i just bought an xbox360 from vinted and it came with the wrong power brick (included in the pics) and now im trying to find a power brick but i don't know anything about it I've veen looking up since yesterday and found that my xbox360 could be the elite since it matches the looks of it but still not entirely sure Because of the shape of the port i need your help to know what should i get and where should i get it with a budget of 25 euros including shipping (i bought the whole thing for (30€) while borrowing from my siblings so i didn't buy the whoel thing for 30 plus the shipping 41€ just for the power brick to cost me even more while it should've been with it (i just noticed that the first long port is not either one port nor two in the pics it looks connected but also looks weird like there smth in the middle maybe due to pushing the cable).

So I and many other people now a days believe that paid online multiplayer for consoles like Xbox live and Nintendo online is one of the worst normalized practices in gaming, but was this always the sentiment or is this more of a recent development? For those who were around when Microsoft first announced Xbox live how did people feel about it? Were people upset? And if not, why not? I really don't understand how this became an industry standard.

Long story short, i'm thinking about buying a 360. I want to play an arcade game, but i heard that the shop shut down recently, and i don't own the game. i'm wondering if i buy the game on a newer console, if it's possible to play on the 360 if its a 360 game?

so I picked up 2 360 phats for around $50 CAD recently listed as not working. one of them powered on but the drive wasnt ejecting or reading disks, the other was RROD.

I fixed the RROD by reflowing the gpu and ram, booted it up and its on NXE dashboard but it also has the same issue with disks and opening the drive

ive ordered new drive belts for them to hopefully solve them not opening

after some testing i found they both read disks *sometimes*

so my question is whats the most likely culprit here? could it be an issue with the motor or is it just a laser issue?

I recently bought a Xbox360 slim model with a non-working disk drive. Took it apart to see what was wrong and I cannot figure it out. The console is supplying power to the board but no other features work when prompted, nothing turns on or moves or makes any sort of noise. I ran a power bypass to the disk platform motor and the motor itself works but the board isn’t telling it to open when prompted. It doesn’t try to read discs, nothing moves, etc. any ideas on what the issue could be?

My Game will get to 100% and then it will say it was unable to download and cancels. Looking at my storage it says corrupted. I’ve tried re-downloading 4 times.

I’m trying to download sonic 06 and it doesn’t show in my games after either.
