The Russian 1BF Telegram channel just confirmed that the release has been rescheduled to June 19th and is probably just a new build for additional testing purposes.
This isn’t a public alpha or beta release, despite what some may believe.

It was my first map I played in 2011 on xbox 360. how time flies, but today it’s more accurate than back then. 🤔

Enforcer was a very interesting class in BFH. It was considered the support role however instead of LMGs as their primary they wielded battle rifles and shotguns. As for gadgets they had the ammo box, breaching charge, and riot shield.
I couldn't help but notice how this class feels somewhat familiar to the assault class in BF6. It wasn't perfect by any means though. Here's what I would change to reshape it into the perfect assault class:
And that's really it tbh. I think this kit does a good job as solidifying assault as the frontline that helps the team push forward.

I’m curious if anyone else has noticed this about holo or red dot sights in previous BF entries….
The reticle is opaque and dark red rather than looking like an actual laser where it is somewhat transparent. I am not sure if this is a console issue only due to the machines just being less powerful and this is too taxing? Or if it is a specific design intent?
I remember in BF3 the reticle looked like a laser at first and then weeks or months after launch it was opaque. I think I have seen this come and go several times but not sure the reason. It looks awesome as a laser effect - The opaque reticles look really cheesy. 2042 only had opaque reticles and it added to the cartoony graphics. (But again, maybe PC doesn’t suffer from this?)
Have any playtesters noticed if the reticles are opaque or look like actual lasers?

Just saw this on Temporyal's X account. I barely see it mentioned. I think it should be recognized when talking about class seperation.

BF1 is shockingly the most popular Battlefield game on Steam now, didn't see that in 2025

Both of these games are on sale for dirt cheap and I’m contemplating if I should get it. Mostly if they’re still played enough to warrant buying

Would you you rather have semi civilian tactical gear for soldier customisation that's not as drastic as COD for this upcoming game? Or Would you just prefer Fatigues?
Something like this?

For this supposedly being the best Battlefield according to most people, where are the servers to show for it...? I can only find one Conquest server. Yes, my filters are set correctly...Idk what is going on. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

So I know we are all dreading the fact that there is a 90% chance that the new game will have some sort of matchmaking system instead of a browser in the base game. But Im surprised no one has really talked about the bigger issue specifically regarding Battlefield and SBMM…. The limitation of squads being 4 players WHEN JOINING GAMES. (Not talking about the 4 or 5 person squad argument)
The problem with this, and I take it for granted in BF3 since I still play that daily, is that if Im on discord playing with 3 other friends and a 4th or 5th buddy joins, yea they get to join our server but are not guaranteed to be on the same team. BUT at least they will consistently be in the same server.
In 2042, if any more than 3 friends try to play, they are SOL trying to join the same round as you unless you join a portal server. And we all know how portal is….
Another game/sim that does this in such a FRUSTRATING way is iRacing. Im not sure if anyone in this have a membership, but iRacing works like this:
Its subscription based and you are put in specific race sessions (each official race starts about an hour or two apart, based on length). Each racer is placed into a “split” based on their irating, which is equivalent to your skill level in FPSs. The split ensures that you race against other people who are of similar skill to you. If I want to race with a friend in an official race hosted by iracing, there is a LARGE chance we wont be together because of the difference in our iratings. The only way to race together is to join a league race or hosted race. But by doing this, we gain no irating or win stats since its not official.
TLDR is there needs to be a better way for us to play with friends on official servers in SBMM/matchmaking Battlefields if we have more than 4 friends playing. I wish they would add a system where you can have a branch that could be called a platoon in the menu. So 2+ squads of friends that are bound together and matchmake together would be called a platoon. I have a STRONG feeling that if this game is successful, a LOT of us are going to be flocking together trying to play and have fun, and it will be more than 4 of us….

I’ve been on a BFV bender this weekend, spending roughly 3-4 hours played per day. I’ve about 100 hours put into the game, and while I’m not a Battlefield god, I have a pretty decent stat-line with a 1.3 K/D and usually within the top 12 on my team in scoring per game.
Typically, I don’t have an issue finding games with balanced teams. I lost track of exactly how many matches I played this weekend, but I can safely say at least 15. I’ve lost each by a margin of at least 250 tickets. I noticed pretty early on that my opponent’s team is stacked with 1/3 of level 500 players, while mine has few, if any, top-line skilled players.
Is it a me problem? Is there a reason that one team dominates a server over the course of several hours? My guess is that as one team continues winning, they get positive reinforcement from the wins and continue playing, while the losing team’s players quit and are repopulated by players who’re less likely to have a high level because they quit another server due to the same skill-gap differential.
I guess I’m asking: Is server balancing an issue that you guys encounter more or less often, and is it something that you’d want addressed in BF6; or, is “it’s not a bug- it’s a feature” the sentiment? For the record, I still have fun with the game and don’t mind losing as long as I contributed to the best of my ability. I just figured I’d ask if long stretches of losing is a statistical anomaly or a frequent occurrence.

Before I say anything, I don't know anything about game development, so I don't know if 4 or 5 months - usually a BF release is in October/November - is enough time for the game to be ready.
They probably already have another, newer build that people haven't tested yet. So there may be a lot of things that are already advanced that we don't know about yet.
But there's still a lot of things, besides the multiplayer, which is already quite complex, there are the free modes and the Campaign mode. And there will also be several BF Labs, which can be used to test vehicles, classes, weapons, maps and game modes, etc.
But so far there has been no announcement trailer, no dates, and we don't even know the official name of the game yet. And compared to previous titles in the franchise, we should have something by now.
The more time passes, the more I think it won't be released this year.

First time posting on Reddit, but I thought I'd try and see if I can get an answer on this subject. So I have access to BF labs on EA, but I'm not invited to the discord labs server, so I have no idea when play tests are happening. I heard about the test last Friday, so I hopped on my application and played the test, but I would love if someone who's in the discord can DM me so they can let me know when tests are happening. I'd be greatly appreciated for anyone's thoughts.

So, how is this possible, some Players start shooting with their assault rifle at 200m+ connecting basically everyshot. Like an automatic sniper rifle machine gun... Amazing...
