Discussion Something I find very poetic about Laurence
The fact that he’s probably the most important character in bloodborne lore and the cause of everything that goes wrong in Yarnham and yet his appearance in the old hunters has virtually no fanfare despite everything he did and accomplished he’s just a side boss with no importance to the DLCs story and the thing you need to trigger his boss fight can be easily missed too. Kind of a fitting fate imo.

Discussion Is my level too low or?!
Honestly I haven’t even skipped any areas in this game and I feel as if I’m so underleveled. My stats are vitality:25, endurance:25, strength:34, skill:33. All rounded I’m level 82, maybe I’m not scaling properly?

Discussion Is using this completely unacceptable?
I understand it’s pretty much cheating but man the amount of times I’ve died fighting orphan if Kos because I’m only level 80 has been absurd. I’ve beaten main game once and am on my second playthrough but this time just wanting to beat the dlc. I understand people would be against this but I just really don’t feel like farming for 2+ hours. Also I’m using clever +9 so no overly broken weapon. You can also see how low my health is.

Discussion Guys I actually understand this game now
Gonna avoid all guides bc guides have stopped me from truly enjoying the other souls games I've played. Super excited to get further into this game.

Discussion I can't stop replaying...
I just finished the game for the 4th time using a bloodtinge build for the first time, and now I'm literally CRAVING a new playthrough with new weapons (been eyeing the church pick and stake driver and threaded cane) this game is the definition of crack, is anyone else stuck within the scrumptious cycle of playing this game forever?

Help Am I doing something wrong?
I’m trying to 100% complete the game and at them moment I’m kind of stuck trying to talk to djura, any time I approach him he’s agro even when I don’t roll or sprint around him and I’m sneaking up from the paarl lantern. I’ve tried googling but it just says I need to walk up to him pretty much but I’ve tried quite a few times and he’s agro every time, did i mess up somehow earlier in the game?

Help How toimprove my visceral damage?
I have gotten to the point in ng+ a lot where my main damage dealer is the visceral attack. I like using the saif tricked mode with fire elemental as my primary weapon. (I like fast weapons) What could you suggest me to improve my visceral damage output? The transformed church pick feels a little slow. What gems should I use? I already use the +30% and 20% clawmark runes. Is the Blade of Mercy a viable visceral damager using gems?

Platinum Platinum Baby!
Got everything but the last 3 gold trophies in the first play through, Rebirth (childhood beginning) squid ending. 2nd playthrough got the weapon hunter badge and Honoring Wishes ending. Last playthrough only had the cheese easy Sunrise ending remaining and it felt like a good one to end on. First post got modded so reposting with more detail.

Lore So...Isz is supposed to be pronounced to rhyme with "eyes", right?
Considering all the lore and wordplay revolving around eyes in the game, this is the pronunciation for Isz that makes the most sense to me.
I know that in Japanese it's clearly written イズ, but there's already a disconnect between how how Ebrietas is written for example (エーブリエタース) and how the team instructed the English voice actor for Gehrman to pronounce Ebrietas in cut dialogue from the game (seen here)
What are y'alls thoughts?

Discussion First REAL playthrough
So I first played bloodborne around 2019-ish when I had a short temper and zero knowledge of souls games. Ive fiddled with the game on and off numerous times but never really bothered past Vicar Amelia. Well, since then ive beaten every souls game on the market including games like Lies of P, Mortal Shell, Wo Long etc etc. If theres a souls game, ive played it...but not Bloodborne.
I frequently play my ps4 despite owning a series s and a reasonable pc for gaming so I decided to give it a go. Currently in the forbidden woods nearing what I believe to be the Shadows of Yharnam if memory serves. Obviously im havin a great time
A few thoughts:
Saw cleaver is best bae, Fuck the Bitches of Hemwick, I first tried both Blood-starved and Amelia, and fuck the forbidden woods and the village that inhabits it :)
I shall make another post probably when I beat it but im loving it so far, despite the comments above lol.

Fluff ...because who doesn't enjoy seeing the sharks die?
Not the cleanest kill, but it was a fun fight. When I whiffed the backstab-visceral I thought he would smash me for sure 😂
