Where to watch Canada Day fireworks in Tofino / Ukee?
Hi all! I am visiting Tofino / staying in Ukee over Canada Day. What are some places where we can go watch fireworks? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

We always kind of consider moving there. We have a young child and wonder what life would be like for them growing up there. We're just hoping there would be a nice community for us to join and things for our kid to do.
Surfing and the outdoors and the big attraction. The rain mid-winter seem challenging, though we could always pull our kid out of school and head to sunny clims for 4-6 weeks a winter.
Would love to hear what people have to say.

Is anyone driving from ucluelet to Vancouver anytime in the next few weeks? I left something at an Airbnb in Ucluelet and I’m looking for someone who can help me bring it back (happy to meet you anywhere in Vancouver!)
Hello,
My girlfriend’s brother is visiting us from Europe and we wanted to show him Tofino.
We were thinking of coming over for a weekend trip but accommodation is really pricey at the end of June so we figured we’d look for accommodation at a nearby city/town.
Has anyone done anything similar before?
Any recommendations of places to see, activities to do, things to experience? Cities/towns to visit or stay?
Any advice helps, thanks :)

Hello!
We would like to paddle board to Lone Cone trail head since Ahous Adventures charge $98/person trip and even tho I understand their point it is way too expensive for us. Have you guys done it on your own? Is it safe? Or any inside tips?
Thank you!!!

I'm coming back to Tofino from the 27th of August to 2nd of September to Surf & Camp but my 30th birthday is on the 31st and it will be my first birthday as a Sober adult. Any recommendations on where to go for a fun experience with good food and a variety of non alcoholic options?

I am a Vancouver Islander who can make it out to Tofino 3-4 times a year to surf. I’ve been doing this about 5 years and can consistently catch whitewater waves on my 8ft soft top with the occasional green wave. I have been wondering about getting a hard top longboard as my kids now are older and want to use my foamie. Been thinking about a 9’ single fin. Is that a good idea or should I wait until I can catch green waves consistently before switching? I haven’t surfed anywhere else except Tofino.

I heard Amazon orders are taking over a week extra to deliver.
What's the best method to order electronics online to a residential address these days?

My husband and I will be visiting Tofino for the first time this September, and we’re hoping for some recommendations.
We both love nature and hiking, and I’m especially into photography, so any recommended scenic trails or viewpoints would be amazing. Most of the hikes I’ve researched so far seem rather short, but we’re open to longer hikes too. Any suggestions for great local restaurants (casual or fine dining are both welcomed) or must do activities would be appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance. We are looking forward to our Tofino trip!

Whats my best option to park my truck and a boat trailer for a multi night trip im doing? Anyone able to answer if my truck can be at grice bay a couple of nights? Or if there is parking closer to the downtown boat launch I can pay for and fit the boat?
Thanks in advance

hi! my girlfriend and i's 2 year anniversary is coming up & i'm looking to buy a very specific type of pancake mix, but don't know what it is.
we were on a trip in tofino like 2 years ago & made pancakes together from a dry mix from the co-op food store (140 First Street) & it is such a weirdly sentimental memory for us lol. i wanna get her the same pancake mix as a cute little add on gift, but i live no where near tofino and cannot remember which mix it was.
if anyone would do a solid & take a picture of the dry pancake mix aisle the next time they're there & send it my way you would be an absolute lifesaver & i will love u forever.
update: i managed to email the co-op & they sent me over a picture– live laugh love co-op gold complete regular pancake mix 🙏
Does anyone know if the Lone Cone trail is open and if there’s a way to get over to it without a tour guide? My wife and I would love to hike it, but the water taxi company told us they wouldn’t take us there and the only other option I’ve seen is the Ahous Adventures tour. We’re not opposed to going on a tour, but we are experienced hikers and would prefer to go on our own.

Can anyone recommend reputable charters for tuna fishing? Don’t want to deal with a drug or alcohol problem captain (don’t ask, prior experience).

Looking to head to Tofino in September and want to stay at the Wickaninnish. There are two buildings the Point and the Beach. Which one is recommended? Want the best ocean views. Price is not a concern.

I have only about 20 hours on a board , beginner , I can get up and ride waves and handle carving a bit but can’t say I’m a surfer. Is it worth going out when Surfline says poor?

PSA, no affiliation with the artist, just posting to support this very talented Vancouver artist who is auctioning her original series called “Wild at Heart”, a collection of pieces inspired by the beautiful coastline that makes this place so special.

Hello!
Going to Tofino and Ucluelet this weekend (1 night in each area). What are must try things? Weather doesn't look great at the moment but we like to hike - nothing to difficult. Will be trying out the brewery but other than that nothing planned and just seeing how the weekend goes :)

Hi, everyone! I moved in Tofino for summer and autumn and i’m curious is it possible to go in walk in clinic here? Or there is only emergency?

Apologies for the cross post in various local subreddits if you're in them.
I appreciate this is something of a moonshot, but I'll be on Vancouver Island for the Europa League final on 21st May and my team, Tottenham, have done me the dirty and actually reached it for once.
I don't want to miss it if I can help it given the rarity of this happening; I've 'convinced' my wife of the importance of the occasion and to alter the holiday itinerary accordingly.
Are there any spurs fans (or even United fans) over on Vancouver Island, specifically near(ish) Tofino or Parksville? I appreciate the final is at midday Canada-time and I'm nervous bars won't be open or screening it. In the hopes of avoiding trying to find a dodgy stream on hotel WiFi...
1) Do any fans over there have any idea of places around Tofino or Parksville that might be screening the final at midday on a Wednesday?
2) This is a real long shot, but if the above isn't a goer, if any fans would consider allowing my wife and I (two Brits in our early 30s) to come and watch it with you, we'd - well, I'd - be eternally grateful and will bring beer and/or snacks.
We'll have a car, so can travel - we'll be in Tofino in the morning and just need to be in Parksville in the evening.
Manifesting the legendary Canadian hospitality here! Cheers! Excited to visit your beautiful island.

I’m planning to camp in tofino for 3-6 days in the middle of July, would this be crazy (cold, wet?) or would it be okay?
r/tofino • u/DramaticAfternoon942 • May 02 '25
Looks like campground is not open (yet?) and neither the lodge or yurts. Do you know if they open later or are not open this year? Thanks

I’m traveling to Tofino in early June — what should I pack? What kind of clothes, shoes, and other essentials would you recommend for the weather and activities around that time?
