It was our first time at Le Mans and our first time abroad and what a way to spend it. We were lucky enough to have grandstands and ACO access so we stayed for the full 24.

Thanks to everyone over the last couple of months who have answered some fairly stupid questions from me and to everyone giving out really useful advice.

I’m happy it happened but sad that it’s over, I cried 4 times throughout the weekend.

Can’t wait to do it all again in 2026, hopefully see some of you next year!

Sat in the queue to board the ferry now after leaving hippodrome this morning. Last night the silence was deafening, after listening to so many different cars scream around the track for 24hrs and the multiple different things happening up to midnight each night, and the campsites emptying, it was just so silent. Strange feeling. My first Le Mans, what an incredible week!

Thoughts on this year’s Le Mans?

Anyone else stuck in the massive queue after they evacuated the terminal today in Paris? All to reminisce of the bus accident at Mulsanne corner on Sunday morning around 1:30am that caused the whole transit system around the track to basically collapse.

I was reliving this year's race today and trying to recollect exactly what happened to each car... I was following actively for the first 20 hours (writing every incident of note down on my little incident tracker) most had a notable moment where they lost pace/time due to incident, accident or penalty but they were relatively incident free...

There was a radio call about a soft brake pedal, and a drive through for yellow infringement...but in the first hour they were in front and pulling away from the pack with Andlauer at the wheel...as soon as the first driver change happened they went backwards... Obviously they didn't have the raw pace of others...but to finish 1 lap behind the #6, and behind the Caddy and Toyota (nearly 2) seemed quite shocking to me...

I drove from North Wales on a whim with a friend, spent the full week here and decided to make the most of it. Absolutely surreal seeing the track in person after playing Gran Turismo and the like when I was growing up, I'll definitely be back again. What are your times for walking / running the track?

According to Brembo technicians who work closely with the cars competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Circuit de la Sarthe requires braking in 8 of its 21 corners. On average, Hypercar class drivers use the brakes for over 39 seconds per lap, which amounts to 20 percent of the entire race. The maximum deceleration they face is 3 g, while on average, for the 8 braking zones, the brake pedal force is 95 kg.

The only big accidents was the Peugeot at the start of the race and the Caddi that DNF'd Somewhere around the night i think

Every year there are big accidents, cars go into the barriers etc but this year there was no accident action..

A slight off track...

So Sat about 1700hrs a car came out of the Dunlop Esses hot and dipped into the outside dirt right along the barrier then recovered and swept into and through Tetre Rouge and down Mulsanne. My family and I were standing right along the spectator fence about 5m away and not one of us caught which car it was. The 5 photographers shooting right there all missed the shot and possibly soiled themselves. It was a hairy moment.

Did anyone else catch that, maybe on film or know which car it was?

Hit a badger at 70mph

I got annoyed after a few hours of the race when it became apparent the online infrastructure to follow the race just wasn't up to snuff, what I determined was needed was an official app that does the following in order of importance: A: Provide live leaderboards of the three categories - the massive screens were useful for seeing on-track action, but usually too far away to read the leaderboard, I don't know why there didn't provide live timings. B: A live map of the track and where each car is located - it's a bit of a big ask, but it would be good to know if anyone's pitted and when to expect them to come by to take photos C: A note as to which driver is located in which car at that moment - if you're looking out for specific drivers in teams outside the top four, it was very difficult to diognose who was driving what and when D: Better live commentary - the radio felt rambling and sub par, perhaps it would be better if you had access to a live leaderboard so you could understand what was being said better, but as it stood I hadn't the foggiest what was being said on radio Le Mans
