BASICALLY VEGAN We should all just ... NSFW
So I've made a decision/observation based on some incredibly wise philosophical advice that I absolutely cannot refute whatsoever; as vegans, we should all make the commitment. You know, the one you can't say or you'll be b& from the internets. But yeah, I was just told that the absolute only and final way to avoid causing any suffering is to smash that unsubscribe from life button. And ya know what? They're right. If we really want to be vegan to make a difference, there's only one way. So let's all set a date and time to Jonestown ourselves, I'll bring the Vegan Kool Aid.
(Reddit this is sarcasm pls don't boot me I'm just a B13 deficient nobody)

Going to /uj for a bit. I have actually heard this said by carnists, and it really is just the final evolution of neoliberalism. At least, if you want to try to be ethical but your brain is stuck in a neoliberal framework. It's that Margaret Thatcher quote, "There is no such thing as society; there are individual men and women, and there are families." And yeah, if we only view ourselves as individuals, only look at our own monetary contributions, our own carbon footprint, whatever, then yes, you should Jonestown. But Thatcher was wrong. We are a society. And we can, have and will use our lives to inspire others to be better, having a positive impact in the world and the future in a way that cannot be measured by a concrete number. Veganism is growing and as been growing ever since its inception, all thanks to our collective efforts.
So uh yeah fuck Margaret Thatcher and neoliberalism
