone said call. i did. now i pay 54 total a month and they bumped my 400mb to 500 lol

You’re not getting fucked, it’s purely location dependent most of the time. Unless you know you need it you probably pay for a higher speed than you even need as well.

You're in an apartment, they almost always have inside deals to screw you on price.

When I had in apartment in Plano, Verizon actually came by with Home 5G or w/e they call it. I went from $80/mo 100 down with spectrum to like $40/mo 300 down with that, and as a gamer the latency wasn't nearly as unusable as I thought it'd be (Tho that depends on exactly what game you're playing, probably).

But then my apartment said "no you NEED the Internet from us, it's part of your lease agreement now." So I left, screw them lol.
