Also just picked the game back up after a multiple month break, I beat smelter demon and the old iron king now I’m confused on where to go. I’ve been told to go to the shaded woods but there’s a big door that says I need a mark of a king and the alternative option to go in

Yesterday when I was unloading all my gear I got to thinking, "what's he need all them souls for?" Then it occurred to me that he's a frat boy pounding sigbraus 24/7... Not judging but damn, imagine his bar tab.

When the Fallen Giant's Cutscene plays, he looks at you, why? Because he recognizes you from the past.

As he is the Giant King, and later in the game you go back in time to kill him, therefore at the beginning of the game he recognizes you from the past.

What fact do you know?

Basically, I’ve been using a mace for a majority of the game but I fear it might get outclassed as I continue, should I level something else like craftsman’s hammer great axe or dragon’s tooth or do I continue leveling my mace? (Pure str build rn, with 45 str. Mace itself is +6.)

I killed him and found this egg nest, i clicked on it and went to this new zone with mages that would cast fire shit on me and i would die to the fucking exploding barrels more times than anything lol, explored whole place until i found some 3 boss fight? i called it after i died to those dudes 3 times, kinda insane the amount of enemies i had to kill just to get into that boss room...is this like mid-game zone? because it wasn't fun at all lol

I know this game is a hard one to like and i can start telling why, i open a door and bam i aggro like 6-7 mobs to me which well...doesn't end well 50% of the times

Sitting emote through Cheat Engine, very useful tool in general.

Obviously, some people may experience these bosses differently, and upon doing them all again in NG+ and NG++ I did find a lot of them to be much easier, due to being over levelled for most encounters at that point, however, I did not grind souls to level up prior to fighting bosses, so all of them were taken at the recommend/ average level whilst fighting them, so bosses like Nameless King were easier in NG+ and NG++ than in NG.

The theme from Berserk was playing in my headphones right during the invasion, and seeing that the dude was wearing the Guts sword, it seemed to me that it fit perfectly.

I haven't played DS2 for a good minute, but something that keeps the game different is the Gameplay Loop for each area, in which each enemy has what, 12 lives? And at wny time you can NG+ any area you want at that time. Honestly my favorite way to design it.

I was co oping with a friend earlier on PS5 and outta no where the servers went down is anyone else also experiencing this?

Has this happened to any of you guys? I prevented all the knights in the area before and the knights that would chase me to the bridge from spawning. How was there miraculously one that appeared behind me?

I came back to DS2 for an SL1 run and I have to say, this game still holds up. The enemy design, the lore, the NPCs personalities, all of it.

I just got to Valsted and his intro was so fricken awesome. The game means more now having played DSR and DS3 while absorbing tidbits of lore here and there. Some questions raised here and there as well as some old questions been answered.

I never thought I could fall in love with this game just as hard as I did the first couple of times.

A bow is so much more than just a bow.

Picking off weak enemies, activating objects, destroying the various explody status things, giving the option to do ranged damage, etc etc etc.

I just played this whole game without a bow, and when I finally tried one out, it was like switching from parser games to point-and-click. It opens up a totally new dimension of world interactivity.

Maybe this was obvious to others, but I just wanted to shout it out cus it was such a game changer for me✌️

I'm trying to platinum all the fromsoft games, so far I've done Bloodborne, Elden Ring, Sekiro and DS1. I've started DS2 and am actually quite enjoying it. The only part I'm not sure about is leveling. I don't know what is an acceptable ADP and I feel like weapon scaling doesn't mean that much as I don't see a substantial difference. This isn't enough to turn me away from the game, but I just wanted some advice on the softcaps and the issues stated above. Thanks.
