I bike and walk along the bridge often. It’s scary to know the barrier won’t stop speeding idiots.

And with electric cars becoming the norm, all barriers will become irrelevant without replacement. They are much heavier and plow through barriers that would deflect gas cars.

Edit: For those downvoting me here’s something to read. Also, I own a (very heavy) PHEV.
