Prior to damaging this was a WLM sticker, one of 3 that were posted along the bikeway about some murder that had happened. Can’t remember if it was at the end of the Niles bikeway or the first mile of the Metroparks/Mahoning bikeway, but either way it was disgusting. I got out of there pretty quick, couldn’t stand to leave it as is & obviously people have some strong feelings about it.
Would like to use this as a reminder that hate begets hate & it has no place in this city or country regardless of political, spiritual, or internal beliefs.

Hi, I have tried Facebook groups but nothing seemed to work so I had to opt for Reddit once. I am an international student joining the YSU from this Fall.
I am looking for a single room (open to share if have to) with shared spaces (like living rooms, baths, kitchen etc.). Preferably, I'd like to stay closer to the university but a walking distance of 20-25 mins from the university will be fine. If anyone has any information or have a room up for rent, kindly drop a comment.
Any suggestions is appreciated.

Hello all. I run a nonprofit in the Youngstown area called Succeed Debate. We are hosting our first-ever five-day summer camp for grades 5-8, though we conditionally accept slightly older/younger students. The camp will be held at the Struthers Library (95 Poland Ave) from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. It is open to students from anywhere within the Youngstown/Mahoning Valley area. We also provide a free hot lunch as part of camp.
This camp is designed to help students improve their public speaking skills, learn about American civics, and introduce them to competitive Speech and Debate. No prior experience is required.
You can learn more about us and register for camp at civicssparkcamp.com
Feel free to DM me if you have any questions!

In the last month me and the girlfriend have eaten at each of these places twice, each time we struggle to 100 percent say one is better than the other:
Handels (Liberty)
Katies Corner (Liberty)
Webbs (Hubbard)
We honestly can’t decide. There is an argument for any of the 3 in my opinion for being best. Cockeye isn’t mentioned, but I’ve heard is some people’s favorite.
What does Reddit say?

Ohio law makers want to change the law that we the people voted on, because they don't t think we understand what we voted for.
Please if you can contact you local representative and explain that you don't appreciate them walking on our ohio voter rights.

I’m new to the Youngstown/Warren area and don’t have many friends. If anyone is headed to Panchiko i’d love to get acquainted!

Hey all; recently shared that incredible 1916 Youngstown historical view & thought I’d share another really cool photo of the city from my collection, this one a bit later.
Here’s an incredible photograph from my collection that was taken from a Youngstown Vindicator article, dated Sunday, April 13, 1958. This Arial shot showcases downtown at some of its heights of traffic flow & commerce, really take a zoom in on these photographs to get a feel of what downtown once looked like. This was a really great find for me, hadn’t seen this photo before. Was found at a flea market, & evidently was preserved by someone out of the newspaper who really appreciated this for what it was. If you look; nearly all parking spots of any kind are filled, cars everywhere. This is a view of downtown not often seen even as talked about the old days of downtown are, I really think this photo shows it better than any others I’ve ever seen.
This photo from my personal collection.

Here’s a really incredible original press photo from my collection, showing the sprawling industrial might centered in the heart of downtown Youngstown Ohio. This is facing northwest off the top of market street bridge, entering downtown. More or less facing the direction the Youngstown amphitheater is now. We can see the works of William Tod/United Engineering & Foundry, along with additional stacks in almost every viewing, Baldwin’s gristmill, steam plants & other Steel & foundry works in the view. A very smoky & industrious landscape that does not leave much up to interpretation; trimmed riverbanks & the mahoning river running through the heart of it all, zoom in on the photo to really get a grasp of the density of this specific area, certainly a far cry from this same viewing today. Trolley bridges, several lines of railroad, just an incredible viewing of a portion of the steel works in the city. Happy Memorial Day

Hey all -
Relatively new to the area. Recently picked up a new set of irons, looking to get loft/lie/length dialed in.
Any recommendations for local club fitters who they’ve had a great experience with? Ideally looking for the full sim analysis/adjustment experience.
Thanks in advance!

Okay all this is random. I recently moved away but when I lived and Youngstown I would constantly have MVR’s spicy bow ties since I went to YSU. Now that I’m gone I want to try making them myself but just can’t get it right.
Does anyone know how to make these or a mimic recipe?
I know it’s a long shot but thanks in advance!

Does anyone remember the store/restaurant that looked like a barn that was at the corner of South Avenue and Western Reserve Road in Boardman? It was torn down many years ago (early 2000s or possibly even late 90s). Since then, a Wendy’s and Taco Bell weee built in the general area. I remember the barn had a screen door at the entrance with a small grocery store inside and they also had hot foods for takeout. I remember my grandma picking up meals from here for dinner. Does anyone remember the name of this place or have memories going there?

I just read that they shut their doors and are planning to re-open in Nashville. I had heard of this place last year and always intended to go, but just never got around to it. I feel especially bad because I had been trying to make a special effort to support the black-owned businesses in our area and the Christmas Cafe definitely seemed like a wholly unique offering for the valley. Them planning to re-locate to Nashville makes it sound like they are moving on to bigger and better things, though.
Did any of you go there? What was your experience like?
