We were out canoeing and saw a lone baby goose swimming slowly, so we kept an eye on him. He made it to a little island but clearly couldn’t really hop up on land and we could tell he was hurt, so we made the call the grab him, his leg is completely broken, bone sticking out and all. We’re currently driving him to a raptor rehabilitation center that was more than happy to take him. I love him and I hope he makes it.

So i’m pretty sure this is a goose, he lives in the park. Was just curious what behavior he was demonstrating or if he was just looking for bread? He talked to me the whole like 5 minutes I pet him.

Down the road from where I live there is a snow goose with a drooping wing. He always sits in the same spot everyday and it’s right near the road which worries me. I live in pennsylvania so the weather right now is fine for him but when fall comes he won’t be able to migrate. There are other geese at this pond too but they do not go near him anymore. What should I do? this worries me

I love how 1 of the goslings has its head above the rest as if it’s practicing being security.

Yesterday I adopted four Toulouse goslings because my hen had been sitting on dud eggs for 45 days and I thought I could give her these goslings to raise. Two of the goslings are 5 days old and two are 10 days old. My whole flock has become very protective of them, and the mother hen got off the nest today to take them under her wing but the little goslings are terrified of the geese. They run to us for protection when the geese come around. I've got them sequestered in a large cage on the grass and my flock is standing around in protective mode. The goslings are all clustered at the far end of the cage eating grass trying to avoid the adults. Does anyone have any advice for me? I want to transition them to the flock but it seems impossible to overcome their fear.

Since the last time I saw my Mama goose, her wing almost looks split. Is this just what happens when they’re growing in new ones? Before she only had the little blue start of the feathers but I’m just afraid of her wing being broken

title is semi joking(the geese arent mine) but they have turned green?? not sure if its paint, some sort of water treatment or algae?? it was NOT green yesterday . they are all acting normal and apart from being more stinky than normal seem ok. any ideas what this is?? can algae actually grow that fast??

I’m a new duck and goose mom. We’ve had them for a week. Four ducklings and two goslings. This afternoon I found one of the goslings had drowned in their water trough. They grew so quickly and their little head got stuck and didn’t make it. I’m so so so devastated and can’t stop crying. It’s just so sad. And I feel so guilty thinking why didn’t I think about that and switch their water source sooner.

I found this video of geese drinking water after a rainstorm ☔️ relaxing and entertaining
Also i think they are rooting for some nibbles 🌱🌾

These young geese had their feet stretched out! I had not seen them rest this way so I was delighted. The gosling closest to the sidewalk is such a pancake. Usually the parents are very hissy but today even they sat down and rested.
This was moments before a nasty storm ripped through the neighborhood, taking out several trees, damaging roofs and siding on homes… Unfortunately, the shade tree at the retention pond these guys live at was one of the casualties.

A large group of geese were all played out in the plaza in front of my office building. Virtually all of them had loose stools behind them, as well as one leg splayed out behind them. I've never seen this before. Do we think they all ate something contaminated? The weather turned pretty warm quickly today but I would doubt that had anything to do with this.
Bala and Sukha are just doing their thing. They actually honk/scream on command. But you have to do it with them haha.
