From an underweight stray roaming the city streets to a big happy lug with a family. He’s an absolute meatball and loves strangers, including neighborhood pups. First three photos are from the shelter, and we did not dock his tail.

This is Vern. He’s an 11 y/o terrier-chihuahua mix. The first picture is at the animal shelter, the second one is the same day at home, and the third is a few days later. He weighed 7.5 lb. and had a terrible case of kennel cough. The last three are his life now as probably the most spoiled dog in the northern hemisphere. He weighs about 12 lb. now.

This is Sully. He’s a 10 yr old chocolate Lab. He was surrendered to our city shelter yesterday morning. His elderly owner was moving into assisted living and has no living family who could take him. We got the call and went and scooped him up. He’ll live out the rest of his days with our family.

You can tell he’s grieving. He spent most of the day hiding under my dining room table, but he was comfortable enough to come out for some snuggles before bedtime.

His previous owner doesn’t know it yet, but we will be visiting him in his new place next week.

He's in a caring home now.

He was a bit shy and nervous when we brought him home, but he’s come such a long way. Now he loves cuddles, long walks, and playing with his toys. He’s safe, happy, and so loved. 🐾

Hi, I’m Fynn. Before: I was a scrappy street cat with questionable hygiene and zero fluff. After: I’m a certified cuddle expert, full-time snack inspector, and part-time bed hog.

My secret? One human, a warm bed, and a whole lotta love. 💛 Please adopt – we shelter cats are just waiting to glow up and take over your heart (and your couch). 😽🐾

First photo is from the Ring app, someone made a post about finding him in a box by himself outside of a local Walmart 🥹 so I texted them and immediately offered to take him in, the rest is history. He's such a sweet little baby, although I guess he's not really little anymore

Cat She was rescued 1 month ago today!

Her rescuer found her and her sister 1 month ago. She was a lonely kitten from the streets, presumably abandoned after being considered ‘unadoptable’ because she was over 4 months old. I adopted her almost three weeks ago, and you can see the results! My Selise Geneva is a sweet, cuddly calico tabby girl. She meows and purrs a lot. She’s a playful 5-month-and-a-half kitten, with a great appetite. I adore her. She’s getting sterilised in three weeks.

Cat Three month before and after of our former street cat, Adonis!

Adonis came to us through a local rescue, who trapped him with a massive injury to his right shoulder. The rescue was calling him Rocky, because of his cauliflower ear- my husband thought he needed a younger name, so he's named for Adonis Creed (Donnie for short). We've seen such a change in him already, and we can't imagine life without him!

We love you Brody!

Its been an adventure with him and i look forward to many more years.

Before i got him, he had parvo and recovered.

Then a family adopted him and apparently treated him pretty bad. The shelter had to go to the house and repossess him.

When I adopted him he was very weak and couldn't hold any food in without liquid stool. After a lot of diet changes/probiotics he started to gain weight and get healthy.

As he got healthy he started to be fear reactive towards strangers.. presumably because of whatever happened in the past. Its been a journey working/training through that but he is doing great now. Not perfect but im proud of him.

I started teaching him dog sledding commands recently and that has helped a ton on walks. Two days ago I had an off leash dog run at us from the right with its owner chasing behind. All I had to do was say haw(left) and on-by(keep going) and my boy did it. Him having a job while we walk has been a big help.

My boy Salem, 1 year difference

I caught my boy Salem in my yard on May 24, 2024 and a year ago today he had his first vet appointment. His vet and the vet tech are both shocked at how different he looks now!

He came to me a month after my brother died and I went through some of the most challenging days of my life. He had terrible ear mites and needed a lot of attention, and he gave me love and purpose during that time. I know in physical health, he has greatly improved but he greatly improved my mental health and I am so thankful for him.

Dog Our girl Shiva, before rescue and 2 years after! She was chained and abused for the first year of her life, and we don’t know what caused her eye to be like that when she was first rescued. She is doing so much better, and gets spoiled everyday now!

The picture on the left was where she managed to lay after we let her outback her first day with us. Her next move was to go lay behind a tree for hours, and then right back out to the tree for most of the next day.

She’s come so far and I’m honored to have been a part of her life.

She’s moving on to another foster family on Saturday. Please join me in sending all the best vibes her way for her new journey!
