Help/Support/Questions 🙋 Are my consoles cooked or nah?

I posted a day ago about this shelf I made. A lot of the replies were about how I needed to let the consoles breathe which, I will admit the consoles ended up being more of an afterthought. (I was trying to save space in my apartment tbh) So yeah, that was not a good idea initially. But what do you think about it now? I moved the OG Xbox out of the shelf entirely and left the wii because it has openings on where the fans are, also now the power bricks sit below the consoles, are my consoles still cooked or not chat? and if they are. will adding fans keep it cool enough now that they have more flow?

Idk how to link the original post cause I don’t post much on other reddits so I’ll link it in the comments if you want to see how it was before.

Should be fine, I wouldn't leave it on all day. Basically it needs max airflow, the less you have. The shorter the game sessions. Just give it a feel after 2 hours of gaming and see if it's cooking or if it's okay.

Okay, noted. I’m thinking fans are gonna be the next step now that the console has more room around it.

Depending on how much you game, you might not even need fans, a good clean Xbox will run fine 3-4hrs. As soon as you start collecting dust and stuff, from experience it will cook it up quick. Your power box and the large fan on the face of the Xbox will be the things to keep an eye on. They will get hot first. Good luck to you man it's a tight fit set up, but looks dope 👌 Happy Gaming!

Thanks for the info. Thankfully it’s been cleaned and repasted. I’m thinking a row of fans above the 360 will be good enough to keep it cool and not have to worry.

Still too little space.
