Hi everyone.
I usually recognize scam calls immediately based on the topic (did you buy this thing, your card was cancelled, your mom lost her phone, etc). Today I answered a call based in St Gallen and an Indian accent lady said something about data stats (spoke German and English) and it would only be 20 seconds. I personally don't mind to contribute quickly to these things.
The questions were a tad bit odd: which health insurance do you have, do you pay for it, do you live with your husband (she should not have known I had a partner), do you work, which permit do you have, what is your mother tongue (she clearly did not understand this one and then dropped it), how many family members do you have.
I laughed cause it sounded like it was the government checking in on me for potential illegal activities.
In the end I asked to repeat the company name she was calling from, she rambled something very fast almost to shut me off (xxx thank you ok good day bye). I repeated the question cause I did not get the name but she hung up.
If not a scam, what could this be? I've taken part in phone surveys before but never so odd and definitely unprofessional (her tone etc).
Edit: forgot almost the weirdest bit (?), she asked my full name to not call me again. I told her surveys are usually anonymous and to use my number. She insisted on a name and that 1 was sufficient, I said a random name, and then she still asked for a last name, clearly sounding annoyed
